"soon" isn't really true I guess. He's the goat, yes. And maybe he'll get WR in 120, but don't underestimate the difference between 70 and 120. 70 to 16 is a completely different story. If it only takes him a year that would be incredible, even if we account for his insane progress Good thing is that his WRs in 16 and 1 are barely improvable at the moment and 0 isn't a really big category. And I'd say the 70 WR is already pretty insane, but maybe he'll lower it further. Then he got a lot of time to practice 120
That being said. He did 4 records in about 2 months. Learn for suigi seems to be on a different planet. I bet he gets a top 5 in 120 within 2 months and an insane WR in 3-4 months.

@@azteciandrumset7140 for normal people it's likely to say it takes them years to get WR capable in 120. Most 16 star runners can't really make it in 120, only very few are capable to achieve really good times. Same for 70, usually the top in 120 and the top of 70 is pretty distinct. Cheese was able to be really good in both, and weegee was a prodigy. I've never seen a pb to WR by more than 30 seconds, which was already insane by cheese. Never seen 40, never seen 50, never seen 1 minute. And weegee got a pb by 1:08 that was a WR by 15 seconds, which is beyond incredible. He's the only player at the moment who's able to compete for 120 WR and 70 WR simultaneously (both his PBS/WRs missed bowser throws), and suigi has got the potential. But even tho he is so cracked, 120 practice is a different story. If he does it in under a year, it'll be itself godlike, no matter if it'd be the 5/5 or not

70* is the most at risk. Continuing to practise will improve muscle memory and confidence, helping 120 and achieving a record that disheartens the competition. Achieving 46:2X or > 46:33 makes sense before moving onto grinding 120*
i don't know if this is pure chance or some sort of blessing, whenever i watch an old youtube video of either an abandoned youtuber or a crazy coincidence, either the coincidence repeats itself or the youtuber comes back within 1 week. I always thought it was pure chance, but considering that i rewatched the 14:35 run a few HOURS ago, i'm pretty sure it's a blessing.
This run is so amazing, I have to point to 28:40 as one of my favorites bc it’s so nasty what you do to tiny world for those 5 secret spaces and then sled down & jump to that star on the island. That shit is mind blowing.
He switched from comparing to his personal best to comparing to a mathematically balanced set of splits based on how fast he should be doing the segments on average compared to his golds in order to PB. Basically, if your PB has a really good first half and a really bad second half, balanced splits will give you a more accurate idea of your pace, since you could still PB even with a mediocre first half.

Yesterday I was leaning towards Cheese being the goat of SM64. But after this I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think the 120 star record is going to be Suigi’s in no time at all. Green Suigi might actually be the GOAT
He IS the goat (nobody ever achieved 4/4, and 2 of the WRs are basically perfect), but 120 will take time. It's not just a run that simply is twice as long as 70 😅 it's an absolute different story and if he does it in under a year, this achievement alone would be mental
