The stylist looks fine. People are coming for her about her locs. Locs are to be free. As a stylist having locs, people may think the same about me, but I believe locs are a free form of beauty.
Her locs are not natural she literally braids them in dyes them and changes them often… not saying that’s a problem cus she is really good at what she does… I guess most people think cus they’re fake she doesn’t need to be doing locs… i dont have locs yet I still do and install them
I agree, her hair looks very healthy, I like when I see at least an inch or two new growth, it better and tells me the person isn’t over manipulating their locs… I have 3b&c hair, an initially it’s a real challenge trying to keep the locs from unravelling… you try not to touch them so much, but the hair grows so fast you wind up looking crazy if you don’t “guide the strands😂it gets easier as they mature…
Why don't people understand its good for your locs not always get a retwist it helps it grow and also less tension and less breakage which is known as free growthing
@@Rocanala I am currently locd, will be one month in tomorrow.I don't plan on ever retwisting and that's my choice. What I have come to understand is,people will do whatever they want to do and face the consequences too...😊 Love&Light💖

I am a loctician and I must say this method is not for everyone, especially the ones with fine hair. I have had a lot of people come to me needing repairs because of this method being done by other locticians, on their hair..but if it works for you , that’s fine..but it’s a method I don’t encourage.
Y’all worried about her healthy and bountiful locks, whole time she’s repairing ppls locks making them feel whole again! The irony…y’all clicked for a reason…
I’m confused. The negrowth should be in the lox if it was pulled in initially unless it’s broken off. I feel like that needs to be acknowledged and dealt with. My hair Jodie’s the same thing. Maybe crochet twists is not the way.
I’ve been doing my own dreads for 12 years.. I’ve always inner locked my new growth with my hands and then retwisted with oil/grease..but now I’m ready to cut them or get wicks
I’m trying to understand why the hair is growing all around the lock as if it’s broken hair instead of new growth. When you have braids the new growth is just an extension of the hair that’s in the braid whether it be cornrows or individual plats or braids.
I just wrote the same comment... They are breaking people hair off thinking they know new ways to loc hair....I have locs and a lady broke my hair bad on a few locs and they are the same way that why I asked in my comment whats going on.
I'm not sure what's going on with the person on the video....but your hair can grow outside your locs. It actually happens very often and usually around the perimeter of your hair.
It happens with those who have thicker locs/thicker parts. If you have very traditional size locs it’s not likely that the new growth will stray from the loc
@@MoeS777The perimeter of your hair is where you are plucking hair from. It’s just growing back. Like if you pluck your eyebrows only slowly pulling until it comes out.
That breakage comes from using combs to retwist and make the parts straight. Stylist literally break and damage the hair doing that. You get the same results without a comb.
I got crochet locs, and they are about 4 to 6 inches long. I'm trying to figure out what retwist method to use. I got a tool for retwisting at the root. Lol, not sure exactly the terms to use, but you put the tip of your loc in it, then put it under your new growth until it's tight. But idk
The reason why she has all that breakage at the root is from ripping through to part the hair when retwisting. I just let me parts do what they do no need for perfect parts. What she has is the end result of that.
@jasminecastellucci5642 I guess u meant to comment towards the creator of this video, but the more you retwist ur hair, the more weak it'll become, especially with smaller locs and locs that are bleached. She's a nappy girl with a beautiful face. I'm sure if she wanted to stunt she can really just slap on some edge control and go bout her day. Personally, I go MONTHS without retwist

I don’t trip on her loc’s not being real, what I want to know is she Yahudi?? Please answer that!! She sounds just like k. kardashian. 😮😟☹️😲😏😨🫣🤔
What I've gathered there are so many installed forms/type of locs to choose.. "Free form" is just one type on the list.
Well said.

Yes girly, my hair get twisted, max 6 times within the 365 days of a year.
The people that want perfectly neat locs are those that need not have locs at all.

Everyone doesn’t like fresh retwisted locs myself personally I like frizz… the loctician hair looks fine to me 😊
She looks like she needs hers done, too. Stylists are always the last to take care of themselves.
She always look like that too👀
The more tension and pulling on the hair the more breakage you will see. You have to leave your hair alone and it will grow thick and healthy
Exactly 💯
Lmbo I thought the same thing

Just this clip right here was so helpful for me 💚 thank you!!!! 😘
I just got a retwist on my super long locs at Napstar on West 23 in NYC. A great experience and service ❤

The only thing I see wrong is her not even spraying a little water before interlocking it…. MANIPULATING DRY LOCS CAUSES BREAKAGE
I’d rather do locksmithing and palm rolling instead of using tools and I’d prefer the hair to be damp because dry hair breaks very easily.
Why is that? Locksmithjng and palmrolling isn’t a permanent fix tho
@@Locsandallthings Are you talking about as far as breakage?
@@sharonglover9432dry hair doesn’t necessarily means breakage. It’s still moisturized. And unfortunately crocheting cannot be done on damp hair.
False
I love the locksmithing method. I have no problems.

I would also!
This is the best video I seen so far as far as crocheting... Thank you so try this tonight
Thank you for this, as i need to redo the roots of my son's locks. This looks much easier from the comb twist method I've seen
Oh wow thanks for the tip. I'm going to try this method. Do you add oil after or no? Thanks for sharing sis

Great way to pull and loc at the root. Bravo!

Excellent
BUT IT'S TIGHT AND IT STAYS TIGHT AND AS IT GROWS OUT IT BECOMES A WEAK POINT FOR YOU LOCK TO BREAK OFF !

You absolutely correct and she should have put Water and Shea butter mango butter On her hair it is very dry

Right, It’s the pulling of the hair with this crochet method. The palm roll, in my opinion works best.

I literally just commented this. Thats why I dontlet anyone retwist my hair and just do it myself.

Do you have a video on the instant locking technique with the crochet needle, but slowed down
I need repairs bad!! I wish you were near me 😫😊
Hello. I use a 0.75 hook. May I ask what sizes you work with
Thank you for sharing ❤
This crochet retwist damages your hair, Don't do it. It's dry, it thins out your hair causing damage.
Exactly!!!!! It’s a no for me.
Right that needs to come out and be conditioned and oiled/moisterized
Real locs aren't known as a protective style... Twisting your hair like this alone is what is incredibly damaging.
So whats the best retwist method??
