It's sad Stephen is complicit in talking about anything but policy. Organs of the democratic establishment like cnn is the reason that bumbling fool Trump was able to win in the first place. Have y'all ever noticed there's no detailed policy discussion on cnn ever. They'll go in the nitty gritty and use their vast journalistic power to uncover raunchy text messages but no one apparently can do reporting on how many people dental coverage for seniors would help. You know the "universal" pre-k that's in the build back better bill? It's not universal in the slightest, only about 5% more people will be able to send their kids to pre-k. No one knows any of this because our American media works at the behest of big business.

Stephen is right about the staff meeting prior to the firing. I work at a medium sized law firm, and a couple years ago they had to fire an attorney who had done some inappropriate stuff, and they called a staff meeting to tell us about the firing, and to not speak to the media and to not google about it. It was stupid, though, because calling the meeting just made us all aware of it and of course then we were googling and gossiping LOL

Anderson Cooper wrote a memoir about his growing up life with his mom, Gloria Vanderbilt Cooper. (He lost both his only brother ...as well as his dad, when he was a young guy living around New York City with his family. ) His mother was famous for old family wealth , and being a fabulous New Yorker. His dad was just some guy... who wasn’t famous ...there at all. Grief and profound loss were very much apart of Anderson’s life then. He wrote about finding himself and how he started working in journalism and going overseas to do that type of work. He learned it well and discovered that he also loved being with ...people and writing his thoughts down on paper. (So, I already watched him on CNN. The book was interesting and that’s why I was able to recall his growing up tales tonight.) Yup! Now he’s a dad. Yup! That’s wonderful as well. Thanks Stephen Colbert for this evening with Anderson Cooper. Yup!

Except now you have one party trying to pass policy and the other party trying to stop people from voting to grab as much power as they can ruining democracy and focusing on anything but policy.
At the end of the day companies like CNN are doing what's in the interest of their share holders and that means making money.
