When I go to Judy’s Sichuan cuisine in Chesapeake, VA I usually order V17 which is the eggplant in garlic & ginger sauce but they don’t have pork. I’m definitely making this soon!
@@rackoflam made it 3x during the holidays. Excellent comments from the guests. Note the semi-fatty pieces taste much better than the no fat pieces. Look forward to a fried rice recipe for Uncle Roger to critique....hiyaaaaa.
Thanks for the recipe! I made it once according to the recipe and the second time I tweaked it slightly by grinding up a 50/50 blend of pork butt and some spring black bear meat. It turned out great! I would like to claim that it was some clever fusion cuisine but really I was just cleaning out my freezer. Happy accident. Cheers

Please do a course in food vlogging!
Alright Save me a plate thanks 😊
what can you use in place of dark soy sauce? is dark soy sauce the same as “regular” or full sodium soy sauce?
Just looking at you is enough!
Just curious. Did you learn all these great dishes from your parents? From working at a restaurant? From just trying out recipes on your own?
My parents used to own a restaurant and are amazing cooks. I also love experimenting in the kitchen
There’s a specific name for the roll-cut method in Japan, Rangiri ! Not sure if it originated from Japan.
Why show how to stir the sauce for so long.
This is a must order for me when I eat out, served in a clay pot and comes with small pieces of salted fish, hmmmmmmmmm
😋
what level should the fire be when cooking everything’?
Medium to medium high should be fine
@@rackoflam thank you!

The background music causes to have gastric !
Very boring! Too long sequences for each step!
