Great video. I love the Smallrig Vmount plate but the Neewer looks pretty cool also. I'll have to look into that. The 2problems with the Neewer that you're reviewing is that there's only 1 USB-C and charge time is 3hrs. The ZGcine 99 is a super underrated battery. It had 2 usb-c ports before almost every other brand plus one of the usbc ports is on the side and the charge time is 2hrs. And the price is great. All the other v-mount batteries can't justify their high price. Neewer has stepped up their game and have really been putting out some quality products over the years. They have another battery with 2 usb-c ports and 2 hr charge time, but everything is on the top.

I see they have higher models and I'm assuming it's for charge time. Most typically only charge overnight so it's not a sizable difference but it is worth noting for anyone hot swapping onsite. 2 USB c ports would be great but I think it affects the power delivery unless the output is 100w or more, which is what I think the higher models are.
The ZGcine was ahead of it's time. If they came out sooner, I would've bought those over all the indypro batteries I wasted my money on. I just didn't find their percentage readout accurate once you started using it.

Finally a vmount plate that can folded below the camera level when used on a tripod or monopod! That's the reason why we never adopted the smallrig plate
Edit: actually seems they have two models, the one in your links is similar style as the Smallrig plate

It's so specific to certain video professionals' needs but anyone who sees it immediately knows its value. Wish I told them to send a pair for both cameras 😂

Nice and the point of having the USBc ports on the side is so under rated.. Seems like a no brainer and weird Smallrig never thought of that. I bet their future versions will have that. Since most camera ports are on the left hand side. I will be picking one of these up for Black Friday. I have heard many complaints and read many on Amazon that the Dtap port is kind of loose or the cables do not hold well? Have you had this problem?

Nah, if anything it was on the snug side when I plugged in the atomos cable for the monitor.

I solved mine using a right angled usb c cable

Ps, do you know the difference between the 15 and 16 versions of the plate?

I flip mine up and down a lot so that doesn't work out with the right angle cable, not as smoothly at least. The only difference between the two plates they offer is one comes with an arca swiss mounting plate and the other doesn't.

Hey bro, I just bought this combo, however I’ve realized the battery and v mount plate doesn’t stay locked in? Did you experience this or have any tips?

Like it clicks in but still pops out? If that's the case, check the screws on the battery's v-plate and make sure they didn't loosen up during shipping. Should fit snugly unless there's a defect that's out of tolerance.

Yes bro, it clicks in, but if I just like hit the bottom of the battery with my thumb, it’ll pop back up!

Checking the screws! Thanks for responding so fast but I can always return, it’s just the question of like what is wrong the v mount plate or the battery v mount ?

@@omarknowsphotosokay I just tightened the screws, still pops right out, however the NPF battery plate, goes in perfectly fine and locks in? Would you say it’s the v mount plate or the battery? The battery v mount plate looks a little wider.

I believe it’s the plastic border right above the mount plate on the back of the battery, I took the plate off with the 3 screws, the plate locks in perfectly to the v mount with no battery attached to it? What would you recommend?
