Evercade's Gaming Potential

- The Evercade from blaze entertainment was released in 2019 to critical acclaim. Now there are multiple variations of the evercade including the EXP model and a home console version that houses two carts at the same time called the Evercade VS.
While the Evercade has seen success it still is a niche system but I believe it has the potential to really become an indie showcase and shine light on games that might be overshadowed in the bloated eShop of the Nintendo Switch.

TV out is where the Evercade systems shine for me, (aging eyes now need glasses). Also the response times for video and sound is impressive, better than some stuff you get on modern consoles when running the same games. It's a neat physical thing that captures what was fun about gaming in the 1980's and 1990's. The slower pace of new carts being released gives you something to look forward to just like the good old days. And greetings to PK in the Universe if your watching/reading. 😉👍
There is a 'feeling' that comes from a curated collection of games that makes getting a new Evercade cart really special. It's not a perfect system but that's gaming for you.
I've had one for over a year now (I've actually picked up all three consoles) and have around 20 cartridges. I like having physical cartridges (in hard clamshell cases).
Always wanted an evercade but just never got around to it I'll get one someday. I agree that it's actually doing the retro community and physical media community a big service that's actually the biggest reason why I'm interested
I own every evercade handheld and console models, games, and even the magazines. My name's even in the Hero Credits for the Evercade XP special edition because I preordered and my original order was stolen as part of some weird heist. I'm pretty deep in it because it's enjoyable to collect without stress on my wallet.
Love evercade. They don't get everything right but blaze are doing a good Job.
I have an evercade I bought the first system and I've only played the cartridges that came with it. I haven't bought any new ones yet. I would like to get the VS or EXP in the future.
Not really into the Evercade line up of consoles personally, but I really love what they're doing. I'm hopeful that since all of the big name publishing companies are trying to move to all digital game releases that they will at least license the games out to 3rd party companies like Evercade in the future to handle the physical printing and publishing process. That's just wishful thinking though.
Nice job on this video man . A very fair assessment! I definitely love Evercade for the indie games the most.
Thanks for lending me the system!
I've never owned one, and the button mapping issues for the first couple years of the console was enough to keep me away.
I think I will buy one of the Super Pockets for my nephew this Chrsitmas, though.
They definitely serve a purpose, and I will always be appreciative of companies that keep physical gaming alive 👍👍
Button Mapping is now on the VS and the newer EXP Handheld. Cheers.
Evercade needs an Everdrive... to be honest not for me either.. i like my analogue pocket.
