I just actively started playing like 2 months ago and your videos have made a BIG difference. I climbed from 400 to 800 over the past 2 months and it’s a big thanks to you. Sights set on 1000! Mulțumesc!
Not even clickbait, the bf5 lines have gotten me 90%+ accuracy, wins against 1800+ elo blitz players, which I’ll take all day sitting at 1170 blitz. I make it to move 16 barely losing 10 seconds on the clock lol
Scored 99.1 in 15 moves with the Jobava this week thanks to you My opponent didn’t play very well and it was a short game but still I’ve been getting over 90 accuracy pretty consistently since I started playing this opening!
I just watch for the humor but my goal is to get back up to (1200) like I was in high school in high school I used to watch Gotham chess and used the London system I'm liking the Jobava better and this guys humor is top notch
What a good way to end a work week, with a new video from Alex! Are you traveling the world right now? You seem to have been playing from 4 different locations :D
Thank you Alex! You really ignited my passion for chess again with this openning! Climbed a 100 points of rating and keep getting Jobava blitz games with more than 90% accuracy concistantly as an 1100. This openning is OP!
I enjoyed how you spent time talking about his castling in the final game, when in fact he lost the right several moves earlier. Glad to see an imperfection, as I have hundreds, and it is always hard to measure up to your cool, relaxed, style of play.
The Boa Constrictor that you showed in the video I think might be good in several lines. But the exact moves that black made allows Bd6 Qf3 instead of Bd6 Nf3. I normally use Qf3 in this exact move order. But it's good to know that Nf3 works too.
I have much more to learn judging from my awful scores in rapid games. I can now relate to Bobby Fisher when he claimed to hate chess because of all the memorization needed (not that I'm anywhere a Master level). But I'll probably never take to Random Chess.
I think there is one important line you missed to explain after Nxe6 at 7:50. If black doesn't take the knight and plays Nb4 attacking your Queen you have to play Nxg7 Kf8 Nf5 giving your queen away. The idea is that you are threatening to take the queen and playing g7 at the same time. Black can give a check with Qf4 after which you move your king, and if black tries to move away from the fork on g7 by playing Ke8 then Nd5 traps the black queen
Hi, Alex, as always - new video is a must watch. Could You make a video in the future, concerning how to predict candidate moves for your opponent? Is there any road map on this topic, You seem to always know, what Your opponent gonna play! Thx nad have a great evening!👍
21:31 It would have been more clear if you explained the "trap" if the opponent takes your dark square bishop with their Queen? It took me a while to realize the discovery trap by checking their King with your light square bishop and taking their Queen with yours.
Cant Believe the 1st Player was 1400. You make it look so simple. I like watching your content bc you dont choose subscribers as opponents you play Random and slay. Keep it up buddy. Love from India ♥♥
I don't mean to "brown nose" but I've been crushing from your jobava/caro kann videos. I promise to donate soon (I am still in a building phase with my business)
Hi great videos thank you . Why could we not put the king on G2 instead of F 2 especially if there is no white bishop to attack the king on this white square ? Thank you
I like your videos. I play the London (and Jobava London) as White, and the Caro-Kann and Dutch as Black. This combination covers me against everything. The Dutch is fun but too tricky. I'd like to have a more reliable strategy against d4 for Black. I think the King's Indian is the most popular choice here. I find it boring but remember how I felt the same about the Caro-Kann until I learned it. Now, it is my favorite opening. Why don't you add something like this (a weapon against d4) to your repertoire?
Game 2 seems like a Greek sacrifice that went wrong. =D.... or was it? jeng jeng jeng.. Very insightful YoMaMa London system indeed. However feels like it's very risky with the kingside forays.
1st game at 8:20 when white pawn forks Queen and Knight - could black have played Nb4 attacking white's Queen and the pawn thereby escaping the fork? I realize white's rook could come in with a check which might not bode well for black.
It’s crucial to understand 4.e3 first because black can force us into it with tricky move orders. Example: 1.d5 d5 2.Nc3 e6 3.Bf4 Bb4 and you can no longer play the Nb5 lines.
@@AlexBanzea understood. Will the course consider both routes then or just use 4.e3 for simplicity’s sake? I understand transposing into this situation from the opening you mentioned but I find 4 Nb5 just to be straight forward and easier tonplay from in the traditional lines Thst said, I’m excited to see the jobava course when it comes out and I hope I can simplify my lines through your course
Bruv stop saying he's going to castle in Game 5, he'd already moved his king. This stuff happens all the time, even for IMs and I find it so funny. Btw I'm not being rude, just trying to point it out.

I greatly appreciate Alex’s honesty when he blunders and his fantastic explanations of the various lines

V-hug right back! Thx for great content! You have taught me all about the Jobava and I love playing it!

I’ve progressed from 800 to 1240 in the last year thanks to your help. Thank you.

Thank you! Great middle game ideas.👍
The Excalibur knight sobriquet is ingenious, but the thing stuck in the teeth analogy is a completely different level of brilliance.
I see you didn't review game 3, maybe not quite 90%? 😅 But, probably the most entertaining attacking game of the set!
Alex never fails to get kidnapped

As an American I can say confidently that at 56:05 “I don’t give a damn” sounded like perfect south Kentucky/North Tennessee accent 👍🏻👍🏻

Unparalleled teaching!!!
11:03 “how the heck did I lose? What was the decisive mistake?” A 1400 playing an IM was the decisive mistake 🤣
Lol
Get that triple pawn position (or just before) a lot, that trap is going to be useful thanks 😄

I climbed to 1100 with the jobava London and the caro Khann❤
Last game your opponent was not able to castle on move 21 anyway 😂
Yeah lol hahaha
Mate, chessable course, release, when???
Your regular London is useful btw.
pov you play jobava london against the caro kan 💀💀☠☠☠
Sorry chess beginner here, i dont understand why in game 2 black can't just take the bishop on D5 with the queen? Seems like a logical choice for me 😅
Hello Alex. Fellow player from Malaysia 😆
Alex, what software are you using. What is chessmaster teaching?
I have learnt best openings for white and black. Pon push and everything. my end game still socks..

Nb4 allows the pawn to capture the queen. After which you take back whites queen and he takes black knight back.
Thanks I see that now that black loses his knight and white would have a protected passed pawn. 👍
When are you going to make a Jobava Simplified course
Highest I've scored is 96.1 with Jobava London in a classical (daily) game
Esti foarte tare frate îmi place mult ce faci . Vreau sa te întreb iti pregătești ce zici înainte sau vorbești liber

22:50 "Opponent 1350-ish....Playing a cat..... not a bad rating for a cat" 😁
please if you can do video about hippopotamus opening
will your chessable course have 4. Nb5 as an answer to 3. e6 from black? or will it just cover the basic response of 4. e3?
It’s crucial to understand 4.e3 first because black can force us into it with tricky move orders. Example: 1.d5 d5 2.Nc3 e6 3.Bf4 Bb4 and you can no longer play the Nb5 lines.

What if they go E4 from the start? Getting a lot of that
Can you cover the Colle Zuckerfort and Bird opening more often? I play both and they’re both really fun deadly!
I'm interested in both, would you recommend for a scrub (1000 blitz) or does it not really matter yet? Thanks
In Game 1 what happens if your opponent plays 23… f5
Desperate for some h5 games by Black Alex. Please???
I'm feeling really dumb right now, but why can't the black queen take the forking bishop in game 2?
will lose the queen when other bishop takes pawn for check
