Connor will be missed by viewers and crew alike. Great personality, great humor. My favorite moment was him helping Brian catch the tuna. Also his reaction playing soccer with the kids.
I've been sailing along with you guys for 12 years now. I can't thank you enough for taking us along to all the crazy, beautiful places! Thank you, Delos!
Hear, hear, I've been with them shorter than you, precisely since Sierra's birth, but I watched most of the old episodes, and boy do I love them, I've also had the pleasure of receiving a very nice e-mail from Brian, so I wish them fair winds and following seas for many years to come ;)
You guys are a true inspiration for me. 5 years ago I stumbled on your channel and instantly thought I want to know what it would be like to sail to remote locations by boat. I quickly learned how to crew on someone's boat and began a new adventure. I bought a one way ticket to Tahiti and sailed around the South Pacific crewing on a 40ft catamaran gaining 2500 nm and even made history by being the first African American to set foot on an island, Palmerston Cook Islands ever. I owe this all to you. Watching you now sail in the same place brings me so much joy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Continue to inspire and maybe we'll meet each other one day.
VIDEO IDEA......Something like a "memory lane".....a short sweet spotlight of each and every person who has put a foot on the Delos in chronological order.....that would be a blast....
Connor was possibly my favourite crew member you’ve ever had on Delos. Seems like a seriously sound bloke. Hopefully he’ll be able to join you again sometime.
I am glad to see that all is well. I can hardly believe that it has been 13 years you have had this channel. I can’t remember when I started watching but it had been a few years ago, Brady was still a wild child and you two weren’t married.
I started in the beginning and have loved every change. True family story, and I love every minute, even though your brother and his wife are gone, but I watch their channel too ❤❤😂😂😂
Hey y’all, if you are passing by Josje’s neck of the woods ask her and Babs to crew for a bit... the friendship could come full circle! What a reunion! And they could meet Sierra!
I am an old man now and have sailed since the 1960's. As a boy we were taught to put nothing overboard that did not sink unless it was vegetable. Things have rightly improved in terms of knowledge about what should go over the side. Sadly, actions have not. The amount of filth I sail through now is heartbreaking. Well done on the turtle rescue, I hope he makes it. I hope your videos at least educate a few to the wonders of the oceans that we need to survive.
It would be great to see more catch and cook video's. Where are the young coconuts with spoon meat? Have you learned how to make your own fresh coconut milk? Those islands look so beautiful. Are they independent or colonized by the Frenchies? Lots of questions I know, but good ones!
Your journey is such an inspiration. Thanks to ALL the Delos crew for making these videos and allowing us land-locked, motion-sick, sea lovers to explore with you. Congratulations on 13 years! I found you only 4 years ago and it was amazing to watch your journey from the beginning. Keep it up and I'm sure Connor will be back next time Delos needs some major TLC.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Great job Brian and crew removing the entanglement from the turtle as best you could in the circumstances. A tip I’ve learnt when dealing with an entangled turtle, especially if you’re in the water with them such as you were is to place one hand at the nape of the turtles neck gripping the edge of shell and use the other to grip the other end of its shell near the tail. This will allow you some degree of purchase to control the direction in which the turtle is trying to swim. Gently applying more pressure downward with the hand nearest to the tail whilst lifting up with the hand nearest the head should allow you to direct it towards the surface of the water allowing it and you to breathe whilst a second set of hands can help removing the entanglement. A turtles breathe hold ability far outlasts any human but if it’s severely fatigued, it becomes equally important to stay on the surface for everyone. Be conscious too that some governing bodies have made it unlawful to “interfere” with any marine life in any way, as stupid as that sounds when you’re trying to do the right thing by a living creature. Keep up the great videos and living the life 👏🏻🤗😎
Connor was such a good sport, hopefully we'll see him again. Saying goodbye is the end and a start at the same time. Awesome video Delos crew. Until next time and good luck. 🤟👍
A fantastic place you have sailed to. Now with 13 years of sailing and experience in beautiful places, you know when you've reached a top 10 place. You also know that when you sail from there, it will not be a top 10 place. Aren't you tempted to stay then? At least longer than usual. Or do you feel compelled to sail further to get content for your videos? Hannah was missing in this video, because she's still part of the crew right? It felt like she wasn't with you? But she was, right? Sad that Connors left the boat, a super guy. Looking forward to the next video. 👍😎⛵️⛵️🍷🍾❤️💥
Btw, you can hold the 🐢 steady by grabbing the top of the shell behind the head (it will feel like your fingers are digging into the neck skin) and at the tail firmly. A second person could then work on removing material. If they are small enough you can even remove them from the water altogether using that method. It also prevents them from slapping the crap out of you or catching you with their nails.
13 years, unreal. When i first started following these two knuckleheads I thought well this won't last long. Was I ever wrong? And so glad I was. It's been a blast watching you two grow up, go each others way and look at you both now. Amazing. Congrats guys. And never forget if it wasn't for Kazza, Blue, Nuggets and Sharky you two would only be a couple of Salty Bum's, LOL Take care.
