Hi! I have been a fine art photographer and producer of fine art photo prints but just beginning to explore sublimation. Just want to tell you that out of all the sub channels I've looked at, your is By far the best. Thanks and I just subbed to you and will share it on my PHOTO PRINTING TECHIE FB group. Thanks
Hello, these look great! And, I'm glad I came across your video. Is it best to remove the sock from the jig while it's hot? I have made a couple of pairs and they each look stretched out around the foot area.
I like Photoshop, but I dominantly use Illustrator; is is possible to make the same/similar document/file/product with Illustrator and/or other softwares or is it better to be made with Photoshop?
I recently started my own screen printing company & I'm going to get into sublimation printing next. I really want to do socks. This video was very helpful. I also use cobra ink & a hotronix fusion for my transfers as well.
awesome video by the way just wondering can you use the graphics more then once or do you have to print out a new set every time and how long will the graphics last be for you cant press it any more
Great video. Recently started doing this as a hobby and I'm really enjoying it! I was hoping at the end of the video you would show what the sock looks like on someone. Reason being, I'm finally getting good color transfer and the socks look good on the wooden insert. They also look good when I remove them from the insert. Problem is when I actually put them on. They immediately show the white sock lines in between the "ribs". I am buying the correct size socks for myself, but I was hoping for a better "fill in" with the color. I've been considering flipping the socks inside out to dye the inside too with at least the main background color to hopefully fix some of this issue. Do you run into the same problems, or do your socks still look good once they are stretched out on feet?
Thanks for the video I didn’t even know I can do this. What heat press are you using? Looking to buy my first heat press and tryin to find a good recommendation on a reliable and good quality one. Google can be deceiving
Very great tutorial, inspired me tremendously. One question what size heat press machine are you using that fits the entire jig ti give a full sock bleed?
Is that a classic printer with classic ink ? I mean what is different in there ? The used paper maybe ? Do you have a reference or name so that I can find it too ? Thanks
Love this video. I just got my epson 7110 , i wanted to know if you had to have the CIS to sublimate or could you make transfers with the printer the way it comes?
So if I wanted to utilize this tool, could I use the software on a cricut? I'm confused on that part. On the computer, exactly what software would I be using in order to design this? Also, would I have to use a complete different printer aside from my HP in order to print this image out in order to began the process of sublimation
I am using the same printer with inks from Cobra and I am having color issues, with it not printing any greens and the color is off. What settings do you have it on for Color Management in photoshop?
The white will come from the colour of the socks on. If you dont use white socks and say black socks then all the white areas on your design will come out black. It's the same in conventional CMYK printing on paper.
I am only familiar with photoshop but I dont think it should matter. As long as the software can make templates and can send jobs to print... your good to go.
+Android Miller Well I've been so happy with my Epson WF 7110 that I purchased a second one. I purchased direct from Epson and got a refurb for only $119!
Does the socks form stay stretched out like that? The design was great but it would be nice if you could some how keep the elasticity and original form of the sock.
Do you still recommend the Espon WF7110? I was looking to purchase one today but it ships in 1-2 months via Amazon. Can you recommend a comparable sublimation printer at a similar price point? Thanks in advance and great video!
hi can you tell me where did you buy the ciss kit for epson 7110, because last time when i bought my ciss kit, everytime i want to print something it always said error, cartridge not recognize.
How do you maintain your printer when it's not being used everyday? I hear that the printer heads can dry out without daily use. I'm a beginner, so I doubt I will be printing everyday.
I am having an issue of losing the cushion of the sock after heat pressing it. Do you have that issue? I use Vapor socks... they feel great, but once i do the dye sub heat press, they no longer have the cushion, it's like they've been completely flattened
+Faye Driggers It is a inkjet, but you buy the sublimation inks from www.cobraink.com ;) Sorry for the late reply...had issue with our email and never saw any of our comments.
i have an epson WF7010 and installed the cisinks sublimation ink system, my colors are coming out too light and faded, i was told i needed the powerdrivers. i cant find them anywhere online, can anyone help me with a link or where to find the powerdrivers for epson WF7010? thank you in advance
@@Rasheedrashad818 can you use Epson WF-7710 for sublimation? If you do, where to buy the inks? Does it plug and play if we buy the printer brand new? Also, you say pigment ink for 100%cotton shirts. I always thought you can only do sublimation on t-shirts that are up to 50% cotton material-wise. So, can I do them on 100% shirts now? For example, on Gildan 5000 heavy cotton t-shirt series.
can u please help me figure out how to get the splatter brushes into my photoshop i am so lost.. and can i buy ur sock template ;) im in ur sub and more group im tryn to learn all this

