Isn’t it overwhelming? It bothers me to think I’m not always going to be around, and to think of all the great books I won’t get to read. Idk, lol maybe that’s a weird thought, but nonetheless, it still bothers me! Great video 🙂
I just read The Nowhere Girls last month and it skyrocketed to my top five favorites of all time. It's absolutely amazing. It is incredibly diverse (it features a chubby Christian girl struggling to find her place, a latina who wants to be in a punk rock band, and a girl who is autistic and obsessed with Star Trek, along with a whole slew of other characters sprinkled in that you'll love) and it handles it subject matter in a way that makes you think and reflect on it long after you've read it. I just have to gush about this book because I loved it so much and I feel that not a lot of people have talked about how great it is.Loved the video and can't wait to see what you think about the books once you've read them. :)
I watched the mini-series for 11/22/63 and really enjoyed it! That Unwind boxset is so beautiful! I only have to read the last book (Unbound) with the short stories. I really loved that dystology! I've read The Opposite of Loneliness this year and I really enjoyed the essay and the non-fiction was really powerfull in my opinion! I read Night Film last year and really loved it! I flew through One of Us is Lying, I believe it has been optioned for a tv show as well! Wonder is such a beautiful read! Helium sounds really interesting! Great video!
There are so many good books on this list! I hope you get to them all! Lol you were so sassy in this video and it was hilarious! I also need to go through and clean off my shelves and unhaul some books as well. Great video!
You should add A Clockwork Orange to your TBR. It’s a really great classic story and was first published in 1962. If you do read it, make sure to get the edition that has exactly 21 chapters. When it was published in America, it only had 20 chapters because the very last chapter was removed because American publishers didn’t like how it changed the whole story. The editions sold in bookstores in America now have that last chapter after the author changed that. Anyway, great and unique book.
My TBR Pile for the rest of the year: *Murder on the Orient Express* by Agatha Christie *looking for alaska* by John Green *An Abundance of Katherines* by John Green (Again) *Truly, Devious* by Maureen Johnson *Gone* by Micheal Grant *Aftermath* by Chuck Wendig I’m sorry I just wanted to stay safe everyone!
Thank you for bringing us that video!! I read Gerald's Game and Full Dark, No Stars in September and loved them both! Gerald's Game is not for everyone but I think it's worth the read! Plus it's connected to Dolores Claiborne! Also it feels great to do a book unhaul once in a while :)
Skipping all the King books. I played match Julia's TBR!! I have 4 matching books on my TBR pile - Wolf in White Van, Little Fires Everywhere, The Wonder, All The Ugly & Wonderful Things. Then I have 7 more that I have read. Behind Her Eyes, Helter Skelter, A Handmaid's Tale, The Dinner, Haunted, The Long Way To A Small Angry Planet, The Vegetarian. 11 points! woo-hoo!
I read Pet Sematary not so long ago and it was so good ! I don't usually read Stephen King books but I picked this one up during the holidays and I really liked it and the creepy atmosphere King created through the characters and the events occuring throughout the story; definitely one of my faves by him.
I've read and enjoyed Far From the Tree, Autoboyography, All the Crooked Saints, We Are Okay, On the Fence, We All Looked Up, Tiger Lily, Heartless, All the Ugly and Wonderful Things, Three Dark Crowns, Walk on Earth a Stranger, Tash Hearts Tolstoy, and Moxie. I'd recommend all of them, some more than others. My top 3 of this list would probably be Tiger Lily, All the Crooked Saints, and Far From the Tree.
I am almost done with reading "Scythe" by Neal Shusterman. Now I understand all the good reviews 😊 If you are in the mood for a dystopian book I would definetely recommend it to you. I am also very excited what the second book in the series will be like 🤗 Have a great weekend Julia 😗
stephen king books i want to read are It, the Strand, Under the Dome, the Tommyknockers (although this will scare me a lot) the sequel to the shining. You should read sleeping beauties and the Green Mile by him, and Carrie if you haven't. i have wonder woman book and i need to read it ASAP! Currently reading darker shade of magic though
I adore Stephen king and literally inhaled so many of his books, but I honestly couldn't finish sleeping beauties; the premise was amazing but there were way too many characters and it was just soooo long; I didnt care about a single character, none of them were unique or had interesting personalities and it was really sad because I love king and I was so exited to read it. though I do think King still has some good books in him, hopefully outsider will be more promising!
