Jin could've been hunted by the emperor and brought back to the fold to help defend the main land to help train the samurai in the ways of the shadow 😅
@GnosisZX Yes, objectively Jin's character arc was completed both in the main game and in the DLC that was released for the game. The Jin Sakai character had three major conflicts with his character arc, two internal and one external. The one external conflict he had was the goal of driving the mongols off Tsushima island which he did so successfully by the end of the story with some help from allies. The first internal conflict he had was to accept who he became by abandoning the Samurai code and fully adopting the Ghost persona that he established. This included knowingly becoming the enemy of his uncle who raised and trained him despite Lord Shimura's many pleas towards him to abandon the Ghost persona and its guerilla style tactics which Jin ignored because he felt the lives of the people were more important than some stupid samurai code. The second internal conflict Jin had was addressed in the Ikki Island DLC. He had self-guilt and blamed himself for his father's death as a young boy. He then carried that guilt of what happened to his father into adulthood. By the end of the DLC, he acknowledges his father's faults and forgives his killer, letting him go. This effectively completes Jin's entire arc as a character. A second game with Jin Sakai would've been pointless because he had no more room to grow as a character unless Sucker Punch made up something random and stupid like how Naughty Dog gave Nathan Drake an older brother who was never mentioned in any of the previous Uncharted games or the ridiculous forced revenge plot of TLOU 2 which completely ruined Ellie's character in that series. Some have pointed out questions about what happened with the Shogun hunting Jin down but that defeats the purpose of his character arc because that wasn't the Shogun's purpose in the writing. The Shogun didn't make an appearance not once in the entire game and therefore wasn't even a character but rather a device in the story to emphasize the consequences of Jin's actions if he continued down the dark path as the Ghost. We're not meant to know what happened between the Shogun and Jin because the Shogun was again, a plot device to create conflict between Jin and his uncle. The Shogun wasn't an actual character in the story which is why the Shogun never makes a physical appearance. Conclusion: A second game with Jin would've been forced. His character arc ended in the first game. Now we're moving onto a new character with the second game because Sucker Punch has established this IP as an anthology series as I stated in the video.
@@AvidAlchemist sorry but I disagree with this completely the shogun would hunt him down why simple he created a serious ripple effect among the people npc conversations show many of ghosts methods were used by civilians to kill one another like the poison this can lead to anti government movements forming etc Plus shogun sent shimura to kill Jin which shows he isn’t above hunting him down jin pretty much will be running for all that remains of his life unless he commits suicide or fakes his death This still much to cover and the majority of fanbase feels this way this change would have been handled by the third game it too quick to do it could lead to this not being as successful that and the unhinged actress pretty much no one likes
