Hi Loves! I am SO glad to be done editing this NASTY 79 Trans Am Cleanout video! It seems like the more videos I post, the longer the editing process is 😊. Anyway, this is hubby’s restoration toy and we’re doing a before and after series on it. If you didn’t see the shorts video I posted before this one, you HAVE to watch it because this video is going to give away the secret “surprise” we found inside. Actually, there were a few ☹. This video is pretty detailed and there were quite a few items he used to clean it out and do a bit of touching up the interior, door panels, under the hood, trunk, etc… I listed everything he used below. Most of the items you can get right off Amazon and they’re pretty cheap. So, now that he has taken on this little “Smokey and the Bandit” 1979 Trans Am restoration project, I am going to be setting up the Go-Pro for him so you guys can catch it all. I hope you enjoy! Well.....the guy in the very beginning is full of it. Smokey and the bandit was filmed in 76 so how could they be using 79 trans am's? Credibility out the window 10 seconds into the video lol.

Updates on the TA?
this is a 400 cubic inch Pontiac engine 6.6 liter
Yup 403 had a filler tube sticking out the front of the eng pass side near intake.
That is a L37 301 Pontiac W code in the Vin. 3 things gove it away one no oil filler tube up front and 2. The intake is a single plane. 3. It is an Auto trans cars the 400's were all L78/W72 cars with 4spds , WS6 and 4 wheel disc brakes.
@@tomcherry7029 no i Owen a 1978 and it came with 400 engine and auto transmission and no 4 wheel disc brakes and it is a ws6
@@farfor80 I said 1979 and in 1979 all 400's were L78 W72 220hp 4sp with the WS6 package and all came with 4 wheel disc brakes it was part of the package. The car shown is a 1979 not a 1978 and the engine in that Trans am is a 301 4bbl the intake is a dead giveaway
Your flat out wrong the first bandit movie the use 1976 t/a with a 77 nose , they had four cars to make the whole movie
Thet had 3 1976 T/A to make the movie and one promotion car.