Cap still thinks he's only responsible for the fam, the crew, and the boat. Really good leaders make impressive things they never even know about because of all the things they do to inspire those they interact with; handing out deserved praise, disciplining in private, and always looking forward. I hope you get it all the time...people thanking you for the changes you have made in their lives. You should turn around more often, Cap, and look at what you've made...you deserve that.
Seeing Delos roll at anchor by swell from beside I thought you might be interested in a very easy way to turn every boat at anchor or buoy into the wave, so the rolling stops immediately and without any force. If you already know it, take it as a good advice to all of your followers: Tie a line to your anchor chain right in front of your bow. Bring it along the outside of your boat very loosely to a cleat at the stern of your boat. Then let more anchor chain go down. Your boat will turn by it self and you can stop it in any position you want. The boat lies in a very stabil triangle from chain and line. I often turned my boat that way to get fresh wind from behind to cool my boat and have a much cooler cockpit or to turne the cockpit into the shadow. To turn it back, just haul in chain by anchorspill.
What spectacular islands. Bye, Connor. Great guy. Positive energy. Congratulations on 13 yrs. I can't believe I have been watching almost that entire time. Pre-Kasia in fact. See you next week.
Five years... Have I followed you. My first episode was when you guys almost got robbed on your dinghy. Since then I've been following you guys mentally, in a good way :) I've re-watched your videos twice and want to tell you that you are absolutely incredible people! And by that I mean all the people who also sailed with you! You have something that no other sailing channel has - your production and authenticity is just out of this world! Love you and what you do so much! (My Swedish spelling included ;))
I was hoping that you'd film Sierra's reaction to Brian's bare face. A friend shaved his off and his young son nearly had trauma. Cried for awhile. Sierra handled it great!
It's really something following your travels, but what i find to be the most amazing is Sierra's childhood. Maybe others have grown up on the open sea but the numbers must be very low. She starts her morning going for a mile swim with her dad. Wish i could live long enough to see her own sailing vlog as an adult. Unique.
Stuck in a windpark substation in the middle of North Sea, with some time without work, I was watching this fabulous episode in the right setting. The problem is that goodbyes always make me cry. Oops, let me look away before someone notices. It is surely a sad moment to see the "Sea Dog" fly away. I envy his good mood and multiple abilities. What a man! Delos seems to be able to summon the best in each of her crew member. Magic boat!
Hey some of us are sailors also and love the boat you're on. Maybe make us a video on some of the rig set up that you have and use. When you use what and how you use it.
Hi Delos! We have loved watching you and your adventures! We also fall in love with the quality of your production. Would you share with us what camera you've been using and what type of drone? Thank you so much!
Getting the husk off coconuts. Smash the pointy tip of the cocunut on a rock until the husk starts splitting in multiple places. That loosens the husk from the shell. Even a little boy less than 9 years old can tear that husk off the shell. Get rid of the spike. I learned this as a son of a missionary at the ELWA Mission Station in 1960's Liberia Africa from my Liberian playmates.
You are sooo lucky. I wish I could have one 100th the bliss you have experienced over the years. I'm older now. So, that ship has sailed. :) Thank you for showing me the world. I love you.
If SV Delos could find a knife maker that makes a C shaped line cutter that is sharp only on the inside and sharper as slides along. A bit of a tongue in front to get under lines with nothing sharp at the front. This would be safer and quicker. A great Merch addition. Yachts worldwide could keep them board. Beaches could have them handy. Could be an affiliate marketing arrangement.
Thank you for helping the turtle. In the future should this happen again, bring the turtle onboard to remove the entanglements. Humans are definitely the most dangerous predators on planet earth.
Congratulation for 13 years. I probably subscribe shortly after you upload your first video. Still one of best if not the best sailing channel. Thank you.
Sierra saying woohoo at the end of the video cracks me up every time. She is growing up so fast.
@trevorsmith7753 Are you dissing Sierra? That's completely inappropriate.
Word for word I said that. The Nuggs is golden.
@trevorsmith7753 What's that...?
Don't forget YT is full of subliminal stimuli... including harmful ones?
Every time.
@trevorsmith7753 yo, that "wahoo!" Was recorded when she was like 2. Get a life.
Connor will be missed by viewers and crew alike. Great personality, great humor. My favorite moment was him helping Brian catch the tuna. Also his reaction playing soccer with the kids.
Amazing 🐢 , Brian that deserves a few beers. Take care be safe. 💚 first time I’ve heard Kazaa swear 😂 13 years wow I’ve been following for 5/6 years.
I've been sailing along with you guys for 12 years now. I can't thank you enough for taking us along to all the crazy, beautiful places! Thank you, Delos!
Place stop using usung God's name in vain.. It's oh my God, and God, have you researched what using God's name in vain is all about
Hear, hear, I've been with them shorter than you, precisely since Sierra's birth, but I watched most of the old episodes, and boy do I love them, I've also had the pleasure of receiving a very nice e-mail from Brian, so I wish them fair winds and following seas for many years to come ;)
@@patriciamorris670oh no, someone used your imaginary sky daddy's name. Quit being delusional.
Connor was such a gentleman, and his sincere appreciation for so many moments was refreshing.
"Was" ?
I'm sure he still is 😁

