It definitely doesn’t! I was born in 1991 and although I love all music, there’s no music better than blues. Purely down trotted help me wonderful talent
I met Johnny in Albany, New York in 2004. He was a VERY nice person. He was recovering from a hip operation and he had to sit to perform, but he played right through the pain. RIP JOHNNY!!
My poor Mama had 8 Daughters/not 1 Son and she did a lot of talking to us girls.😂Johnny kept her busy👍🏻for sure. 🌹Thanks for sharing this beauty. 🇨🇦✌🏻🎶🎸❤️✨🌎💫
One of the worlds greatest blues rock guitarists in his absolute prime and it looks like most of the people in the audience thought it was about as stimulating as trying to watching grass grow. Blues seems so primal but a lot of people just don't get it. You would think that after a decade of blues based pop songs teens and twenty somethings would have acquired a more of a taste for the raw real deal.
European audiences at that time period were more formal in their responses to rock groups, especially when they knew the performances were being televised. If you look at the responses in the audience (I think CPH stands for Copenhagen, Denmark) a lot of them are getting into the music, they're just not jumping or screaming their heads off or clapping or whatever like could have happened at a regular show, or over here in the US. They were more taking it in, as if it were a jazz performance. Studio decorum, I guess.
How come this people look so bored? Nobody dance, they just sit! I'm glad i've seen him in 1974 and 2007 in a crowd with people who enjoyed his great style and energy!
Probably not normal paying audience, but rather family and friends of the broadcasters employees. The recording is done in Danmarks Radio (or at least by them....the danish gov broadcaster).
@@buttkrusher But the audience, I guess was family and friends of broadcasters employees...that will explain the quiet audience :) Just got an invite for free...
I agree with Tom Ponte: the audience seems sedated. Too hip to actually appreciate the glory right in front of them . Reminds me of a gig Led Zeppelin did in I think Belgium. The band was killing it, and the seated audience appeared to all had lobotomies
most people dont like monkeys or jackasses at gigs, im sure in other parts of the world outside of the US its not uncommon for audiences to not act like lunatics it could come down to a respect thing I remember listening to the drummer from dream theater say that whenever the band would play japan he would have to check and see if they were there before showtime because the audience was dead quiet before the band took the stage
The best blues guitarist of all time so far. RIP Johnny!
No distortion pedals, just an epi into a fender amp….that’s all that legend ever needed! RIP Johnny!
until he started using a phase shifter in the mid 70s and a chorus pedal in the 80s
Legend!!
This sh!t never gets old. And it never will ☮️
I just Thank God, this incredible performance was recorded that night! It don't get any better than this, folks.

Tight as a drum...Johnny ...was Johnny...period.

Johnny's killin' it and the audience looks bored, what is going on? Wake Up!
Obviously those cats in the crowd had no idea who was on the stage.
You bet they did. Copenhagen in ‘71 had it’s share of big acts.
Just awesome!..

The biggest problem I have in guitar playing proficiency is that my skill level is opposite that of Johnny. 🙁