I, too, don't really came to like it. Firstly, because the t was so long and so many characters, and secondly because I just didn't like the idea of it lmao
My tbr pile is roughly 80 books so I'm really trying to read them all this year. (probably only gonna read about 40 lmao) I once tried to read sleeping beauties by Stephen King but eventually stopped on page 300 simply because I didn't like the story line at all. Like the writing though
do you own the flowers for algernon grapes of wrath or to kill a mockingbird? catcher in the rye any Conrad? hemingway? the woman in cabin 10 sounds cool
Read Pet Sematary. It was super good. I also highly recommend reading Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It was a lot of action and many more. Also you’ll love James Patterson as well. He is also super good. I recommend Now you see her. It’s a lot of Mystery, Crime, Suspense and Thriller. Plus a lot of going on. You remind me of me because 1. I love Stephen King 2. I am a nerd 3. I am a nerd of books 4. I share books with my friends and family 5. I can see you running a library or a bookstore I am also planning on reading Sleeping Beauties as well. I am a huge fan of Harry Potter so I highly recommend reading them as well
I still have the rest of the young elites trilogy to read!! I read the the first book recently but didn’t love it D: heard nothing but GREAT things about Far From the Tree and Autoboyography!
I think you should continue with The Raven Cycle, it's great for spring rainy days! You said you might unhaul Heartless or Caraval? I was wondering why.... btw you're right, that was A LOT of books, no wonder you got tired...
I'll be honest, I was skeptical I would actually see 200 books... touche' Julia, touche'. Btw, I want to be reading The Fireman at some point soon, we should buddy read it
Wow this must have been a hard video to edit and film! Thanks for doing it though:) out of the books you haven't read yet I would say the best ones that I read are: Helter Skelter, Middlesex, Handmaid's Tale (creepy), Harry Potter series, and definitely Scar Tissue (I'm a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan lol) And I have a lot of books I haven't read yet either..this video reminded me to get to it.
So I recently started reading again after a long pause because of school etc. I am more into the sci-fi genre so do you have any sci-fi books you recommend?
reading hearts in atlantis killed me in so many ways. and the movie is a personal fave too. though i can no longer watch it without tearing up coz the late anton yelchin starred in it.
the secret history is the best book i've ever read, but save it for when you have a lot of time and motivation to read bc the chapters are LONG (i think there's only 6-8 in the whole book) and the vegetarian is so beautiful and poetic but very very very uncomfortable to read so make sure you're in a nice and stable mindset when you do
Omgg you have to read the absolute true diary of a part time indian !!! That book was sooo good i remember just sitting in my bed reading it non stop i couldnt put it down
PLEASE FINISH HARRY POTTER! Holding up the universe is really beautiful. Girl boss left me feeling like i could do anything. The summer i turned pretty is one of my favorite series. Is lovely and heartbreaking. I also have to read 4, 5 and 6 from vampire academy.
I don’t have nearly as many books as you but I’d say about 50% of the books I own I haven’t read (around 140 on my TBR) so I’m quite impressed by your 20% of unread books
Dolores Claiborne and Homegoing are fantastic! I really didn't enjoy How I Live Now :/ Silver Linings Playbook is great, I preferred the mental health rep in the book to that in the film. Also The Bell Jar and The Gigantic Beard that was Evil are both amazing!
5,6,7 of Harry Potter. If you havent read those yet they are relatively quick reads and they are better than the first 3. I don't want to overhype you, but they are a treat and there will be tears so be ready for that.
