@@vinhgetaeverything is dialed up one more notch. More race car and a bit rougher but they also enable ignition cuts too, so I love it. You can flash it, test things out and see what you think. You’ll probably need to code in Sport+ as well.
Something I noticed too, after you flashed it the car didn’t make that stupid farting sound between shifts. That in itself is worth it for me to do on my Supra
Quick question. Might have missed it in the video. How much power are you making and was this on the stock trans? I just went top mount with a KLM 6466 Savage and made 770 hp at the wheels. The plan is to get a stage 1 trans rebuild, but I'm wondering if I'm hitting limits on the stock trans and the XHP would help?
car looks like a blast at 'only' 450whp badass ride man not gonna cap i am/was an mk5 hater just because i had so much love for the mk4 but the car is growing on me- just wish the aesthetic was a little less alien looking lol
I did this on my x5 and it made it a whole new vehicle to drive. Torque ounch down 15% shift speeds up 15% and set to med fast fast d set to sportive s set to sportive plus and its a monster
Did xhp on my car last year stage 2 with simple bolt-ons shifts were hella smooth. Switched to stage 3 after I did a turbo upgrade, and its extra crisp, but in auto sport mode with vsc off it would hold out the gears until you redline the car. Would not recommend stage 3 if you daily in auto mode only. Play around with the shiftmaps and you can adjust the blips.
I have a 2021 2.0t Supra. Can’t tune the car with BM3 like my M140i. I think the ecu needs to go to Femto. But; first step maybe is XHP. Does my ECU needs a visit to femto to do XHP?
Ugh, I need to this BAD. At least for the improvement in normal mode - can’t stand lugging the engine and building boost at like 1000 RPM before it’ll finally upshift just cause I’m moving about in normal traffic.
Thanks for video on xhp However, Please use regular seatbelt and maybe extender to make 3 point work. Rigid harnesses and no HANS device is recipe for a basal skull fracture in an otherwise survivable crash.
Stage 3 is the best.. ZF was a gamechanger in AT’s. It’s so insanely good and Xhp just made it even better. Every manufacturer makes their own software for it and they all suck compared to what XHP has done. My tip for the novices : - don’t change too many advanced settings after going stage 3. The OTS pack is already really good. - Don’t switch on drag mode if you don’t need it. - only switch on basic functionality on the settings you want. Just because you can change it, doesn’t mean you are suddenly an expert mechanic finetuning a race car.
Hows long term use of Stage 3? I dont want to cause premature wear and tear at least not early into my cars life. Is stage 2 consider a daily use map and stage 3 is considered their spirted driving / aggressive map for limited use?
@ there is less clutch slippage so in effect it would cause less wear and tear than the factory setting. There are a few other benefits such as it’s telling the transmission that the engine is producing more torque so it won’t interfere with the powerband by applying early torque limits. It’s all a bit much to explain in one message without mentioning the whole ins and outs and drawbacks. Stage 3 only shows itself if you go sport+. Any other setting is less “hardcore” but nothing gives you the DCT feeling as stage 3 does. I went stage 3 and recently chose to go for sportive+ in D comfort mode because I didn’t like the early upshifts to D6 and 7. It caused my car to stick around 1000 RPM a bit too long so it bogged down. And last thing you want to do in a car is press the accelerator in a high gear with low RPM. My advice is to not go to a tuner but buy the equipment and the license and fiddle around until you’re satisfied. It’s safe and no reason to be worried if you just take the precautions as described during the process. Fiddle around with the simple settings until you’re comfortable. You should be well satisfied with the pull down menu option even before you would think of adjusting advanced sliders etc. No need to go that far. Keep it simple.
I did mine too a while back 10/10 recommend. Makes it a totally different car.
I agree! Are you running stage 3?
Man that flash went so smooth! almost like he followed all the steps the first time 😜
It never goes as smooth as UA-cam videos makes it seem 😅
I ran stage 2 for about a year now i'm on stage 3 XHP tune at 610whp. :-)
How much of a different was stage 2 versus 3?

