Oh man....I love your vids......I'm currently teaching myself irish chromatic harmonica....not only are your vids really lovely to listen to, but they have helped me tremendously....thank you.
Hey Paul ! I have few more questions ahah Is it possible to play this song on a BC accordeon ? I'm reading a lot of things about DG and BC, and there are more people advising BC to get more possiblities... what do you think about that ? Thanks again dear Paul !
BC is best if you want to play trad Irish music in the authentic traditional way, mostly just playing right hand. If you want to play solo arrangements like this with a full left hand accompaniment then DG is a better choice as it's much easier. You can certainly play this melody on BC box (you can play ANY melody on BC box) but it's much more difficult to do this kind of left hand part and sometimes just not possible.
Does this Melodeon have Durell or Tipo reeds? What’s your opinion about this? I’m planning on learning diatonic melodeon to play mostly English Folk Music. The ones that appeal to me are the S....Lady, Saltarelle Boube, Elfique, Inferno, and Baffetti Binci III. Thanks! Happy Christmas and New Years!!! ✌️🌞😎🎅🏻🎄🪗🎻🥂🥂
I think they're Durals. It's a great box and I've been very happy with it. The ones you've listed are all good instruments. The third voice is good to have.
There's a large diaphragm condenser just out of shot on the right hand (nothing special - one of these www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_sc1100_grossmembranmikrofon.htm ) and a clip on mic on the left hand (one of these - www.thomann.de/gb/audio_technica_pro35r.htm ). And I indulged in a bit more reverb than usual for this one.

Your sound here is perfect. How did you mic this please?

Excellent! Is this on B/C?
This is on D/G. Could be done similarly on B/C though.
