It just happened to me😅😂. I rewatched that "HI MY NAME IS KATRINA"..... so many times that it has gotten me to watch a full episode. It's a nice British kid show, the chemestry is great. I would watch it as a kid if it were in the States on PBS or Nickelodeon
macstar2010 I know - I've done live radio, and I can really identify with that feeling of, as soon as the red light's on, there's nowhere to hide. How much worse it must have been on national TV at that age!
It was by no means a disaster, but Spencer obviously felt terrible about it at the time, judging from Rod trying to reassure him during the next link. Still, he presented the Twin Schools section a series later and looked nothing short of professional.
Yeah, I reckon she must have been embarrassed to be selected to appear on the show, knowing what it would be about. She had to find something to numb the shame. Hahahaha
Thanks for the upload of the Pink Windmill Show, VideotapeFTW. What an amazing work. I found out about it probably around 2017 thanks to whomever started with the meme but at that time I did not pay enough attention to it and last week I stumbled across the show once more and this time I got a little 'obsessed' with it lmao although I wasn't born in the 80's nor in the UK region, watching the show is quite comforting. Crazy times we live, right? Taking today as example, I was stressed out about a few things and then I came back here and watched episode E3 and E4 and by the time they were done, I was feeling better... Me as a 90's kid still can see some similarities with the shows that I used to watch back then and that's pretty cool. Ah, simpler times! I wonder if you ever received any message from the Windmill "kids" (nowadays), I know that the one and only Spencer lend you a tape (or tapes) of the show but what about the others? They all seem to be cool kids and turn out to be cool/responsible adults as well. I still got some questions in my mind about the show, but I wrote too much already lol Gonna save em for another day
Oh, you're welcome, and thank _you_ - that was wonderful to read! I've always thought the show had a sort of energetic calming influence (if that's not a contradiction), and I'm glad others are discovering that, too. We've been very fortunate in that both Spencer and Joe have been instrumental in getting hold of recordings of episodes I didn't previously have, and they've both helped out immensely. I also had brief exchanges with a few Pink Windmill Kids prior to it all going viral, and they all thanked me, which was a relief as I always had a nagging doubt that some would be wishing the show could stay buried. Thankfully, the overall reaction has been very positive and it seems they're all at peace with their routines being 'out there', as far as I know. Feel free to ask questions whenever you like. :-)
@@VideotapeFTW "Energetic calming" is probably the best way to describe the show Haha and that's so good to know that they are on board with the idea of preserve the show's memory. Now I know the show used to air once a week (Fridays) cause you mentioned in the description of S01E04 - if I'm not mistaken -, so what about the rehearsals? Did they used to rehearse the whole week prior to the big day? Cause they dance routine is always flawless on air. And there's also the external footages, lines to decorate, their study and etc it seems a lot of work, they sure were busy. @@Struwwelpeter Taking everything slightly out of order, one thing I know is that all pre-recorded footage - external dances, Boggle, Twin Schools location shoots, etc. - was shot and edited before they even went into the studio, and that goes for whether the show itself was live or not. So, months in advance, the music and singing was completed; then they shot whatever outside footage was necessary for the dances, and then the Kids could focus on what they were doing week by week.
