In the game there is a kit that lets you eject from the titan with the cloak effect so you don’t necessarily have to be a cloak pilot.
But it’s only for when ejecting out of a titan- (til they hit the floor) so that basically turns down your reasoning.

@@MxBoY-xg2yd in the titanfall 2 cinematic trailer you see a militia pilot I assume its latismoa using 3 different abilities sonar, grapple, and holo which proves you don't have to be a specific pilot to use specific abilities except some exceptions such as stim pilots and phase shift pilots abilities that are designed for simulacrums and machines.
Another explanation is that the pilot class uniforms are for player recognition in PvP, meaning their abilities and gear are not tied to their outfit. An example of this is Jack Cooper as he has a Grapple Pilot uniform and helmet yet can only cloak and not grapple.
Refuse to believe that an IMC grunt takes out a pilot, but Apex
logically would not make sense but that's just apex lore and a fuck ton of plot armor and titanfall fans receive 99% fatal brain damage or that pilot was probably playing on masters difficulty.

@@DumplingDoodle I don't follow the lore much but I thought I read somewhere that bangalore's training was cancelled due to the planet getting blown to bits, ok her brother had completed his though. I could be wrong about Bangalore tho.
@@Lone_Wandering0 sure, but that's more than the other legends can say. pilots are fucking elite, a normal person who hasn't undergone pilot training couldn't kill one. someone who's pilot training was interrupted still probably couldn't kill one, especially without a proper helmet and jumpkit, but at least they'd have a fighting chance.
I think we all know that in the lore, the pilot suit doesn’t affect what power you get (maybe it’s different with stim and phase cause they are robots) but the suits don’t give you the ability, which is why you can do those executions like now you see me without being a cloak
Also my opinion on the skin is that it is mid asf. Just give this animation to the skin where she is actually a pilot (the prestige one) and everyone will be a lot happier
Mirage also goes invisible when he uses his ult or gets downed despite not having a pilot suit.

Stim pilots were people in tf1, and pretty much all you need is a glove/gauntlet to use phase as Jack Cooper only had a little glove & Wraith has a much more heavily designed glove. I know Jack didn't necessarily jump into the void, but passing through it between two set of time. I think the simulacrums & such are mostly designed to be able to do what people do. Like how in Destiny Exo's have a hefty lore behind what they are and go through physically/mentally, but when the lore meets the gameplay & writing, they're generally the same as their more 'human' counterparts. Especially when it comes to the player models sharing the same exact rigs & animations lolol.
Apex is THE game to very much flesh out simulacrums (and the likes of robots), like how Rev & Ash are.
Bangalore has some of the thickest plot armour I have ever seen
"plot armor" my guy she fought and trained in a war against pilots and has pilot training. Pilots are also overrated

@@Dragosmom. after gridiron energy surge pretty much all tech was fried including titans. The syndicate had prepared and had some crappy tech so when the surge hit they grew to power cars cause they still had some tech.
The appearance of the pilots is just to help the players identify what ability they are fighting against. The abilities aren't tied to specific pilot outfits in the lore

In the lore, pilots have every single ability in their arsenal. Only in the game does it make you pick an ability and stick with it. That explains why the holo pilot can go invisible.
I can't remember which dev said it but they explained how the way a pilot looks doesn't determine what ability they can use. they even swapped which pilots had what abilties a couple of times, for example the grapple and phase pilot were swapped at one point.
yeah i remember in the beta before the game came out, grapple pilots had phase pilot skins and i think cloak pilots looked like grapple pilots?
if i remember right moy parra in one of his videos told that in lore every pilot can use any ability but in game they use different models so players can see what ability enemy have
Yes, even in the intro to the campaign Cooper, or maybe Lastimosa, are seen using multiple tacticals, and in TF1 you didn't need to be a robot to use stim, so the robots are just a bonus more or less.

@Omega-Omi Sometimes, auto titans have a miss chance, so it’s funny, sometimes they miss you right in front of them, and other times they kill you across the map while you’re in stim and you didn’t even know they were there lmao.

Realistically, they should be able to. Take away their jump pack and armor, that’s all a pilot is. Especially since Bangalore was an especially skilled soldier.

@Adminium21 Vanguard class titans are also the most OP titans they use 5 titan batteries rather than the standard 2 and have access to all titan kits from titanfall 2, there's also the fact that Cooper was trained by a veteran SRS pilot who is considered one of the best of the best within the SRS, also cooper was considered to be one of a kind as he is remarked by lastimosa as being talented, just adding on to your comment.

