Audi Q3 Dent Repair
Thank you for watching my latest video repair, this time I’m showing you My Method on glue pulling dents.
These dents where typical dents I repair on a weekly basis, the damage was in an awkward spot though and tools from the inside wasn’t going to work.
Also I mentioned the dents where situated in the middle of the door and our customer didn’t want it painting (69 plate vehicle) to repaint this would be painting 2 doors atleast, with all the strip and fitting, dust etc this would be a massive devaluation for the vehicle.
I hope you can take away some information from this if your a new dent technician or really interested in the job.
If your a potential customer looking for an accountable technician then I hope you are happy with how we operate, you can see our many repairs and this will give you the peace of mind when booking your repair in. We repair many customers vehicles up and down the country, we are in Beverley and we set aside all the time in the world and look after you if you travel to us.
Paintless Dent Removal or PDR is a method of removing minor dings and dents from the vehicle bodywork without the need for filler and paintwork. This is a highly skilled process in which the dent(s) is massaged from the rear of the panel or sometimes from the front using glue pulling methods.

Anyone wanting a pointless dent removing then Martin is the one to go to. He doesn't cut corners and drill through things to get the dent out he will take the time to take panels off to remove the dent. My Seat had a really bad dent and he got it fully out. I was amazed! He is the master at PDR and I cant recommend him highly enough!. Other PDR people don't even come close to Martin!
Most people would be happy with half or even 1/4 of the work you put into each dent. you are clearly passionate about your work
Very nice work I have a small dent in my jeep I’m trying to take out myself so I want to learn as much as possible! Thank you again for sharing
That has to be one of if not the BEST video for dent removals. Thank you for your knowledge.

you’re a panel beater? what exactly do you do as a panel beater
@@AW-gy6yz He beats panels mate
@@CERTI0151 so your basically saying he sticks his dongle down a panel then humps it back and forth until the panel is beat?
@@AW-gy6yz He beats panels professionally, m8. That´s kinda obvious lol.
This is almost an art seriously. I am not a car guy but I know how to appreciate this!

Used to repair bodywork for many years but retired some years ago. Tried this method for some dents on the roof of my Jaguar. Looked at of loads of vids on here and how people like you do it. Took my time and dents and completely gone . Brilliant ! Thanks for helping beginners get it right 👍thanks.

You're a true magician and an inspiration ❤
This video gave me confidence to repair a few dings on my 5.0 mustang. Keen placement of the light as well. I'm keeping my eye on the reflection to watch the deformation of it as a guide

Exactly the video I was looking for. Thumbs up from me!
Wow thanks BMW Motorsport 🙌🏼
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you 🙌🏼
Top tip for you guys out there.even if your car may have a dent with broken paint and your sending it to bodyshop its still worth getting a dent repair first to reduce the risk of the bodyshop slapping on filler.
This may look easy but it’s a very skilled art of repair.. hats of great job mate 👍👌
Hi MrMagsimus thank you for your kind words. Yes it can look easy but it takes years of practice to make it look easy. Thank you for watching I hope you subscribed to my channel 🙌🏼
Excelente vídeo muy bueno Saludos en dónde consigo esa herramienta
Perfection
Nice work.. Again 👍
Thanks for watching Bob
i bought a dent removal kit from Amazon and i think i will be able to pull many dents with it
Great, i have experience in car bodywork and have watched other peoples methods....i am impressed🤩
Thank you Margo 🙌🏼
Qual o site dessa ventosa aí para comprar
This is the type of dent I have but lower in the door, about 4 or 5 inches below the the body line. This is my 6th video of yours, so I watched 5 videos that had nothing to do with the dent I need to repair on my car just because of the precision and quality of work. Now I am officially out of proper accolades ... until the next video. : )
Hi Danger close! Thank you so much for watching my videos I really appreciate it and for your comments
Work has been busy and finding that next video repair is hard! I do have another video coming soon. Hopefully filming next week. It’s a bit different from the normal pdr work but I hope it will be just as entertaining
Hi from NZ, great video
Thanks Pete
awesome video
do you mind sharing what you charged the customer for this work of art?
Nice work
Thank you 👍🏻😊
A great job👍
Thanks Chris HNY
Good work🎉
Thank you 🙌🏼
So inspiring ,..a real art. Where do you get that wonderful light source? It really is great to see the folds in a panel !
Hi Steven thank you. The light board I use is from Elim A Dent
Love it 👍
Thank you Žan 👊🏻👍🏻
Amazing.
Thanks Gary
good job 👍