I really really enjoyed American Gods by Neil Gaiman, particularly the all cast version of the audio book, favorite book of 2017, and the Lonely Hearts Hotel was a close second. The Wonder was an interesting read, a little slow but an interesting story nonetheless. Our Chemical Hearts...I enjoyed it but thought the main character needed to back off his love interest.
Random question : I always jam to your intro/outro and I was wondering if maybe you have a spotify? And if you only have a personal one, maybe some playlists from other people that you enjoy listening to?
I'm currently reading If Everyone's an Aliebn, Ur a Aliebn Too. I loved The Stand, it's a big massive epic King book. I loved A Quiet Kind of Thunder, such a great book. Beautiful Broken Things is on my TBR. I really liked Wonder. Down Among the Sticks and Bones was good too, but I liked Every Heart a Doorway more than you did, I think (according to your GoodReads). The Lover's Dictionary was an interesting read, a different way of telling the story, I was a bit disappointed with the ending I think. Glory O'Brien's History of the Future I liked, but then I really like A. S. King's books, I know they are not for everyone though. The Summer I Turned Pretty was an okay read for me, the whole trilogy was okay for me. Geek Girl I really liked. The Dinner was good, but I can see it's not for everyone (also, I have no idea how the English translation of the Dutch holds up, as I read the Dutch original). The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet I really enjoyed. A Darker Shade of Magic, A Gathering of Shadows and also book 3 in the series were quite good, I liked the series a lot. Harry Potter, well, I liked all 7 books, so if you liked 1 - 4 I think you'll enjoy 5 - 7. Love and Gelato was a nice read, I didn't find it that special but it was enjoyable. I liked Turtles All the Way Down but it could be triggering for some people, in related to OCD and germs. I personally thought the thought spirals were well done. I found the mystery to be a bit of a letdown, but I enjoyed spending time with Aza (the main character) and see how she thinks. I DNFed Our Chemical Hearts, I might try to read it again some time, it could have been my mood, I read about 120 pages and just wasn't liking it for some reason. I have some of your TBR books on my TBR too :).
You absolutly have to read : - The rest of the Harry Potter serie - 11.22.63 by Stephen King - Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King - The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - The Secret History by Donna Tartt - How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff Stay away from : - The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han - Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson - American Gods by Neil Gaiman XO
Isn’t it overwhelming? It bothers me to think I’m not always going to be around, and to think of all the great books I won’t get to read. Idk, lol maybe that’s a weird thought, but nonetheless, it still bothers me! Great video 🙂
Krista Lynn I feel sorry for the people who are no longer here that don't get to enjoy the great books that we have today.
I just hope i'm going to be around enough to finish all King's book. Lol.
One word: ME. I will literally never get to my TBR pile. It’s just impossible if new books keep coming out all the time.
What is the meaning of tbr?
@@cherybom2885 It means To Be Read
Girl take your dammm stickers off haha 😹🙌🏼💞 luv your face xx
So many good books on this list. Phantom limbs, moxie snd the bell jar are amazing.
A Study in Charlotte! I just got the third book, and loved it. It also seemed different than a lot of the other books you have, so it might be fun!
I'm a major mood reader so I totally agree, it's nice to have lots to choose from! And besides, one library can never ever be too big ok

The number of books is the same, but the ratio is 3/4ths of what I own because I usually purge what I've read to make space for more.
Skipping all the King books. I played match Julia's TBR!!
I have 4 matching books on my TBR pile - Wolf in White Van, Little Fires Everywhere, The Wonder, All The Ugly & Wonderful Things.

Silver linings playbook is a must read and watch the movie afterwards.
Yea, no. Ditto for The Institute.
My tbr pile is roughly 80 books so I'm really trying to read them all this year. (probably only gonna read about 40 lmao)

I just finished the book Alive by Scott sigler and I really liked it, I hope he comes out with another like it. Great video lots of luv 😉
I read the Buick 8 in 6th grade like 4 times lol it's not his best in my opinion. Maybe cause I was so young, and read it many times idk
not a bad ratio! Great stack of books.
You remind me of me because