Even the animation is giving Bangalore plot armor… the pilot appears way too early and he just lets Bangalore notice him.
The idea is that the smoke glitches out the cloak. And she presumably started carrying a smoke grenade system after figuring that out. Even tho I don't think it does anything to Mirage's cloak in game. I could be wrong.

Bangalore beating a pilot is the most infuriating thing, after Respawn abandoning the game
Apex lore brings more life to the titanfall universe as a whole, but in turn then end up retconning titanfall Lore, mainly nerfing pilots and undermining them as a whole as contrary to popular opinion from most apex fans pilots aren't just "highly skilled / trained grunts with jump kits".
Pilots aren't demi gods they can be killed even by a mere grunt and by legends even though legends arent exactly on the same level as a pilot as they participate in a blood sport rather than actually being battle-tested in a full out war.
However i have a problem with the way respawn portrayed this, they didnt even bother to show bangalore in a pilot gauntlet or a simulation doing some form of pilot training, but she gets bodied by a militia pilot in the midst of battle on a warzone surrounded by smoke and chaos and survives and wakes up on a wrecked craft injured but suddenly encounters an imc pilot she who is injured and her brother who is injured somehow managed to restrain and finish off a fully geared experienced pilot, this is something I have a big problem with.
I'd also like to note that I've been following the titanfall games since the 1st day release of titanfall 1, even until the 1st day release of apex.

Simple answer. Toon craft who is a lead animator in respawn who worked on tf2 and apex said this. The reason why they got a holo pilot was mainly because of a deadline for work and the model for the pilot bang beat with her brother is made by the cinematic team and they simply don’t have the time to get the model back into the game because those are done by a different team. He also stated, pilots vs apex legends are very much going to end with a pilot winning 90% of the time because legends are not soldiers like pilots
My take on it is that the holo pilot doesn't know how to use the cloak as well as a cloak pilot. Though it was most likely game devs wanting to make TitanFall players happy and still keep the higher-ups off their ass.
canonically, every pilot has access to every tactical, so a phase pilot can technically use a pulse blade, and an awall pilot can use a grapple, but for balance sake, and simplicity, they limited players to only be able to use 1 tactical in gameplay.

Holo Pilot with Cloak
In the Titanfall 2 opening intro it shows a pilot using the pulse knife (data knife which all pilots carry) cloak, grappling hook and even holo. Unless it’s just to show what they all can do I don’t think it’s necessarily impossible for a holo pilot to go invisible. I just don’t think normal pilots will be stimming or phasing like the robot pilots.

I'm fairly sure that in the lore a pilot would have all of the kits. The different suits for different abilities is for balancing reasons and so they're easy to tell apart in multiplayer.

According to the start of Titanfall 2, a Pilot/Titan can only be stopped by and equal or stronger force, aka, A Pilot or a Titan
pilots have all the abilities but in game they don't allow you to choose all of them
They either make a solos mode where everyone can only play pilot, or the game dies eariler than wanted

To explain why the “holo” is “cloaking” is because that character design is not just for holo.
Any pilot could have any kit. You don’t need to be a robot to have stim or phase shift. Jack Cooper did phase shift just fine. Speaking of which… Jack cooper has the “grapple” design of skin… but he goes invisible not grapple.

Pilots don't have set skins In lore except for phase and stim since they're all simulacrums so yes holo pilot skin however it's a cloak pilot also any pilot can do that execution
Every pilots has cloak, grapple, holo, stim, and other stuff like amp wall, respawn gave each class different builds to make it easier to discern witch pilot class is witch. It's entirely for game play reasons, a pulse blade pilot can grapple, a stim pilot can phase shift, and a holo pilot can cloak.
only simulacrum pilots can use phase shift and stim interchangebly due to being machines stims are kinda drugs to soldiers in the frontier as you can see in octane hence why stim and phase shift pilots are machines because they arent affected by side effects

IIRC, canonically the pilot outfit and their abilities are not canonically linked. This was an in-game thing to make identification easier.

That’s because the name of the execution is called “now you see me”. It was usable with any pilot class.
The only legends that could compete against a pilot are the robots. Revenant, Ash, and Pathfinder. Ash has the experience of a pilot. Revenant's soul purpose is to kill. Pathfinder has the mobility and combat programming.
The pilots have all the abilities, it's just not that way in game for balance reasons.
Mirage is obviously based of the holo-pilots, and yet when he is reviving or respawning a teammate, he is invisible. Only a Cloak-Pilot can canonically go invisible. Maybe after the war, the idea of a Cloaking and a Holo pilot was merged. Just a wild guess
