- This week the 5 little kids performed a cute baby doll program for me, Thomas, and Lori (Madalyn played the piano). One day Madalyn teaches them all how to rope. Then we get hit with Hurricane Helene and a 4+ day power outage and counting!
Here are the pictures and story of the week:

Happy to know that you and your children are fine. God bless you ❤️ 🙏 🙌
Praise God you are all safe! Thank you for updating us. I'll be looking forward to your next update to see how things come back together. You all always make the best of any situation. God bless you all!
Praise God you are all ok! I've been worried, but it is all in God's hands. Your dtr teaching lasso sounds just like you mommy! Precious children you have. 💙 We were even affected by Helene here in Scottsdale AZ. Monday for over 12 hours no cell or internet connection
Yikes. E coast to W coast ✨️ many prayers for families who lost loved ones, & blessed people unaccounted for. Thank you for taking the time to go in town to upload 🙏🏻 you walk with Christ and that brings me joy! ❤❤❤
It is refreshing to see such well-behaved & caring children. Sadly, the current public school system is a joke.
Glad you guys are safe! Hope you get power and water soon!
It's back on! Yay!!
I love the primary program! Always so special. The only thing missing here is that one kid who yells into the mic 😅
Haha!! That's so funny! That made me laugh. Some of my kids did have their dolls talk in really funny voices or be goofy. But as I said, it was almost an hour long so I only put in 10 minutes worth, haha.
Grateful you are all safe
Great leadership skills by your daughter organizing the play.
I'm so glad you are all okay.
So grateful you are all safe praying for you and your sweet family!! You are so good at turning lemons into lemonade!! 🩷
Thank you, Brea!
I always enjoy your content Marcie! ❤
Good neighbours are a blessing 👍🙏
Really like your podcast, your kids are wonderful and inspiring
Great neighbors
Playing like this is I use to do back in the day with no electronic devices to play with, and I loved it
I simply love the end with the campfire and doing things at the table A lot of good memories with a campfire.
Your kids read beautifully
Thank you!
I love your children singing about Jesus and the play. It is so peaceful. Your children sing really good.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Beautiful voices 🎵praying for you as you get through the effects of the hurricane in your area. Hope you get power soon 🤗❤️
beautiful family !
I Love the Primary programs
That’s was a good thing to take a picture of Tilly next the uprooted tree
So glad all is well with your family. Loved the children’s play and rope tricks! Ptl for good friends! Val C ❤️🙏🏻
I'm so glad that you didn't have any more damages I pray that you get ]ower back soon
Me too! I don't know what I would do if a tree fell on the house. And our power is back on! Yay!
Glad you all are safe during the hurricane!! We lost power on that Friday and got our power on Sunday afternoon.
This made me so happy to see! We've been thinking of and praying for you and your family. I'd say a tree down and loss of power for a few days is a blessing, considering what I've been seeing of the devastation. It's just like you to be resourceful and cook those pizzas over a fire! Love y'all.
Thank you for thinking of us, Jenny! Yes, you're so right about a tree in the driveway and no power for a few days is a blessing. I'm so glad one didn't hit the house! We've seen several of those around our town and it's so sad. I kept thinking of that--that I'd rather be in our house without power than having to camp outside in the yard while the house is being fixed if a tree were to have gone through the whole house--throughout the power outage. I feel like I missed hearing about the devestation because our power was out 4 days and then we left on a little road trip last minute. Today is my first time online and I'm just answering comments, not really on the Internet. But I hope to get some time to see what happened when we get back.
I’m glad to see a video letting us know you are okay and not much damage. I’m a little heartsick that it sounds like you are losing all the produce you worked so hard all summer to put up. I’m trying to figure out how I can afford to purchase a solar power generator big enough to keep my freezer going in a power outage.