Photoshop or illustrator will do.. if you opt for photoshop just make sure you work in 300 dpi. hope that helps.
Lorenzo I'm using the Epson WF 7110.

Love the video. What size is the jig? Please post jig dimensions.
Did you use the one print out for both socks or did you have to print twice, one for each sock?
Thanks for the video I didn’t even know I can do this. What heat press are you using? Looking to buy my first heat press and tryin to find a good recommendation on a reliable and good quality one. Google can be deceiving
Great video. Thank you for sharing your expertise. What is your cost per pair of socks (not counting the sock)? Paper, Ink, adhesive, etc.
What printer do you have? Any suggestions for sublimation printers?
Very great tutorial, inspired me tremendously. One question what size heat press machine are you using that fits the entire jig ti give a full sock bleed?
16x19

Is this the best printer to use and will I have to buy the sublimation Ink separate?
Hi is this a sub printer or a inkjet printer
I have an epson 7750, my question is can I use the refillable inks that the printer comes with to sublimate my crew socks?
Love this video. I just got my epson 7110 , i wanted to know if you had to have the CIS to sublimate or could you make transfers with the printer the way it comes?
If you don't plan to print daily we recommend the refillable carts vs the CIS.
Great video. Great design.
What kind of transfer paper did you use and what type of ink?
Where did you get your sock template
Thank-you this is so helpful! What kind of printer do you use though?
I have 2 Epson WF 7110 printers. They can handle the 13x19 print size which you really need for socks.
Can i know how the socks are made with ? And proprotion of them? Is it okay after washing?
Great video and awesome explanations!
Could you please share some information about how to match print on sides?:)
Thank you!
Do you need a special printer?

hi amy of #StamyTV brought to you by: Sublimation & More
can this be done by any white pair of socks or there is a specific brand and model
I see that you use both coral draw and Photoshop on your projects with sublimation which one would you recommend?
I am only familiar with photoshop but I dont think it should matter. As long as the software can make templates and can send jobs to print... your good to go.
Yeah I'm working from a mutoh and I can't seem to send the prints from Photoshop directly
Your link to the Facebook group was wrong and linked to another group.
Can you recommend an Epson printer for mug sublimation?

What brand did you use for socks that turn out the best ?
Where can I buy the wooden jig

+Angie D You need sublimation paper and inks to do this along with a printer such as Epson, Ricoh or Sawgrass.

+Purple Crafter Sorry for the late reply...had issue with our email and never saw any of our comments. www.cobraink.com is who I recommend for Epson.

What pressure used ?
+hallyson hubner Medium pressure.
Does this also work on heat pressing shirts?
+franchisejr15 yes sublimation will work on shirts. Shirts have to be 50% or more polyester. The higher the poly the more vibrant the print will be.
What type of sublimation paper is that? And where can I purchase some? I have a xerox laser printer can that be used as well?
you can´t to use laser, you need an inkjet printer
Also what size sock are you using?
Full sock from Coastal Business.
How do you maintain your printer when it's not being used everyday? I hear that the printer heads can dry out without daily use. I'm a beginner, so I doubt I will be printing everyday.
I run a nozzle check once a week.
Why would you dispose of the protective paper after only one use if it's probably still perfectly fine to use again and not waste?
It is only meant for 1 use. Any dye that migrated onto the paper will migrate onto your next project
I am having an issue of losing the cushion of the sock after heat pressing it. Do you have that issue? I use Vapor socks... they feel great, but once i do the dye sub heat press, they no longer have the cushion, it's like they've been completely flattened
