  • The earliest known recorded footage of break dancing from the late 1930's. The music i added to the dancing is: Koke by Tribe.
Buy original Mills brothers music here: ebay.to/2kljBdp
(2018 update. I did NOT use any kind of advance editing software such as Abode after effects/Photoshop etc i simply overlaid the track by Tribe to the original mills brother video using windows media maker. A synchronicity in the universe i happened to find. No special editing needed!)
P.S. Much love for all the wonderful comments and feedback!

Your candor is much appreciated. I have realized that it's when I go abroad that I see people being more realistic about how society moves and culture in a general sense. It's when I'm home in the states that I see (now more than ever) a consistent and concerted effort to remove Black Americans from the annals of history. It brings me joy that 'SOME' good people like you out there are honest and can weed out the propaganda to see the good that we've brought forth to the world 🌎. Love, Peace and Soul.

My thoughts exactly and Krs1 actually co-signed it! That’s Krazy to me! I just watched a video of Africans breakdancing in the 50’s! And it’s undeniably breakdancing! As if them b-boys from the 70s/80s saw that exact video and took from it, im convinced that whom ever brought b-boying to hip hop was directed descendants of African people, some dude was studying them! Or it was a guy with African roots himself! No way around it. Because breakdancing is not American culture! It started in Africa as like a tribal dance! Even these girls twerking and stuff! It All dates back to Africa! Even now… these American girls are watching and emulating, if you didn’t know any better you would think it’s the other way around. But the thing is the way those Kenyan girls were twerking 20 yrs ago!… we’re just starting to see it with our girls now!

This video by the Mills Brothers is an example of how the elements used in Hip Hop existed in u.s- black culture before Hip Hop culture existed. Hip Hop culture is truly founded and rooted in the u.s black communities of east coast New York, and west coast in Los Angeles. It eventually spread state to state and worldwide. If the Mills Brothers would have been born and raised in our time they most definitely would have been part of the Hip Hop culture.

@@learner5090 These dances were done in Puerto Rico also as well as other islands. Do you think that black people in America just sprung up out of the ground? Black people in America weren't even allowed to dance at one point. That wasn't the case for the rest of the Americas, where these dances were happening then. People from the Caribbean have always been coming to America whether it was through force or free black people that came on their own. They were the ones reintroducing forgotten cultural habits to us here. It's obvious how effective whites were in erasing the memories of your ancestors, they have you out here thinking that black folks in America invented all of these old cultural cues. As well as some of you lying about always having been here when there's paperwork showing when you were brought and sold.

There are films out there of this sort of dancing(and more "extreme") going back into the 20s... which probably means that it actually goes back into the 1910s.... whilst I enjoyed the music in this video I'd have preferred to hear the Mills Brothers (often referred to as Four boys and a Guitar) original sound track.
Another thing the Milss used to do was make all the instrumental sounds except the guitar>> Listen here, especially from about 56 seconds on...