A solar power generator would be cool! I need to look into that too. Fortunately our food looks fine. Freezers are so well insulated. I was really surprised. Stuff on the top was thawed out like the pizzas, so that's why we cooked them. But the garden produce on the bottom kept mostly frozen. I'm not one to worry about food though. I mean, meat yes. But garden produce where I'm putting it all in soups, stews, chilis and smoothies, I figure is fine. So don't worry! I didn't throw any away! I couldn't bear to. I started thinking of who I could ask to put it in their freezer but then gratefully the power came on at the end of the 4th day. I was so happy! I could wash dishes again and not have to pee in the woods anymore.
@@singlemomonafarm we don’t realize how good we have it until our flush toilet is gone!!! So glad you were able to keep the produce.
Did ur freezer food survive? Glad u made it thru the storm.
Yes, it did! We were eating it like crazy and then the power came on at the end of the 4th day.
You had a bad storm.😮
Sweet doll play
So glad yall are ok Marcie.
Great godly kids❤
Enjoyed it, where are you located if you dont mind me asking.
As a native San Diegan, it was really cool to see the storm! It rained so seldomly here, that my kids would run outside as soon as it rained (even a little bit) to play in it. And when I was a kid, we would play in the garage and pretend there was a big storm going on outside. Lol
I love these sweet stories! Thank you for sharing! It sounds so fun to play in a garage and pretend it is raining outside. What imagination. Glad to hear you enjoyed the storm footage. I was hoping someone would. :)
I'm glad all you had was a downed tree and power out. Many many people have no homes. Many lost their lives. Some towns are completely gone.😢😢😢😢. Very sad.
🥰
Whenever bad weather is predicted, turn the trampoline upside down, much less likely to go adventuring then 😉
Haha! Yes! We've had 2 tropical storms come through the past few weeks and each time I got all prepared and it wasn't bad at all. Then this one I didn't follow at all or get much ready for and of course this is the one worse than predicted for our area. Haha! Next time I'll try to follow more closely and get more prepared.
Is your sweet family doing alright after this hurriacane? Praying for you all!❤🙏
Advice is never to go closer than 30m from a downed line, please teach the children how far that is..people can be electrocuted from power still travelling through wet ground
Please be careful around the trees after so much wind. There could be broken limbs and branches that can suddenly fall. We’ve lived in the woods for almost 40 years and have experienced this.
Yes, good point!
Hello😊
Do you have a generator for your fridge at least? Put feelers out at Church ⛪️ maybe someone can help. You don't want to lose food!
I don't have one, but Thomas's friend's dad brought us his. At first we didn't have an extension cord to run it to the fridge but then another friend stopped by to check on us and happened to have one in his truck! So we used it for the fridge/freezer for about 6 hours on day 3 and 2 hours on day 4 before we went to town. But I calculated $9 of gas for the 6 hours and our electric bill is usually only $2 a day, so I didn't want to use it too much. Besides, it would cut off after a few hours and we had to let it rest before turning it back on. But it was definitely so handy to have, even for a few hours a day! I need to look into getting one. I'm even more worried about winter storms here b/c our driveway is too hard and dangerous to get out when coated with ice. Course the food is fine in ice, but we can't get out to shower at friend's houses or go to town to charge our phones. So a generator would be handy to have.
How tall would you guess that oak to be? It looks so big.
If youd put a large lid or pot over the top of your pizza it would be like a mini oven ;)
We should have done something! It took forever to cook the way we were doing it. Now that we needed to use it, we will finish building the pizza oven the little boys started a couple of years ago. Haha!
Does anyone know if this family is safe from the Hurricane ?
Does anyone know how this family is doing since the hurricane? I'm sure no internet but wondering if they are safe ,
Yes, power is back on!! Yay! But since it was off and we were tired of using the woods for a bathroom, we decided to go on a little road trip and see a few sites Madalyn wanted to see while she's home this semester. So I haven't been on the Internet except getting directions. And tonight we got to our destination early enough to check my email and see y'all worried about us. You're so sweet! We're good! Thank you so much!
I can't like the video. Sorry. It's happened on several channels I've noticed.
Glad you're all safe.
