Him and Puka have been training together so far. Plus he finally gets to train instead of rehabbing. I think he bounces back this season
I agree, high quality level 1 WR. And Puka is also good, so I think they will make a great dual threat.

The Stafford TD to Kupp is interesting to analyze. In a split second, he does many high-level things pre-snap(reading the defenders leverage, throwing with touch with pressure in his face, recalling film study that the Ravens wouldn't sag off Puka to double Kupp). But Kupp wins so easily that it's hard to give Stafford too much credit (since Kupp is open and is the first read)
Reminds me of Dak this season. He put up great stats and was very highly graded by PFF (including having the highest grade game ever vs the Commanders). But many of his throws were in great conditions (clean pocket, having an obvious read, being able to throw deep passes with confidence because the defenders sucked).
Ultimately, I think good receivers and good schemes help QBs not by coming up with tremendous catches or scheming wide open receivers. They help QBs by making their pre-snap and post-snap reads simpler and allowing them to throw with confidence

Kupp is a good receiver, but it was clearly Stafford that put him over the top.
No its the McVay scheme that gets him good matchups. Same reason why Tyreek went from 1300 yards per season in KC to 1800 yards in Miami despite downgrading at QB. McDaniel believes in giving the easiest routes and free releases to his best WRs while Reid often used him as a decoy or deep threat to open things underneath
@@hugeboi3669 No. It’s Stafford. Goff was in the same system and did pretty good. But Kupp wasn’t an All Star until Stafford came to LA.
