Arne, I have been watching your podcasts with Carlos since you started podcasting and I have to say I am very impressed with how much your English has improved!! You both do such a good job!
I totally agree with you. Gone are the days when Arne would often look to Carlos for the English translation. His confidence has really grown in speaking in English. They have both devoted so much of their time to this channel over the past year and I think this has helped Arne. They are both wonderful guys. I feel we have got to know them well and with Arne’s culinary skills being put to the test and Carlos’s DIY using saws and a drill, it’s been highly amusing. Just what we’ve needed!
There were so very many beautiful and interesting projects! Loved them all! Christmas stars, yes! Yes elephants! There are other animals like giraffes for another time. Twisted fringe, georgeous! Thanks!
I absolutely agree that the red backing is genius and making a pillow out of it! These are the flowers I told you that my grandmother and my aunt made petty point pieces for stools at least 70 years ago. Now that they're gone one of my sisters and I each have those stools that are great uncle made and put those pieces on! Absolutely beautiful!
I really like Arne's shirt today! It made me think that it would be fun if you guys were to each show us your favourite 5 shirts. You've got that lovely series on your Norwegian sweater collection - could be the same type of thing - where you got the shirt, why you love it etc. Just a thought :-) PS the houndstooth cushion is fabulous; love the red backing. Also really like that elephant sweater - the motif is unexpected and quirky, but at the same time looks like it belongs there. That's design genius in action.

The houndstooth pillow with roses turned out beautifully and the red backing is a good call. The red backing is a classic contrast to houndstooth and the roses give me the impression of a bouquet of roses set on a houndstooth coat with red lining. Neat. I like the fringe to the crochet lace; it’s super cute. The impression of a rotational direction the granny squares give is neat. I’m not keen on the crochet star but with silver yarn and Arne’s talent, he could pull it off. The elephants are darling.

When I look at ways Arne has worn his hair over the years, this style is the best ....looks terrific. Both of you have great heads of hair. Elephants on a pillow! Yes! The stars flakes could be starched. I helped my grandma pin out wet starched snowflakes. Dozens of them, they dried quickly on a warm summer day.
