@@sreilly66 oh! I am glad to hear you add your recommendation for Winipek. I’m in 16 weeks position for the audiobook and 8 weeks wait for the ebook in Libby.
@@myreadinglife8816 Thanks Heidi. I have since purchased both volumes of Miss Chief’s memoirs; beautiful art by Kent Monkman, playful tone, and important history, all together.
@@lindysmagpiereads I'm not sure yet. It depends on what my library gets in. And I probably won't get to anything immediately as I am in full blown spooky reading zone haha
I loved this discussion. I just asked on Shawn’s channel, why books written in French by Canadanians are nominated on the Translated list and not the general Literature list?
@@59cubanita Good question! Here’s the answer: There are also French language finalists in all 7 categories of the awards, including the category of translation into French. Shawn and I only discussed the books in the English language categories.
Much better! It made me dizzy to listen/watch before!🥰🥰🥰📚
@@pegthebookprizeaddict579 I don’t know what happened to the first version. It’s never happened to me before.
Hi Lindy and Shawn, good to see you both together again. Aloha.
@@MarilynMayaMendoza Hello my friend! 🥰
I’m happy to see titles I’ve enjoyed on the lists. I loved Wînipêk! I have a few more on my TBR now. Thanks for the reviews. 💜

Love to see a Shawn/Lindy collaboration! The artwork in that first book was incredible, as is the title!

This was delightful. So nice to hear about some Canadian books.
@@FullyBookedMelissa Hi Melissa! Thanks for watching. Are you planning to read any of the GG finalists?
