@@arunashamal it’s self serving. the super league is only of benefit to the 12 clubs who are in it and they can’t even get relegated from it. they don’t even have to earn their place in the league they just get given it year after year even if they don’t deserve it. there is absolutely no way you can argue for spurs or arsenal to be in in the super league when they can’t even win the champions league once or even the bloody europa league. the super league is clearly only being created in order to guarantee huge amounts of revenue from european football for the 12 clubs despite them not earning it. in the current champions league format, they aren’t guaranteed to receive the lucrative money from qualifying for europe since they have to actually earn it.

We still have the traditional top 4 league system and theoretically it is possible to rise to the top. This proposition removes any such notion. It would mean a huge and radical overhaul of what we know regards domestic and European competition.

I don’t consider myself particularly old, I’m 42, I’m from Scotland, Celtic supporter. As a kid there were a couple of games that made me fall in love with the beautiful game. One good thing has come out of this super league: It’s that we have United against it and realized sure we are Real Madrid Fans, or Leeds fans, or Inter Milán fans- but above all we are football fans
As an Arsenal fan, a.) I cannot fathom how we can qualify for such a league with the current state of the club and b.) Nev and Carra are the premier voice for us, the English football fans, and I cannot be more proud. We need to stick together in these times, we've basically got through an awful pandemic, we can get through this too.
WE qualify because we are one of the wealthiest clubs around and our worldwide (armchair) fanbase is huge which guarantees large viewing figures when or if these games are broadcast.
I am a Chelsea fan and have been for nearly 54 years, I totally agree with Gary Neville 100%. I don't care if you are a Man Utd fan, I don't care if you support Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Man City or my team Chelsea. What binds us all together is the love of our game and our club's that we support for years and our commitment to them. We are fans and we should come together to stop this disgusting irresponsible idea that will not only kill the history of all the clubs in the 12, but our fellow fans who support teams from the Premiership to grass roots clubs. It would end football as we know it in England including the Women's game in England. We have to also work together with every fan of every club in the country but those fans in Italy and Spain who are in the 12 and don't want this Super League to happen. My dad is a massive Liverpool fan. Honestly I’m not a huge football person, but I loved my dad’s enthusiasm for the club and the sport. He never really cared too much about allegiances, it was the heart of the game and seeing good players do their thing. I can’t begin to imagine how low his heart must feel about this. Greed is a deadly curse that spreads its way into every crevice it can find, draining the light and leaving darkness behind it. Even as someone with absolutely no practical knowledge of the game, what the ESL could do to the game, not just in my country but across the world, is truly unforgivable. Football holds a special place in so many people’s hearts, and these owners who only care about lining their pockets have no respect for these loyal, dedicated fans. Much like the pandemic, this is something I would have never predicted in my lifetime. But life has a cruel way of reminding me I can be very wrong in my judgement of the world. We have to fight this. No matter what walk of life we come from. We need to take a stand and do everything we can to sort this problem out.

I go over to my Dads (who’s 76 & supported Utd all his life) to watch Utd play on the tv. We spend 90mins shouting at the tv, along with discussing football for hours before & after the match, it makes his week. I refuse to watch any games Utd play in this farce of a SuperLeague, which means I won’t watch Utd ever again if they get kicked out of the PL & CL. This is seriously gonna break mine & my Dads heart. So many other implications that the Glazers & Co don’t think or care about.

There's alot of hypocrisy from the likes of the FA, UEFA and the sections of the media. For years we've let people walk into the country flashing their lavish cash and no questions are asked.the disparity between the leagues has grown and grown, working people have found themselves more and more thrown on the scrap heap as the clubs chase a new clientele who can afford to pay crazy prices for tickets.

Neville's been loving throwing Liverpool under the bus in all of this. He even said that he's distributed abuse equally to Man U and Liverpool in his response to Klopp after the match. Why does Neville talk about Liverpool so much? Man U I can understand because he played for them and is still a fan. He must be angry with them as most fans are disillusioned with their clubs, but he has no connection to Liverpool yet he has spoken about them "equally". There are five other teams who signed up and there would have been more if they had been invited. He talks about "living in (Klopp's) head" - Liverpool are living in Neville's head and always have done.
