  • Like and Subscribe for more content! In phase 1, I modified a cabinet to fit my space and organized the tools on it to better fit my workflow. Phase 2 is a bit more in depth. I'll be fixing and upgrading my primary workbench. This will also double as a mobile outfeed table for my table saw. There's a lot of thought and design that goes in to redoing the shop. This video will touch on some pieces of that process.

Those hinges are called "pintle and gudgeons". Pintle is the bottom part. Gudgeon fits ontop. Well done, sir. You've earned a subscription.

Thank you! And I’ve never heard of Pintle and gudgeons! Great to know!

Wen makes some good starter grade tools, I have and like their band saw and 12.5" planner, I bought these because I dont need the pro grade tools anymore since I closed up my side business making cabinets, I sold off those tools 20+ years back and now I want to fix up my house after alot of years of neglect. I love your ingenuity tackling everyday problems, also very few folks would show what their "younger self" did, even though we have all done similar things. Keep up the great work and videos.

Looks great nice job! I too am a wood horder haha. I found it helpful to have a specific area of my shop set aside for woodstorage, and im not alowed to have any wood that doesnt fit in there.
Also, the plywood strips on the bottom of the bench may actually make the cracks worse, because those 2x4s will expand/contract with the seasons and the plywood wont. Might be worth drilling oversized holes in the plywood wherever you have a screw going through

I wish you would’ve attached the table top form the bottom so there could be no screw holes on top!

I thought about that after the fact. I like that the screws are going into solid wood rather than particle board. But I agree, it would look nicer if I had countersunk the screws and gone from underneath.
