That sway bar really makes a difference. Now you have a really fast turtle. Shorter links would make more clearance for the frame and still work the same.
Absolutely cured the major twist issue, very informative video. I was starting to lean away from getting a ryft because of all the videos i have seen and the twisting was so out of hand. This has me re-thinking that maybe the kit version when it comes out will be worth getting!
Exocaged RC is the first authority on Axial Ryft. I'm going to order mine next month. Hope the aftermarket gets complete swaybar kits on the market till then.
Definitely helps plant it on a straight run, but not so good when turning. definitely noticed a whole lot more rolling & flipping of the vehicle. I wonder if there's a sweet spot with a little more tuning... 💯🤘🏼
I have a similar bucket of link makeithappeners, I also used losi turnbuckle. Little preload to one side makes my smt10 drive soooo much better. Sway bars help alot
Very nice! It looks a lot more stable with the sway bar.. By the way, I love the moment when you drove straight into the tree (@7min) Haha.. All that space and the rig chose to cuddle the tree instead.. haha..
Nice job! The sway bar made a huge difference. I was holding out for the Axial Ryft sway bar (not due until April), but I may have to rig my own up. Thanks for the info 😄
I moved the lower shock mounts back to where you have the links attached on the rear housing. I feel like I got as every bit as good of results and didn’t have to buy a thing. It’s working well for me. Nice set up though, yours has a cosmetic cool factor that mine doesn’t.
(Aluminum) put weight and less flexibility on the ground, (RYFT) needs serious tune-up to do, it looks good, hopefully 🤔 it gets better soon.🏗️🔥☕🤯🧙 always believe in upgrades.👍
'RC Guy Garage' has had great results mating Sledgehammers and other similar 'basher" wheels and tires to the likes of a Losi DB Pro, Lasernut, and a Majove UDR truck. Handling demonstrably improved on all of them; but they lost a certain amount of 'scale' realism, however. I predict that after you find the right amalgamation of mods to make the Ryft as much 'GO' as show it won't look as much like a 'Rock bouncer' as it will some sort of hybrid. Question! I got a "glitch buster" (BEC) sent along with a new servo recently. Where does one plug this gizmo in? My steering is acting a bit erratic and the RC suddenly shut down (leaving the front wheels still in the left-hand turn I was making). Then after a moment, she restarted for me. Maybe the old servo(which was similarly acting erratically did NOT need replacing?
A glitch buster is not a bec. Not even close. It stores energy to have in reserve for those “glitch” instances of low power due to high amp pull. It’s temporary at best of 2-3 seconds but that can be all you need. It should have an RX plug on it so any channel of the receiver that’s open is a place to install it. Just push it in like any wire with red/black correctly oriented and you’re good to go.
I can Hardly wait to get my parts, I've been working up a Solution myself. I'm going a slight;y different direction, because I want to run a dual shock setup. Drooping the Stock shocks to lower the CG a bit. GL with yours, looking good. Also going to An SSD Wraith trailing Arm with 3 mounting holes 2 Shock 1 Sway-bar.
@@ExocagedRC I hadn’t watched it run when I was typing that. You did a better one than that plastic factory one. Yeah that’s a good setup. It’s why I watch your stuff. Helps to cross fit stuff. You do well joe.
Totally different with the sway bar set up!! Yo can drag launch it now!! 🤣🤣🤣 Nice job. I’m picking one up soon but I have 2 other RC’s to purchase first. 👊👊👍👍
I do like the ryft but unfortunately it has been a pain everytime I drive it has resulted in a broken part different every run the latest was servo 😤 and I'm not over doing it with it's reputation so far 🙄 thinking maybe a recall from what I've seen and heard so far? Wish it was going better but it's turning out to be a money pit and that's if your lucky finding compatible parts
Sway bar looks good; i don't remember which youtuber but i saw someone with a reefs sway bar idk what car it was for originally. really looking forward to more videos with this and your bomber also your capra bouncer. are you going to try and do the pen spring mod like they do on the capras?
I’ve got a reefs bar on the way but had this and I like how it ended up. I don’t see a need for the pen spring mod on this. Besides I have a video to finish up for tomorrow that will be awesome and uses a DSM in the front
ye vitivon if you have another $400.00 Hundred dollars 😭😭 or at that price just buy 100 plastic replacement housing from axial. you'd be set for life 😂🤘🏼💯
As expected, indeed. Nowslam it by about half an inch, maybe more. Short springs under the pistons did it for me. And súddenly its potential becomes clear. What an UTTER blunder by Axial to cheap-out on the sway bar. ‘Ignorant Beancounters at work’
I can get 1 this year and at the moment I am torn between the Ryft or a Kraton EXB. I have the Lasernut and a Granite BLX. I like the potential aspect of crawling and love the solid axle on the Ryft. But the EXB is calling my internal bashing heart, but I feel there's a Ryft . Heart aches right? not sure if I could muster to a Yeti 2.0.
Changed it’s life Joe

nick is a good guy he helps a lot of ppl on the axial unimog page ....MOFO rc wins =]
You can definitely see how much better it is. I'm getting a custom sway bar this week.
Awesome job Joe making me want a ryft now 😀

