I am writing this message using Google Translate, because I am not a good owner of English. But I still dare to express my opinion on track 9 A.M. If anything, I'm from Russia. This track has stuck with me since childhood, when in the year 2010 I found a video on UA-cam about this game. There she was in the TOP of creepy Easter eggs for one of the characters (fans will understand), then the game interested me and I decided to look at other videos. Some of them played this track. Then I found it separately, I do not remember exactly where. And I can say that this track and the music in particular has become a part of my childhood, along with the music from Silent Hill 2 and Final Fantasy VIII. Only a few years later, when I had already forgotten about this track, but was able to find it again, such a wave of nostalgia, a wonderful warm childhood and a certain carefreeness washed over me. When everything was great, and dreams are much more real. Now this track is on my alarm clock, and once I was riding a bike in the rain, and this track was playing in my headphones. Sometimes I was driving home after a walk in the evening and I also set this sound. It can be said that while I was driving, I felt like I was in a dream, as if I had become part of Madotsuki's fantasy. Thanks to whoever wrote this track and thanks in general to Yume Nikki for being there. Without her, my imagination would not work the way I would like. Sorry if there are mistakes
This song feels like a rebirth, the start of a sunny day with blue skies and serene silence. A tranquility with celebrated clearness of mind and resolved to look forward to a new you. As you get up from the bed to look at the time and it just feels right: 9 AM in the morning.
1:23 subtly does the Pirori Village leitmotif, which was referenced note by note in the School theme for YNDD. I think we've cracked the code. This is why the School theme feels so familiar. It uses the Pirori motif but it's so subtle, it's hard to notice. Which actually makes it subliminal, and more effective because you don't know why it happens.
I actually never noticed that in this. Wow. What I did notice, however, were the similarities between the School theme and the Barracks Settlement theme. I think that's what makes it so familiar and nostalgic, but at the same time unique.
This song is so calming at first, like you're waking up to a bright, sunny morning... the sun's rays softly beam from your window. You climb out of bed, thinking a whole new and inspiring way, get ready to go out and when you step out, taking in that fresh breath of air, and go forward to take on life.
This song does stuff to me man. Yume Nikki was one of the first let's plays I watched all the way through. I found it to be a fascinating story, and when it finally came to an end, I wasn't prepared for how depressing the ending was. I love this song, but every time I listen to it, it makes me think about the ending, and I get a little sad again.
Interpreting the ending from a positive perspective seems kind of forced in my eyes. It's one of the few things in the game that is relatively explicit in what's happening. To me, it just feels like trying to avoid confronting the one fact we know for certain about the game's story because it's upsetting. That's just me though.
@@UlalaFL0W Friendly reminder As of it's 20th anniversary (June 26th 2004) it is now old enough to go to a casino and probably as old as most yume nikki fans
1:38 the sound of the people going to work early in the morning as fast as possible to just contribute in society and hold up their lifes, something common and simple as that, thing I still cannot experience but hear from my four wall space, yes, I can totally recognize what does that part of the song convey for me.
I'm not a real fan of rock music, but this... this is beautiful. Just the guitar, and the drums, the build-up is amazing. I love this very much, gives me nostalgia from just playing Yume Nikki, going through Snow World. Yume Nikki is one of those games that is timeless. Kikiyama is a genius.
Man, I'm getting huge Silent Hill vibes from this. The slow, aucustic guitar blending discordant tones with that serene, nostalgic desire for better times. And when the distortion kicks in... unf, my jam right here
I sometimes have this habbit of listening to a song that I like over and over until I hate it, and then start listening to it again later, and then listen to it over and over until I hate it.... I don't know why.
This is so beautiful. The track together with the title makes me think of childhood when I slept in on the weekends and summer. It brings me back to that almost-but-not-quite-fully-conscious state of mind when I was still on the cusp of dreaming but anticipating the events of the day. Those times are gone now.
This song reminds me of Silent Hill / Akira Yamaoka music. In fact when I first heard it on my friends iPod I thought it was from Silent Hill. This song is awesome..
Hey grandpa, its december finally...the final steps uh? im glad you are in heaven now, i know that for you this year maybe will be soo boring for you, so at least, me and our family survived all this shit!, its incredible he..and when its new year, im gonna hear this thinking in our favorite moments togheter...

I could have sworn their used to be comments on here, unless it was from another user, that had things like "I don't want to wake up, I want to dream some more." but it seemed weird, like it was supposed to sound like Madotuski was saying it I think, and I think they were voted up a lot, can't remember... I kind of miss seeing them though... :( I guess I just wish she was a real person, or this was made into an anime/manga I can actually enjoy, since the actual manga and stuff seems weird to me, can't explain it... I want to know what Mado goes through...
I think the creators of Yume Nikki did an awesome job. They really emulated how some dreams just worked... How your brain likes to make looping tunes sometimes. Once I had a dream that was supposed to resemble the first map of The Parish in L4D2. I was hearing an extremely good sounding tune to me. It looped. Then I woke up and tried to not forget the tune. I failed horribly. :\ The people who made the game must have had a dream pad or were just good at emulating dreams...
Asdf you have L4D dreams too :D I always have some kind of piano music going on in my dreams, and once I wake up I write down the notes in a book that I also use for writing down dreams. I always forget how the song went regardless of how much I remember the notes.

I am so amazed by how well they were able to take a short couple second loop of ambient music and make it into a rock song this complex and emotional.
24Effects as a whole strangely captures the feeling of the game itself. I'll always love it for that reason
"I don't want to wake up yet; there's too much for me to dream."
