I don't care what anyone says I like it, I watched a vid of it in action and it looks awesome, plenty of power, handles pretty well, and the Traxxas durability 💯

It's a great truck bought the blue one just as durable as my maxx and fast as hell yea it will roll but as u get use to it u won't flip it as much the best part of the hobby every truck handles different wich is y I have so many 😂😂😂

I'm sure they'll be coming out with updated models of all of the cars soon.
I just got the Mojave 6s beginning of January it had the v2 esc and new steering servo I see a Mojave 6s exb rtr coming with the same upgrades the v2 Kraton 6s exb has
@@XtreamZ1332 Interesting, didn't know they were putting the updated esc's and servo's in the current models. For the time being I think you lucked out sticking with the V5 diffs. It sounds like the Big Rock and Kraton EXB rtr took a couple steps backwards with the new EXB outdrive cups breaking like porcelain.
Cannot wait for this thing. I ordered a red and a rock and roll. I already have an idea how to get 8s in this thing.

@@DoRC I guess there are a lot of RC channels. But still, this is a really good channel with decent sub count so it'd be perfect. They'd be helping out the smaller guy and also get to reach a good amount of people.
No offense to Do RC but the MSM UA-cam channel has over 125k subscribers and Mark is a known Traxxas fan boy? So, yeah, Do RC has a ways to go before it attracts the attention of Traxxas (no offense to you Kenny 😉)
70mph, doubt it. Geared up might get close but it will over heat then shut down in a vaper lock. You'll have to put a Hobbywing Max 8 combo in it to get 70mph IMO. Yeah i'd go for a 6s Mojave
The body is going to stop you from getting 70 miles an hour.
ESC tops out at 6S ("max: 25.2 volts") so that 8S test might be really short and smokey.
Oh I wouldn't do it with the stock ESC. Probably not with the stock motor either :-)
This will absolutely be my first Traxxas. Looks like the perfect edition to my Arrma SCT collection. I'll wait a while though, let the kinks get addressed (and my wallet to grow a little 😂)

Because of this arrma will likely drop a complete 6s update this Thursday. There has been a leak of the “v6” kraton part number on horizon website since early february
I would expect something but probably not a full lineup. It doesn't make sense for them to release a bunch of vehicles at once as it waters down the hype for each individual vehicle.
We should have our demo in at my lhs Friday , I'll do a review and run against the 4s Mojave and size comparison .

Do you know if the shocks are color matched on the red and green bodies or are they all blue?
I believe that they are not color matched. The exploded you only gives one standard part number but I'm not 100% sure on that

If you want to do real bashing get one of these if you want to look at it on a shelf and film slow motion video as well as enjoy watching the suspension move up and down get the UDR.
Nobody breaks it down like Do RC!!! I’ll be honest. I had zero interest in this when I first heard about the leak. I just really want Traxxas to release a new 8s. I bough the xrt ultimate and then the sledge. I regret getting the sledge. Something about bigger RCs just hits different. Maybe it’s the bigger impact when they land from big jumps. Or just becuase it’s a bigger RC.
This thing actually looks sick. If you have a track or have a close by track, this looks like a must. And the Sledge sure is fast. This thing is just as fast since they have the same motor.

I think it still will. It'll probably be a little bit lower but the two serve kind of different purposes being such different sizes

At least when Traxxas releases vehicles that have some good hype, they at least tend to have a good initial run of stock on hand….Arrma and Losi typically fail on this point. Happened with the promoto, Grom and Mini LMT just recently.
Looks to be a good product again but I own a Mojave EXB and it’s too similar to justify that purchase

Me personally I would rather buy the. Udr because they are in the same price range and the udr,s suspension is more my taste. For me udr is just better overall
It really just depends on what you're looking for. The UDR looks better and will definitely drive more scale but this thing is going to be far more durable.
This looks cool and all, and i am a sucker for SCT's, but ill stuck to my Super Baja Rey 2.0. This looks more like a basher under the SCT body. When i finally get a larger scale basher, ill probably get an Xmaxx. Im rocking an Arrma Granite for bashing right now with a ton of upgrades, and its a blast. If any Traxxas fanboys who were in the market for a SCT, they'd be better off jus getting the UDR.
Yeah essentially it's a stretched max with a short course truck body and low CG.
Mark santa Maria has test run the truck, he got 41mph on 4s on grass & 51mph on 6s. It does wheelie pretty easy, but does parachute on 6s. Front tires rubbed the body quite a lot, & the body came off in crashes.
That sounds about right. I am surprised about the body coming off though

I'll wait for someone who's a little less enthusiastic about Traxxas to watch anything. Traxxas could sell a turd with wheels and a 2s power system for $600 and that dude would pay $1200 for it and think it was great. Oh wait.... he already did.

Yeah I don't know. They seem to put a bunch of parts on the ultimates that I wouldn't necessarily recommend.

Maybe they will. I think the wide max will technically work on this but you need a different body.

It has a center diff. According to the manual it is filled with 100k fluid.

Ive never been a huge fan of short course trucks because the always fly at hogh speeds and the tumble over alot. A low CG like the sledge is probably better especially for 700 dollars!!!!!

Yeah I'm not sure. I highly doubt they have a true limited slip so I'm guessing like "torque biasing" name this just means it has thick differential fluid :). I mean that is technically limiting slip
I like the idea, but for the price ill probably buy the udr for $49 more🤷🏻♂️
It is pretty expensive but I think the UDR is a different type of vehicle and I'm not sure the two are really cross compatible.

I know yes the slash is a bit bigger but I think if you put 6s in the Mojave imo it would be a better truck
But we will see. IT’s probably going to cost way to much.
It's tough to argue against either of the mojave's. They are both really good trucks.

Just saw the price and holy crap💩 it’s 700 hundred. You could buy a kraton 6s exb, a Kagama, and heck a traxxas sledge for 100 less I would not recommend that tho from what I see of the sledge

SCT need ballooning tires. Reason number 1 i got rid of my mojave is because it is notorious to nose dive no matter what you did. Pair that with belted tires it will make it even worst. The mojave also breaks body posts and bumper springs like nobody bussiness. That was the last straw wih my exb mojave. To fix that issue i would have needed to go 8s with a 300-400$ system and that was absolutely not worth my time and money. Then i got a 3d printer and i could have easily fixed the npbumper issues. Not so much the body posts tho
Maybe though I'm not sure with the size of the tires and the space available under the body ballooning would make a huge difference. The lack of air control is just kind of inherent to the SCT design and other than chopping up the body and putting way bigger tires on there there's not a whole lot you can do about it.

Yes and no. Cheap LED lights are cheap but the really nice ones that Traxxas does are quite a bit more expensive. I honestly would rather than be optional and good than just some crap random LEDs glued into the bumper.

I'm not sure that's true. This car and the UDR kind of look a little alike from the outside but they are two very different vehicles.

Hard to disagree with you on that one. It certainly has a more cohesive detailed look though I will say that short course trucks kind of always look like this.

Mojave 6s is my very first rc I got in beginning of January and I absolutely love it I got the v2 Kraton 6s exb this month and it’s a blast but the Mojave just has a special place in my heart lol
