Hope you had a great thanksgiving Alex, if you ever get a chance to deliver for Pepsi, I work at a DC in Northern Michigan, we get water(Aquafina) and Gatorade in from out of state, but Pepsi is hauled by our own company drivers from the production centers. It would be great the meet you. Safe travels
Lol when I was new I did alot of "renovations" to the curbs of America's intersections. I kept hitting them because I still didn't get the sense of how wide I needed to turn
I saw you in Tennessee! I saw your variant truck and took note of the name on the trailer cause i thought "surely its not him", but now I know it was! Thought it was cool. Safe travels and hopefully you'll get to come through again.
Most newer trucks have a suspension gauge that tells you the psi on your drive axles. Don’t rely on it until you get some more experience. But pay attention to it, and note what the psi is empty, then the psi when loaded. This can sometimes help you if the shipper doesn’t have a scale. It gives you a chance to ballpark your adjustments before heading to a certified scale. And hopefully saves you some money and especially time from making several re-weighs.
The reason I don't put my gloves in my truck is because I use my gloves for everything.... Getting fuel, drop/hook to trailers, open trailer doors, etc. and you will get diesel fuel, grease, and dirt all over your gloves.
I saw on the news one time a truck hauling coors light got smashed by a car and there was over 10 thousand beer cans on the highway. Glad they picked you since you don’t drink I know I would’ve quality tested some
"There has to be an equation" LOLOL That was funny.. I was also hoping you would cook up a traditional Thanksgiving feast on that in-the-cab grill house you got there..LOL Safe travels!!
Alex, subtract the lighter weight from the heavier weight and divide by 2, then divided by 250 if the holes on the trailer are close together, 500 if the holes are far apart. Should tell you exactly how many holes to move the tandem.
Just asking cos I’m in the uk how come u slide your wheels cos we don’t do that in the uk or we can’t they are fixed apart from if someone has a container trailer
With all that cold beer you could have on heck of a truck stop party. Thanks again for the ride along. By the way it’s either a delivery or a pickup. It can’t be both. 😂😂😂
@@KatsuKasuu Well technically his company is an OTR single shipment company. They might so LTL I’m not sure but he always says that. Didn’t mean for you to get you steering wheel holders so busy pulling at your bunched up panties.
You should do a live stream before a delivery one day and we can see a delivery from start to finish. I used to ride with my dad when I was a kid and I miss that shit fr. lol
Great video buddy! I especially enjoyed you including and jammin to the awesome tune! Very artistic and fresh! Safe travels! ❤😊 BTW.. what was that tune?
There is one measurement you forgot and that’s bridge having your trlr axles all the way back on a 53 ft trailer is in excess of bridge law. You need to be able to axle weight and be in bridge. Which is a measurement from king pin of trailer to center of tandem of trailer except in cali which is kingpin to I think center of front axle on trailer
Hey Alex, your MOTOR BRAKES actually act like DYNAMIC BRAKES on a locomotive. I have been practicing and I still have the judging part down, a friend of mine does local trucking. His boss had me do a couple local runs, but I really want to see more of Mid America. Variant had better have my Freightliner they promised me washed, I hate dirty trucks.

@@deebly_goncerned ya some customers, will load you last if you don’t follow their instructions, it’s not just for efficiency, but also for safety , but ya the signs do not always appear at a lot of places and you really are better off staying out of the way of their day to day operations , unless they tell you where to dock or stage , thank you all the best be safe my friend;)
Hello alex, from asia here... still new to your channel, what does the thing you do with the trailer back rear do anyway ? is it a lock or something (the switch infront of your rear trailer wheels)? Really2 enjoying your channel, godspeed, and keep up the good work Alex.
that button is for unlocking the tandem wheels after that if he drive forward the tandems will go all the way back and the oposite way if he drive backward
That unlocks the tandems so they can slide, most shippers and receivers here in America require the driver to slide the tandems all the way back for safety reasons, also, sliding the tandems help with weight distribution when loaded
You should go to scale every single time you cannot trust the shipper plus you're playing with numbers that you are not sure of and you're making assumptions about the weight and where it is that can get you into trouble if you get pulled into a scale house
@@chuckt8457 they did not teach that that when I was going through the program I got it from a trainer once I started driving and then I learned how to do the axle weight on a calculator through UA-cam
