51:08 i swear there is nothing funnier than you giving some sort of dating analogies with chess. It never makes any sense at all, and i absolutely love it.
Ok Alex now we are waiting for the QGA course…i’ve been struggling with qgd, slav kid but u make this so much easier to understand…we are already grateful for what you did in the caro kann and im very happy with your course and have signed in the waiting list for the Jobava which i already enjoy and tossed my QG courses … thank you so much i definitely think that your channel is the most instructive
The QGA II would be great. I'm looking at this as a response to D4, and your videos are really easy to understand. I like the Grunfeld as well, but it's so much theory!
Thx for sharing as always. I started following you in twitch back in covid days. The reason I like your content is the way you explain is like guide us noob how IM thinking process about each steps. As for queen gambit, it will be a jungle for me at my level. There's a lot of random choice/combination/variation to remember/learn. But at least I can learn much from you today of how IM thinking process about the queens gambit accepted. As you said: Starter pack 😂
tbh not a lot really, only 5 minutes needed! the only drawback is that you also need something separately vs 1.c4/1.Nf3 unlike if you were playing the Bf5 Slav (black london)
Thanks Alex for this video. I normally decline the QG and try to play the Scharra gambit (A very intriguing opening), so I'll definitely start to vary my QG with this very cool opening. Been playing the Jobava and Caro Kann, and switching from BG4 to C5 in the advanced caro has improved my odds of wimning. Keep up the great work ♥️
Maybe you could cover the Tarrasch defense to the queens gambit. Also, I'd love for you to cover how black should handle Panov attack lines against the Caro where white plays c5 going for an early queen side pawn storm.
Really interesting to take the opponent by surprise. I've played for more than 15 years in competition and I always refused the gambit. Maybe I'll change my mind next time...
Would love to see more of this opening. Seems like a fairly uncomplicated way of handling the queen's gambit with a good amount of room for white to go wrong.
I started learning the Czech Benoni to counter 1. d4 players. That comfy +1 evaluation for white soon disappears once they start running out of ideas. Black's strategy is quite simple but takes a bit of patience manoeuvring the knights around and timing the f4 break. Would only recommend if you like closed positions though.
Wow perfect timing! I have been trying out other openings against D4 (I mainly play the KID) and haven’t really liked the Slav and in the process of learning the nimzo last few days. This looks more my style thanks so much as always Alex, you are the best chess tuber by far
@@AlexBanzea thanks for the tip as always, I will continue to learn the nimzo and try this as well when I get bored or frustrated. And I would settle for becoming 2200 some day much less a master or champion 😅
Def want to see more of this opening. I'm not a huge fan of the KID (I use to play it a lot. I'm also 2000 elo). Would love to add this to my repertoire as I don't have a great response to D4 that I'm in love with.
I love your videos, I've been playing the jobava london with very good results but I'm struggling with caro kann. Is the king's indian defense superior? I've seen you have some videos on it
Don’t give up on it. I had a good bit of hard learning using the caro but now I have my win rate with it up to almost 70%. I highly highly recommend buying Alex Chessable course on the caro. It’s like 35$ and literally covers every single possibility in a way that’s super easy to remember (easy for chess memory stuff, still a decent bit of work)
I use caro against E4 and kings Indian for just about everything else and over 60% win rate with both pretty much solely learned both of them from Alex videos
1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e4 e5 4.Nf3 Nf6 5.Bxc4 exd4 6.Qb3 Qe7 7.O-O Just one example of how white should play vs QGA with 3..e5 4..Nf6 from FM Kamil Plichta's excellent LTR for 1.d4 on Chessable. It's really annoying when someone touts an opening but doesn't show any of it's critical tries for the other color.
Actually 1.d4 d5 2.c4 dxc4 3.e3 e5 4.Bxc4 exd4 5.exd4 is a version of the French Exchange that favours White. 1.e4 e6 2.d4 d4 3.exd5 exd5 4.c4 dxc4?! (better Nf6 or Nc6) 5.Bxc4 is slightly better for White.
As a seasoned queens gambit player i appreciate you teaching people how to deal with these inferior lines. It just means that more people will go into the qga and struggle with the actually good replies white can play
What I appreciate the most about your content here is that you go through your thinking process honestly, comprehensively. Two things I'm sure of: Palestine should be free and you, my friend, are a good man.

1.Nf6
Me too, I absolutely loathe QG
Just finished everything for today, I'm sitting with my supper and new Alex video is out. Thanks for sharing, You're absolutely best teacher on YT!
from 800 elo to 1400. Thanks alex !!

there is some truth to that, but you just get spanked if they follow my line from the london course on chessable.
Wow, I spent the past week looking up QG accepted videos hoping to find one in Alex Banzea's style. What a gift
Great instruction and humour to boot. Cheers

Excelente español. Saludos desde Colombia.

What opening do you suggest if the opponent plays the Jobava or some sort of London?
because I know all the lines, those also confuse me too haha. On a more serious note, something simple with Bf5 is always very good.
Best mentor👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Alex! simple and effective for us mere mortals. Does this opening have a name?
Yes queen's gambit accepted or QGA
How good do you think this is in classical as a 1900?
