- The Most Beautiful Drive in Sri Lanka. Today we will make the journey from Kandy to Sri Lanka as we head off to continue knocking out challenges for the Tuktuk tournament! This drive has been one of my favorites in the country so far and I hope you all enjoy it just as much as I did!

The temple is Aluwihara and it is Historical because it is the place were the buddhist teachings first wrote in books in entire world. Until this event all the teaching was memorized by monks.

21:38 Not 1700 years old! Lol. That temple "Matale Alu Viharaya" was the place where Buddhism was written in text format for the first time? Before that, since Lord Buddha, Buddhism was a teaching that practiced by memorization. So the first Buddhist Book the Tripitaka was born there. That temple was built more than 2100 years ago by King Devanampiya Tissa. 24:20 And those paintings are not just 200 years old. Those painting are dates back to 200-100 BC that means 2100 years or more older. The department of archeology has preserved the paintings by applying a some sort of protective coating.
