Great help. I watched this video while I was replacing the battery. The store told me the same thing about the modules and they would not assist... This got me a little hesitant until I finished watching your video... The install went without issues... No need to supplement the power on my 2013 e350
Awesome video. Huge help. I just replaced battery by myself without external battery setup. E350 has Aux battery so it keeps all settings even the main battery is disconnected. It was super easy DIY. Thanks again.
Hi great video, I have 2009 model still has original battery in it, but I am getting a few sensor lights on the dash, took it to. MB work shop and the battery is causing this, so they recommend change the battery, the cost for them to install it is $110 mad money so thank you for your video, I will buy a NB battery on your recommendation and fit it myself 👍
Great help. Just installed an H7 in my 2012 E350 (1st replacement /150k). Those MB batteries are legit, but needed to move fast so grabbed the H7 Interstate at Costco. Sure it will only last 1/2 the time. Thanks again.
Thanks. Replaced my E350 (2010/ 95 Ah) battery, only side effect was the clock synchronizing time, which took only a few minutes. No problem with power windows or sunroof.
Thank you very much for the video. Just a quick question. The dealer sells you the installation based in the need of registering the new battery with the computer module. Have you experienced any issues since you installed your new original Mercedes battery?
there is another battery in the trunk. it is for auxiliary power. if the aux battery is not entirely dead, then should not lose settings. aux battery should be replaced also. do not touch positive to metal, can do damage
@Benny Resendiz I'm experiencing issues with my battery. My battery is only 1 year old and I'm getting a slow crank. It's probably due to me changing my own without registering the new battery. I've checked the amperage draw with the car off and there's no problem. So I would have the dealer change the battery if you don't have a scan tool to register the new battery.
You are right a thousand times. It shows the bad example! For safety, always remove the negative and then the positive. To reassemble, first connect the positive, then the negative. This avoids short circuits between the positive terminal and the body (common to the negative).
9 year old oem battery just died on my 2012 E550, stranding us at home after a cold snap. I asked the merc specialist to check the battery just 2 weeks ago and they said A ok lol! I called them to complain and ask for advice, they said it is ideal to replace with an AGM - glass mat battery. $400 Canadian at Interstate battery. I guess that is ok for once every 9 years.
it will never ever lose its memory. i replaced steering wheel lock motor last year disconnected the battery for a day and everything works exactly the same when i connected them back.
Positive 1st negative last because you can cause problems with the car brotha not trying to be negative or nothing but you have to register the battery to the car as well if not that can cause problems as well bro just giving you a heads up, good video by the way man 👍

Always disconnect the negative cable first and attach it last. This way the connected circuit happens at the ground side; you avoid a spark.

good job
Great video, with that tube on the side it's not a drain cavity, it is a vent tube to route the battery gasses. More common on interior installs.
Thanks for the video. Thank you for clarification about the external power supply while unplugging the battery. 👍
By the way - very beautiful car.
You did an excellent job my guy!
What happen when the battery been removed ? Will there be malfunction or do we need to reset the module ?
What if AFTER you put the battery in the RED BATTERY light still comes on?? What’s that mean?? Do I need to reprogram something??
a very good video with details. thank you.
Does the new battery need to be registered in this Mercedes?
Mercedes charges $90 for this skilled labor. This is creepy similar to W126 Mercedes battery layout, but it had 2 small brackets.
DIY Source. Which dealer did you buy that battery for $150?
Спасибо😊
Thank you!

Benny Resendiz no issues, dealer like to sell smoke too :).

Great! I will do it myself right now. 👍
Should the battery be a flooded lead acid or an AGM
Very nice realistic informative video
Any merc with stop start system uses a lot power from the battery so definitely recommend MB battery
these are deep cycle AGM, many cars such as Toyota have ECO function with big AGM

Great video, the battery terminals need to be torqued to 140 inch lbs. if I may ask, how much you paid for the battery?
Great video, thank you.
Great Video! Thanks
thank you
Is that a AGM battery?
yes, it's a "deep cycle" AGM lead-acid battery
Thank you 🌹
