The Girl who Dared - Bella Forrest is a really fun Sci-fi ish series. I really loved it. Also, picturing beef jerky people in a pool… thanks for that. Haha
The Netflix show, I wouldn't count on them to deliver unfortunately. However, the Tencent show is amazing. It only covers the 1st books so far with 30 episodes but if you loved the books, you'll love the show.
I honestly agree about the Netflix show; even having watched the trailer my immediate thought was that it mostly looks like any other Netflix show. I’m hoping to get to the Tencent show sometime this year! - randi
I just wanted to say that I went to high school with a guy named Buddy Reed. Also: Looking forward to reading this series. I prefer speculative fiction to hard sci-fi, but from what I've heard, this book is full of amazing ideas. Thanks for the video. (I left when you said spoilers)
Wow that’s wild! Shoutout to Buddy Reed, wherever you are. Thanks for the comment! We’re glad you enjoyed :) we’re hoping to hit up the sequel to three body sometime soon!
I want to be sliced like my grilled cheese sandwiches, diagonally. Loved the book series myself and glad to hear two people that aren't big into the science also enjoyed it.
That was a fun review! I also love Da Shi and the canal scene. Would love to see your thoughts on the rest of the trilogy, or at least The Dark Forest. It's by far My favorite of the three. There are several badass characters, unforeseen twists, and plot threads that all culminate perfectly. And a couple shocking action scenes That had my jaw hanging open. Deaths End is still amazing but in its own way. It's more about The mind melting concepts, tragedy, and cosmic horror than plot. The Dark Forest is just a masterful word of fiction. Warning: The author focuses way too much on a cringe relationship in the first part of the book. But if you can power through that, it'll all pay off.
Thanks for this review! I do hope you read the next books. The second is the strongest I think and the third one is totally different from the two first ones.
Losing it at that end discussion, y'all are so funny
Hahaha I felt like this video was very unhinged but I’m glad it was thought provoking in some way. Vertical for sure loool. - l

I’m looking forward to the next one! Hopefully soon. And diagonally is GENIUS. 🥪 - L
The three body problem is an intractable problem theorized to be insolvable by newton if the body sizes are the same size.

We’re hoping to get to the second one shortly here! We’ve heard great things!
I'm glad! Goodreads has an increasing rating in this series. So it will get better and better. :)
Wow you are the only reviewer that said “the book was written in MANDARIN!” Every other reviewer said the book was translated from Chinese.
Da Shi is the only useful character? 3/10 review
Haha fair enough - I just felt like while lots of characters had lots of knowledge they needed Da Shi to make them apply it in a useful way - r
