Time Stands Still was released in 2015; so I think it should be him. It depends on when the video was released and when the album was being recorded.

@@HALberdier17 Did some digging, it is Brayden in the video.. But according to Google and Apple music, Andy was part of the writing process and I'm guessing (can't find a definitive answer) studio recording. Maybe Andy was busy and they asked Brayden to fill in for the filming? 🤷♂️
@@Z_TPI Brittney said in one of her interviews that this was filmed in 2013 but wasn't released by napalm until 2015. think Andy joined in 2014 but maybe had writing credit before joining the band.
Tonight we ride... very slowly.
Just gonna go ahead and say listen to everything by this band. “Awakening” is always a good one, aswell as their new album Abyss. The title track “Abyss” is phenomenal. “Cleanse the bloodlines” is also great for the epic feeling of Power Metal.

You know, safety reasons and whatnot. I'd go slow to keep the band members from getting hurt too.
Northwest Passage is soooo awesome! It's a must watch and hear!
My absolute favorite song from them is Time Stands Still.
In a time when gas is the most valuable resource, it would be smart to travel at a speed more friendly to gas mileage. You wouldn't travel at full throttle unless you needed to.
Why reduce your resources potential to half or less when nothing is near you?
Try to put things in perspective before you bash it. Riding slowly makes more sense than you do.
Brittany is right up there with Floor in my list of favorite female vocalists!

I had a very similar reaction when i heared them the first time (song was awakening)
Brittney also recently released a video of her singing to "Zombie" by The Cranberries. Just her, with a few camera angles, so you can see her jaw and throat to really see what she is doing.
Very interesting to not start with "Awakening", as most people do.
Still a good one, or maybe even their cover of "northwest passage", something no doubt familiar to you.

Courtney: War (Because of the pure violence and agression that her voice can be)
Tatian: Death (Soft, Hard, calm and violent at the same time, just as Death can be)
Floor: Famine (Because you can't get enough, you always want more and she always gives you more yet you're never satisfied, you always hunger for more.)

Brittney is a powerhouse of a vocalist. She's like the female version of Rob Halford or Bruce Dickinson. The harsh vocals are perfomed by the guitarist Grant Truesdell. This song is from their 2015 album, Time Stands Still. Other great songs by this band to check out are:

Brittney Slayes is both a person and a completely accurate sentence. Apex and Abyss are some of the best albums of all time in my book. I would highly suggest you just react to both albums in their entirety, as they are concept albums covering a single story.
Brittney does not growl though; that's Grant Truesdell, one of the guitarists.
Not just Canadian...He is from Vancouver and had to have someone tell him about Unleash the Archers. Ok i discovered them the same way but my failure is less ironic.

Haha - Victoria home town guy here too. They only used to play small venues like big fernwood and Logan’s pub. They moved to Vancouver and have seen far more touring success out east, Europe and the us. The growl is from the the guitarists (one of whom has departed and been replaced). Nice reaction - awakening and northwest passage would be awesome next. Also of note is that they are doing a multi album concept arc with a story written by Brit. Apex (most recent album) is phenomenal.
There's a live version of this from Tokyo, and she just nails it. Impressive power and range.

She’s one of my favorite vocalists. There’s just so much power, and a ton of really interesting and smart choices in layering vocal tracks. The rest of the band is awesome and the composition is great, but Brittney brings the fire. Would love to see more UTA. Awakening, Legacy, Soulbound, or if you’re willing to venture off the beaten path, The Wind That Shapes The Land or Return to Me. She does her supervillain voice in that one... she usually has this tone that channels joy and freedom and rebellion, so it’s cool to hear how she alters her approach to play a more menacing, aggressive, domineering character in the UTA universe.

Ken, since you’ve been listening to Rammstein, i think you may also enjoy Eisbrecher.
They’re another German band, and in the same subgenre of Industrial Metal as Rammstein. The lead singer Alexx Wesselsky has a pretty great voice too.
If i had to suggest a couple songs I’d probably say either:

I’m not from Victoria, I’m from Kelowna but I felt the same way when I first heard them just over a year ago! Britney is everything metal has needed for a long time. Nothing against other female metal singers but none compare to her!

I subscribed. Definitely hoping to see more Unleash The Archers! All of their stuff "Slayes".
Point of note, Apex album and Abyss will get a lot of recommendations and you can't go wrong with any song on either album, but they are concept albums that tell a chronological story about a character called The Immortal. So to follow the story, you should start with Awakening. It's an amazing concept and great story. And of course, Brittney crushes every vocal.
So these guys are with Napalm Records and are an amazing band! Another group from Napalm is Nanowar of Steel and they have a song called Valhalleluja and is an absolute must watch/listen! they have a great sense of humor in their music but are very sound technique-wise. Please do a reaction to it, I'd love to see what you think! Love your channel, keep up the great work!!

Ahhhhh you’ve found my favorite band. They’re the best, I love them more than a UA-cam comment can express, please check out stuff from their 2 most recent albums, Apex and Abyss. From Apex the songs Awakening and Apex are my favorites, on Abyss the tracks Through stars and Carry the flame are my favorites but Abyss and Soulbound are also both great and they have videos for them the other 2 don’t. Those 2 albums are perfect, very song on them is great and I highly recommend any song on both albums. Also since you are a Canuck you should for sure check out their cover of Northwest Passage, you must do more UTA, you owe it to your hometown band 😉
I really enjoy the comments on her voice. The main reason I listen to this song repeatedly is because the high notes gives me a Iron Maiden-esque feeling about the song.

I can't believe no one has suggested this one yet but check out Blind Guardian's The Bard Song and Valhalla Live at Wacken 2016, Hansi Kürsch's vocals are amazing.

You should really check out "General of the Dark Army" by the same band. They do the scream/growl thing while she sings and it kinda sounds like they are harmonizing and its a treat.
Their most popular song "Awakening" is also wonderful, especially if you like intricate guitar work. Great band.

Reading the lyrics straight through tells this wonderful and gripping struggle between the Matriarch and the Immortal. Please dive into that. Awakening is the start of the tale on Apex.

She is a badass but also very sweet and down to earth. She does a lot of interviews with UA-cam Reactors, all you have to do is reach out and ask. You could talk about her vocal techniques and all that jazz, I'm sure she would like to talk to someone from her hometown, eh? :)
Great Reaction Ken, that's a sub! I love UTA, their stuff is all good. Their last two albums, Apex and Abyss, were full out story concepts with every song beginning to end telling a "Chapter" of the story across both discs. A few suggestions:
Awakenings - Their standard reaction vid, first song off their album "Apex" but the song is so worth it. The most balanced performance I've ever seen by a band, EVERYONE gets a star.
Northwest Passage - Cover of the Canadian folk song originally by Stan Rogers, with their own twists. Really solid, incredible range
Abyss - Title Track of their newest album
Cleanse the Bloodlines - from Apex
The Matriarch or Soulbound - Quick, high tempo, high energy bangers that just really get you energized.

I actually live in Chilliwack BC and take the ferry over to the island all the time to play drums in a Victoria-based metal band called Liminal Shroud. Both of the guitar players Grant & Andy do harsh vocals. It is probably one of the more reacted to video's on youtube but Awakening is a great on to watch to react to UTA. The way the video was shot you can really see what everyone is doing during the song. Also I have always particularly like Time Stands Still, and their cover of Northwest Passage.

the harsh distorted vocals are by the guitar player. Other people have said it before me, but check out their new album Abyss, it's probably the best thing that happened in 2020
