Just want to say thanks. I found this video extremely helpful. I shoot sports photography but have never ventured into video. I shoot Nikon but feel many of these principles will be translatable to a z8. I'm excited to dive into video and appreciate your help.
from lots of times of editing i suffer and i make operation to my shoulder, i avoid a lot of editing so slog3 not for me, whats your advice to use f i dont want to use slog3?
When you were talking about setting your shutter speed, what if you were shooting a football game on a bright sunny day? For photos I’m shooting around 1/2000 to freeze the action. For shooting video, I feel like 1/50 or 1/120 would create an overexposed image especially when using a picture profile unless I added ND filters to the lens to be able to use lower shutter speeds. Thoughts?
Hey, you're saying you're doing a sport videography. Therefor I would assume you do plenty of followcams where the wind noice is just crippleling.. or you're being exposed to a windy situations with long lense shots. What would be your opinion on best on camera shotgun microprophone and especially the windshield options. I'm a skier and I also do some filming - you can imagine doing on skis followcams on jumps/rails or backcountry while going 30-80kph. And this area is really poorly covered online. So I was wondering if you have any experiences on this topic. Cheers!
I edit everything I shoot on my iPad Pro. I keep my 4K footage on my SSD that is connected to the iPad Pro and I use Lumafusion to edit my work. That is the only way I can edit 4K footage.
Thank you for sharing your settings! Love your videos! Do you have a video or tips how to shoot videos in low light indoor sports?

S-Cinetone is a good alternative where the image is pretty ready out of camera but has good dynamic range!
i film athletics so i also believe i will be ok with S-Cinetone. Thank you!@@JuanMoralesCreative
This was such a helpful video! Just got an a7siii last week so I needed this video!
creating modes is a great tip
Great easy way to access your favourite settings!
That touch tracking was what I needed to turn on with my A7IV! Thank you!

If my tamron 28-200 lens doesn’t have stabilization, would you recommend I use active rather than standard stabilization on my A7S3?
Where did you get the calender from? 👀
You can’t do XAVC SI 4K in 120FPS can you ?
Welp my mac book 13 pro can’t run any 4K footage in final cut so there’s a whole shoot wasted
So disappointed