Super! No problem just let me know
Thanks Martin
Great video
Thanks Joshua 🙏
Martin, where can I buy the tool kit and super glu you use, and what brand is it? excellent work my congratulations.
Bravo
Hi there ! Nice job. Ive been asking Makita to make a gluegun. That seems like some kind of combinding 2 different tools together. What brand, and how did you make it ?
Nice vid Mart another dent glassed not that I would expect any less 😁
Also love to the advisory about DIY glue gunning gave me a good laugh 👍
Right on
goof stuff man , everyone does it different.
All that handsome and talent!
lol Thanks Jim, it was a no make up day too xx
I subscribe this channel because it’s more realistic .
Wow thank you. I hope my next 2 videos you will enjoy I’d say they are down to earth and show the repair properly 🙌🏼
hi Martin I watch all your repairs, you are one proper craftsman. What do you think about the hotboxes dent removal.
Thank you Dean, I haven’t had much use with the hotbox (Woyo) so I can’t really give a verdict. The Power PDR box on the other hand is very much worth it and every tech should have one
Came to have my OCD itch scratched. Thx
Hey Manu thanks! Hope I helped!
Nice video, how much would something like this cost? Say for just one of the smaller dents?
I am a learner trust me it is amazing video
Thank you so much Imran I hope this helps you 🙌🏼
Great job got to be 150 quid
How much time is it required to remove like 30 dents like the first 2, using the hot glue method? You did a great job on that car. Literally like new.
great video. you seem to start the pull much quicker ie when the glue isn't too hard. very helpful. im off to take the dings out the fridge door!!!
Thanks Gordon! Yes about 5 to 10 seconds is best (for me)
I need someone like them where i live to remove my car dents like a pro😁😁
What color of silicone stick is the best for you?
If it's a slightly larger dent, would you start by pulling from the center or the edges?
Hi,
I have a dent done by the key of the camper, which is a Citroen jumper, in the door housing just near the fuel cap..I pulled it many times but it come out not completely. Could please give a tip? Thanks
Good evening Martin. Excellent video, you made it look so easy. I am not very far from you, I am in West Yorks. Like most watching and commenting, I have two or three small dents to my car that need attention and I am NOT going to tackle myself. Can you recommend anyone in the Leeds/ Wakefield area? Many thanks.
Hi Simon thanks for your message. I can highly recommend Chris Eames at AceDentura. Or if you can stretch to Sheffield there’s Ben Ridley at Trident PDR
Both superb technicians
Thanks for that Martin
Wow! Makes it look soo easy! But... he will have none 1000's of these to achieve those sorts of Results! Very impressive, but I'm not sure its as easy as it looks!!
Hi thank you Jewelly 900 yes it took years of practice to get to this stage
Thank you for seeing this in the videos and what actually is involved in the process
It’s a really satisfying job and does look really easy to do. Like anything else practice makes perfect
great work! what make is the line board?
Thanks Raymond, i use an elim a dent board. It’s a version 3, 14” (6light) board
Nice video once again. Can i ask about your glue gun. how did you make it
Thanks Jpanyk my glue gun is an elim a dent gun, I dropped it and it broke so I diy fixed it!! It’s a great fun I didn’t want to throw it away!!
Great work, what brand tabs did you use for the repair?
Hi Thanks for watching, i was mainly using Keco Black ice (dead centre) tabs 7mm ones
Hi. Really found this video interesting and useful thanks. Have some very similar minor dents as shown at the end of your repair. Do you find the Keco 7mm tab the optimum size for these? ie have you ever tried a 5mm or too small? (Tossing up between a pack of 7mm or the variety pack).
Hi
Hi Ian thanks for your message. Yes you can use smaller ones if needed, I’d only recommend trying the glue pull repair if you have had experience with pdr, they will stick really well but you may oct pull and then you’ll need to tap and end the high spot back down
So if your hoping it will just work I’d really recommend speaking with a local technician. I’d hate for you to mess your car up