Wow what a difference
Huge improvement. Looks like a fun rig.
Man, that makes a huge difference! Should probably come with a sway bar installed. Looking forward to what your going to do with it! 👍🏻
Vitavon should be here today...
@@ExocagedRC Nice! I like how you just custom made that sway bar, wouldn’t have come up with that, I think. Thanks for sharing!

Losi mini 8 turnbuckle? Might get ppl what they need
Idk what it was off of but it had the little grey cup ends on it. Reminded me of a small Losi of some kind.
That thing is so cool
I Love this RC~~!! If I chance to buy this, I will get it !!^^ Have a nice day~

I've seen several different ones that have been made so yeah it can easily be done.
Good video
Wanna make sway bars for all my RCS now looking at your results haha 👌🤘
oh man yeah, rear swaybars are important for sure
That mod not only kept that thing planted, it kept it from making that sharp torque-twist left. I think they should totally come stock.
yeah, it should have had this out of the box
A trick: watch movies at flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Connor Will Definitely, been watching on flixzone} for months myself =)

Yeah putting the shocks on the axle will help a bit. But also reduces travel and I want to keep all that on this one.
the link ends could be shorter, probbably half the height, that would give more clearance
Not really. Shorten them and you risk inverting the arms. That’s never a good thing. I could see maybe 60mm would be ok.
(Aluminum) put weight and less flexibility on the ground, (RYFT) needs serious tune-up to do, it looks good, hopefully 🤔 it gets better soon.🏗️🔥☕🤯🧙 always believe in upgrades.👍
Losi needs to add your sway bar setup and a two speed to make it worth buying. Just my opinion.

I wish I lived closer so we could have a RYFT comp once we get our Mods Sorted
Go to DSM OFFROAD and get one of his 6” mini snatch straps for the front. You’ll see that tomorrow I hope. Gotta get it edited and uploaded.
I knew you could do it! 👍😁
hello where can i find and buy this set of stabilizer bar for ryft. thank's
Should have it out the box. 💪🏼 vid thx
That’s gonna help a lot
Home made Limiting straps (pulling the rear down. Crank down the shocks tight )wld do the same as that. And easier.
not the same thing at all due to the loss of travel but could work until you get a better setup.

Hey man as long as you're cool with running non stop to flip it back over save your money man.
Round 2 now with the bomber
I have a feeling the bomber will get spanked pretty hard now.
@@ExocagedRC haha my thoughts too. Would be fun to see if the bomber could holds its own
You need a Mud Mountain at the Exoplex now ! ha ha
out of the Start gate hard right, launch the gap and up Mud Mountain
I’m looking for a tractor. If I can find one at a decent price I’ll have all kinds of dirt stuff.
Excellent video!
Any issues with broken front axels?
not yet
If you Mill down the piano wire you will get a little bit more flex in the back end
I thought about using 2s for crawling.
When we get the low gear for the trans it will crawl fine.
Can you use shock mounting risers used on the wraith lowering lcg kit.
I don’t think so
Not sure Im sold on this yet. I want the Yeti to make a Come Back
If they do make a yeti 2.0 or whatever it has, it will most likely use this rear axle.

It seems some batches had bad plastics. Lucky for me mine have been good so far
The Ryft tires seem to be ok. Are you going to try thme on a crawler?
I don't have any crawler that uses such a large tire, I agree the stock ryft tires are really good.
There like 6-7 inches HUGE
That's really cool~^^

yeah Vitavon is making new 7075 axle housings, I should have mine today so I'll show them soon.

How long was the bar you used. And if possible do u have a link for it
Links to the bar is in the description

Dual shocks?
No need for them. Not to say I’ll never try them but I don’t feel that’s needed especially with the Swaybar.

The. You will have something when you get it set down some
Oh it’s set down now. You’ll see
I think the reefs sway bar should work as well.
It probably does, I don't have one right now. I need to get one ordered, I should order a few and keep em in stock.
You could do another speed run now that it’s planted.
Yeah. I actually did that yesterday and it got 36mph but with slightly smaller tires on it. Such a better driving vehicle now.
You should really get a losi baja rey love the vids

CHECK OUT RC SPARKS RYFT HE HAS 2 SHOCKS AT EACH REAR END UPSIDE DOWN
I won’t do that, I feel the Swaybar is the better option.