That’s so crazy🏎️🔥
xHP tune's definitely worth it. It shifts even quicker with traction mode or VSC off!
I didn't know that I'll try it and see👍🏾

theyre actually worse when tuned.
Upshift braps are the 1!
I mean.. you can do it and it will do it automatically when WOT and above 4K RPM.
Every change from the OTS map is a setting in ignition cut settings
I’m on stage 2 on my Supra with upgraded trans👍🏼
I used to run stage 3 stock trans until I started slipping on 6th gear.
Dang just did my femto unlock and OTS tune… now a great informative install of xHP? Thanks for the next objective sir lol 🙂
I’ve heard XHP is a game changer yo! Great video brotha 🔥🔥 thumbnail is 💯💯😂
3:07 his scared face is the same as the one makes in the toiled when you know you’re about to rip your guts destroying the throne
I had this done before I had a "real" tune and the shifting is amazing. It really does make it feel "DCT"-like.
It’s faster and much smoother!
I installed it last year it's awesome
I should have done it sooner!
I just picked up a AP1 Honda s2000 and picking up a GR MT Supra next week. If you pick up the s2000 you will enjoy it!
Hope I can get a S2000 this year if it’s in the cards for me
@@vinhgeta hope you can find one, those prices are rising fast.
Ay, i have an ap1 also, picked up my 2021 3.0 couple months ago. IMO this the best combination of cars to have😂
@@jlamrycee90 It really is bro!
Adding this to my list of things to get done asap 🔥
I read that it was best to give the car about 50-60 miles of driving conservatively to give the TCU some time to relearn after the flash
It gets better!
Great content man love my 440i just had recent mhd and xhp stage 2 tune it's incredible
Was not expecting to see Uncle Same while researching ZF8 transmissions LOL

I’m currently running a stage 2 OTS. I’d say roughly 450whp. No where close to you hehe.

also love the steering wheel set up sir- what hub are you using?
more shifteing video please❤
Yes sir! 🫡
A lot of people don’t understand how godly the ZF8 transmission is …. And i prefer it that way 😉
Exactly!! The ZF is amazing
Damn, I have a clean s2k ap1 and i’m trying to sell it one day for an MK5 Supra, Would want a similar build like yours
Great choice :) perfect combo. I will own a s2k one day!
yes
i want gt3 pdk response shifting!!!
lol it won’t even be close to PDK

Not quite as fast as DCT but definitely a must-have upgrade from stock shift points
Question, if I have stage 2 MHD tune already on sup with same WiFi adapter you have in vid, can I use this obd adapter for the xhp app or not.
Yup! The adapter will work with both!
Do you need a rebuilt transmission to choose a higher stage?

It already shifts really fast. Does it actually make a noticable difference?

Would xhp work if I used my obdlink cx or ecutek Bluetooth connector and just bought the license ?
I don’t think I ever noticed an auto up shift. Interesting!! Can I drive your car :)
You sure can sir
got you tabbed up brother 🔥🔥
Is this something I can/should do if the rest of my car is completely stock?
imma need to get this now 😂
So worth it honestly
Damn I don’t even remember how stock shifting felt. Been on stage 2 for maybe a year or so.
Can I use bm3 WiFi adapter to flash xhp
Since this is a TCU tune, this xHP trans tune can be done on 22+ Supras?👀
Yes, mine is a '22 and it was done
Yup doesn’t need to be unlocked for the TCU
Dope! Thank you guys for the reply💪
I have a JB4 running on map2, does the xHP tune work with JB4?
Yup! Completely separate!
put the normal mode shifting to "sportive". It makes it alot smoother
Oooo I’m telling the popo!! You don’t use the OEM seatbelt 😮😮
😳

Hi Tran, does it make that DSG "Fark" when shifting gears?
Ok, def need it on my m340i.