Thanks for your comment and good luck
Martin
@@dentremover01 Thanks Martin. It’s an old car so I’m happy experimenting with some PDR. Do you have any recommendations or a favourite knocking tool for any high spots? Ian
Hi Ian ok no probs! A simple knockdown like a root beer or Delrin, you can sharpen them up or blunt them easy enough to your liking
I am doing a dent on a Toyota land crusier. And the tap down seems like I have to hit really hard to get any movement is this normal or am I just being too cautious?
I don't care what you say I'm gonna try it
hi:) very good video thanks for sharing:) I want ask : what glue you are using?
Hi Thanks for watching, I’m using Glexo and Hawg glue, I mention this towards the end, it’s on chapter (07:39 favourite Glue Mentioned)
@@dentremover01 thanks for fast reply👍
I wish you were in my city
How much does it cost to repair a 1 small like dime dent?
Do we have someone in Columbia are can fix a dent
Do you do house calls, i have 3 tiny dents that are stressing me out, Im in Cleethorpes
Hi Steve thanks for your comment.
Cleethorpes is out of my area and a travel charge may not be very good for you
But your welcome to visit us and we can drop you into Beverley for a coffee and lunch while we carry out the repair?
Fantastic job. What would you typically expect to pay for a repair of that size?
Hi Steeltown thanks for your comment. Repairing these dents with glue are quite reasonably priced, anywhere from 120 to 200+
@@dentremover01 very reasonable. Thanks for the reply. Great work.
I've got one dent just like these on the door of my Jaguar XKR 07, Portfolio. What whas the cost of this repair?
Wow! How much would you charge for this job? I’m going for a glue pull repair on my car next week, but don’t think anyone would match your level of perfection
Hi Rakib thank you for your comment…. Prices vary because every dent is different but generally speaking a dent like this maybe a hundred to a couple of hundred. I wish you all the best with your repair. There are many techs who can repair dents like me and also many techs who could do a better job than me! All I would say is make sure you ask for previous work/testimonials etc to give you reassurance
Thanks Martin
Does this system work on older cars with perhaps heavier gauge metal i.e. Golf from 1990's?
Hi, it would work but there’s always a chance the paint may come off. A dent technician who knows their glue pulling capabilities would be able to assess the paint and decide whether to proceed or stop before potential damage occurs. I’ve personally glued older cars with success- I’ve also glued brand new cars and pulled the paint off.
@@dentremover01 Thanks.
Great video. Question: So, I guess you pull while the glue is still hot and before it gets hard and cold. Is that correct? Did you say you wait for a few seconds?
Yes so you want to wait between 20 secs and a minute depending how big or small the tab is and how much glue you use. With Experience you’ll home your skill 🙌🏼 good luck
@@dentremover01 Great! Your work reminds me of the people who restore fine work of art. I just got one of those DIY PDR kits but was wondering how to use these different tools. I will definitely check out your other videos before I do anything on my cars. :D
Hi Martin what make is the red glue?
Hi Wysiwyg thanks for your comment, the red glue (orange) is called Hawg Glue. Most pdr shops online sell this glue. The temp to use this would be a uk summer so anything from 15 degrees upto 30 degrees, uk winter time I find the GLEXO hot glue to work great, so
15 degrees and under
Hope this helps
Thanks Martin
How much would a job like this cost?
Sir tell the links of the tools that you used to remove dents
Hi Sapna thanks for your message. All the tools used where from Tdntools.com
Thanks Martin
How many minutes to do all that? I've got an MR2 I'm sprucing up in Swanland and am wondering if I can afford this, noting it has at least 20 dents in it lol
Hi Richard, thanks for your message and for watching the video(s)
Dents can be repaired in minutes or hours it all depends where and how big they are
Are you able to pop and see us at the workshop or send a video of the damage to me?
Let us know and we can go from there
