I gave up on the MHjr fever dream when the Bears brought in Keenan Allen AND traded Justin Fields. That 9 pick had to either be a top end Ledt Tackle or and Edge. Otherwise, the Bears should trade down for picks. Maybe the Bears fuck around well enough and they land Jackson Powers-Johmson and a 2nd rounder for that WR. Thats just me tho.

Odunze isn’t a slouch, and very well may not have to do anything but have him land in our lap.
It should be a receiver at 9. No need to go up and lose future picks. Id be happy with any of the big 3 WR coming out. Dont have to be MHJ. So honestly id rater get Odunze at 9 than go up and get MHJ

There is no garantee that either Odunze or Nabors will be available at nine. I suspect both will be drafted before the Bears pick at number nine.

MHJ or Malik is a must. Imagine defending 3 awesome wr’s, te and top RB……..you cannot possibly cover them all. They could score 30+ points per game.

Alot of early round picks never pan out, hell yes I'd trade next years 2nd to move up and get MHJ.. he's not just the best receiver prospect, he's a generational talent that shows up once every 10 or 20 years.. you have to do everything you can to get this guy, especially with Keenan Allen on the older side and no guarantee yet beyond this season. If Allen was locked in for say 3 years, I'd much rather take a top LT or edge available at 9, and if the guys you love are not on the board at 9, trade down and get more picks.
A mock, would be thrilled to see it play out like that.

I'd go C on this mock. I think MHJ is good but not that far ahead of Odunze imo. We should wait at 9 and see who's there (Alt, Odunze, or Turner) and then pounce. Heck, another team may get hungry on draft day and offer the Bears a haul for our #9 pick.
I just did a mock draft where I traded down 3 times from 1st pick to 4th pick and still got Drake Maye. Then I traded up my bunch of 2nd round picks for the 5th pick to get MHJ, then Dallas Turner at 9th pick and Jared Verse at 27th pick plus a 2025 NE 1st and a 2025 WAS 1st. It's probably the wildest mock draft that I did so far. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are trading down at 9 to recoup a 2nd rd pick.Then we go pass rusher and reciever.
In theory a good move....but they have to really drop down to the low 20's to do that....and I am not sure they want to do that. They might move down to 12 and get the Broncos third round pick....but they won't go much lower than that.

You've got to control the line of scrimmage to make your QB good .
I agree with this to an extent... QB's need good offensive line play to be successful, but there's other factors that also decide if a QB is going to be good or not. BEAR DOWN!

Since the Bears also need an elite left tackle and an edge rusher, I think the smarter move is to sit at 9 and see who's still on the board. There's almost always a talent that falls into your lap, who everyone expected to go higher. Last year it was Jalen Carter, even though the Bears decided against the risk. This year it could be Alt or Odunze or maybe even Bowers (if Poles thinks Bowers is the next Kelce). Besides, Poles can always use a second rounder in 2025 to move up in 2025, if there's 1 guy he really wants.
MHJ hasn't shown a lot of seperation on catches. I feel he is mainly considered better because of his lineage. To me Odunze is just as good, shows he can get more seperation, while still being as good at contested catches, and is more of a playmaker. I'd wait at 9 and get him and if he's not there then there are more options.
And, as far as the trade down, I'm okay with it, but, the backend of this years draft is weak, I'd maybe get an additional pick from next year's draft.
Hall just needs to be more consistent effort. I like Kamara too, he has potential to be a descent pass rusher.
That's the price you pay for keeping the number pick you are going to fill some of the holes with Lucas Patrick and Dominique Robinson quality reaches.
I dont think arizona trades down unless they're getting a big haul. Arizona already has a ton of picks. At some point its time to draft quality when you have enough quantity.

I have to imagine the Chargers want to retain that for a top WR and replace Keenan, but if the Bears can get MHJ that would be epic. He can learn alongside a veteran like Keenan Allen for a year and then takeover that role and free up some major cap space for 2025.

This is a pipe dream Harrision. No way Harbrough passes on MHJ if hes on the board when theyre up. Especially since they are down 2 receivers.... i think we'd have to give up more as well. There would be a bidding war if MHJ is on the block....
C, as enticing as MHJ is I think we need a blue chip player or at least red edge to develop and be a big help this year and potentially develop to a big time year end year out edge as there aren’t any more big timers out there in FA

The Bears have enough receivers. If passing game is still not to snuff, then lack of receivers is not the issue and adding more will not help. MHJ would be a luxury pick if we have no other needs, but we have plenty of other needs like IOL and DE.

I really think they draft o-line or edge rusher. We have D.J Moore,Keenan Allen,Cole Kmet. Our receiving core is pretty good with how deep this draft is I’m guessing they go T,G,Edge because one of those will slip down to 9 if we stay there.

I would say no. There are plenty of top tier receivers that you can get later in the draft. I would trade back and get Jared Verse and another top tier receiver.

I don't think that this trade will happen. I think it would take more than next years #2 to jump 4 spots. I'm super interested to see how many teams try to trade into the top 10 to grab a QB. With next years' QB draft being pretty weak (and Deion saying his kid will decide where he lands), there may be a surge of teams trying to grab McCarthy, Penix, Nix. Theoretically, the Bears could trade down and get a very nice return. or, if 5 QBs get taken between 1 and 9, there is a good chance one of the Big 3 receivers falls to them.

I prefer Rome of the top 3 WRs available, but as long as the Bears get one of the top 3, I would be happy. At the same time, if we could get one of the 3....I don't think any of them are worth giving up that additional 2nd round pick. If none of the top 3 WRs are available @#9....just trade down and get more picks....not up...can get Worthy, Rice, or another receiver....many decent ones in this draft.
