Noctambule (Marla Fibish & Bruce Victor) play Turlough O'Carolan's beautiful Eleanor Plunkett in a parking garage in Berkeley, CA. Recorded in February 2014.
Very kind of you -- and our apologies for not replying on a more timely basis. By the by, we have yet to find a venue with the kind of acoustics supplied by a parking garage. Then, again, there is usually less traffic and blaring of horns in more donventional venues. Again, our thaniks and our best wishes to you, Bruce and Marla
Exquisite! The style of performers and performance is in beautiful relief to the venue. At one with Turlough, this will echo and ripple into time. Míle buíochas!
Beautiful... thanks for posting this. Your playing is inspirational... I kept waiting for Aryeh Frankfurter to appear from the minivan in the back ground.
@@martialharpistmatthew1837 Oh my, thank you both for this. And our apologies for not replying in a more timely fashion. Our best to both of you, Bruce and Marla
Very kind of you Rogha! Thank you very much! And our apologies for the late reply. We'll try to figure out how to gain access to your radio show (in the event that we fail entirely...or if you have time...our email address is noctambulemusic@gmail.com). Our best wishes to you, Bruce and Marla

Missed this the first time around -- so our apologies for the late reply. The fact of the matter was the all the good mens' rooms were taken that night and we were under deadline.
A nice "Fantasia" based loosely around Eleanor Plunkett but not the real deal at all at all. Andre Visser's rendition is really spot on. The tune stands on its own merits. No need for improvisation or ornamentation.
Well, that was magical. So glad my new friend Cynthia suggested you. ❤
An absolute joy to listen to this. Turlough Ó Carolan would be so proud to hear this interpretation .....
Thank you for your very kind words, sir. And our apologies for not replying on a more timely basis. Our very best to you, Bruce and Marla
A parking garage! Who would have thought! Beautiful is an understatement.

+Henry Royal LOL! Would that he hadn't gotten so tired of jumping in and out of the van....:)
Loved this. Thanks.
I wrote words for it once, "If you knew how much I love your son." I did this after talking on the phone to the mother of my love, John Butler.
Buck Lilli that’s my dads name. John Butler. Lol

왜 지하주차장에서 연주를 하나요?
I thought one of them was going to sing "follow the money".
I can't wait for the encore in the mens room...

Ah no, I think Toirdhealbhach Ó Cearbhalláin would turn over in his grave. This is very nice but it is not Eleanor Plunkett.

Guys music is about expression... nothing is set in stone. It’s all up for interpretation. I think Carolan would scold the both of you right now.