Big Congratulations to you brother 👊🎯 now you are living the magical life !
that is badass dude
I'm a woman, a black woman
VIDEO IDEA......Something like a "memory lane".....a short sweet spotlight of each and every person who has put a foot on the Delos in chronological order.....that would be a blast....
congrats on 13 years. I started watching in my 40s and now i'm 60 still watching.
Connor is such a cool dude, a real happy guy
Thanks guys, for helping the poor turtle at least a big burden us dislodged...
Connor was possibly my favourite crew member you’ve ever had on Delos. Seems like a seriously sound bloke. Hopefully he’ll be able to join you again sometime.
Great thumbnail, Brian and Kazza! Brian is in Michelangelo-esque pose evocative of God reaching out to Adam's hand.
I am glad to see that all is well. I can hardly believe that it has been 13 years you have had this channel. I can’t remember when I started watching but it had been a few years ago, Brady was still a wild child and you two weren’t married.

that banana smoothie move was hilarious, lol. You got jacked Brian!
Hey y’all, if you are passing by Josje’s neck of the woods ask her and Babs to crew for a bit... the friendship could come full circle! What a reunion! And they could meet Sierra!
Baby face @2:40, 10min later it's all back. What an amazing Jurassic Island looking place Hiva Oa is, defiantly a bucket list.

Connor you’re a legend my man!!! Hurry up and start your own UA-cam channel ! 👍
Haven't watched for 13 years, but did go back to the beginning and saw all the videos up to today👍

Just saw this for the first time, don't know how i missed it, it is a stunning Delos delight, great arcing stories!

That was Awesome. Praise you and your Lady.
You guys are UA-cam Movie Stars. Happy 13 years on UA-cam. I watched about 12 years worth of your videos last year and have been following ever since.

Bummer about the turtle😢 but kudos for trying to save it❤
Coner is the perfect crewman... up for anything and has a grin always...He could bounce from boat to boat never staying on land...😎
Don't ever get rid on the Woo Hoo! That's such a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it and your lives with us. See you later Connor.
Sea dog… you’re a good dude 👍🏻
Big love Delos Crew!
I was hoping that you'd film Sierra's reaction to Brian's bare face. A friend shaved his off and his young son nearly had trauma. Cried for awhile. Sierra handled it great!
This is what I look forward to Friday for

Wow, that chocolate coconut shake looks so good❤🎉
"Sending love and strength to the Delos crew during this emotional time. Your resilience and storytelling are truly inspiring! 🥺⛵"
Great jog with the turtle!

I travelled to French Polynesia before... it was years ago, but to this day, I am still sad I had to leave. What a beautiful place!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ From Germany. Thanks for living the Dream for us all…
Exceptional editing. Great soundtracks too.

What a beautiful anchorage!!!

I would have sanded and painted bottom paint to be able to do that crossing too. Lucky guy and glad it all went so well. That tattoo is super cool.
Great AG1 ad ...I think you found your calling. You seriously made me want some of that apple flavor.
Brian, You should rock that stache bro. You look like Keidis from the Chili Peppers! Thanks for another inspiring episode ❤
We love our sailing bag thank you it’s awesome
Great episode Delos. I hope SeaDog comes back soon.
Thank you for taking me along all these years. You are an inspiration to many.
