2024 Triumph Tiger 1200 Changes in 90 seconds

The new 2024 Triumph Tiger 1200 has some updates for 2024. On the surface they look quite minor but there does seem to be an all new feel coming to Triumph's flagship 1200.

Some are saying the new tiger is now a serious competitor now for the GS, apart from the nose dive issue, if you had the choice between the new tiger or stick with the GS, what would you go for?

That is a tough one. I didn't find the first release '23 model Tiger too bad to be honest but it was only an extended test ride I had. These changes are to be welcomed I think though. With the low seat or possibly the std seat and the new ride height mechanism (I know it is manually activated) I would be sorely tempted with the Tiger, the GS is good but this Tigers suspension is far better I think and the engine does have character. If you ride in the right gear and anticipate corners there is no need for the Tiger, or any other bikes front end to dive. I don't particularly value the lack of dive on the GS because I am not always braking hard into corners on reguler forked bikes so I would not constantly experience it. The GS does engineer in some dive just to give the rider some feeling. The new GS1300 doesn't suit some, Triumph may pick up some defectors there possibly. If I was buying again I wouldn't have another GS, but there is ever more competition out there. The Tiger would definitely be on my list and near the top.

Increased engine inertia....yes the T plane firing ruined the engine so we are bunging in a heavier flywheel!

🤣😬. Yes, remember when they lightened it on the 2018 Tiger 1200 to get a spinnier (not a real word) engine. Still think the GT should be a 120 crank and the Rally can have the newer firing order.

Yes, it's very deep isn't it. I reckon that will be the new go too colour for the GT.
