I loved it. Hugh Grant stole the show. Aubrey was super fun. Solid B rating from me. Not his best - but a fun popcorn flick with a great cast.
I watched it for Plaza. She was good. Grants English draw is cool AF. His Gentlemen bit.
I didn't expect this to come out after they pulled it from release last year but I'm looking forward to it.
I thought it was great. He mentions Mission Impossible, but the score made me think of Bond. I'm interested in how people think it compares to The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
Bond is a good pick!!

I definitely don't like him, but he was incredible in this. The credit scene made me want to see that movie within a movie.
The grey man was excellent
It was a fun movie to watch! Plaza, Grant, and Hartnett are the real stars. Really good at comedy! The reason the film was pulled from release for a year or 2 is two-fold. It was shot while many places were still in COVID lockdown and the “bad guys” were Ukrainian. Who knew?! It went straight to dvd with very little promotion and only limited release in 2023.

Saw it today and I had a good time. Not the best guy ritchie movie but still fun and I like all of his films (except Swept Away and Aladdin 2019) so it's hard for me not to enjoy one of his movies
I liked Aladdin and it was the last Will Smith movie I watched before the slap and it's going to be a while before I can watch Will Smith in anything so 🙄
@@rustyshackleford6035 I didn't like Aladdin because of Disney having their grubby little paws all over it and it felt so sterile and cheap. Would've been much more fun if Ritchie could put his stamp on a big budget Aladdin movie like he was allowed to do with Sherlock Holmes.

The movie was mid tbh.
My biggest complaints I have would be the break neck pace of the movie. The action is too cutaway and jumpy, like most other hollywood movies. And Its all plot, expository dialogue, and no character. I mean, the character's are cool and all, but the movie's focus is SO MUCH on the plot, that there isn't any time given to give a shit about them and make them beyond just cool. (But then again, this is a Guy Ritchie film. What did I expect?).
Wrath of Man was an outlier to this and had great characterization, and that's why its my favorite Guy Ritchie film, if I had to pick one.
But as mid as Operation Fortune was, the high points REALLY hit! The soundtrack actually goes kind of hard. Hugh Grant steals all his scenes. And there's a well built up negotiation/intimidation scene (With Hugh Grant) that's worth the price of admission alone. It was mid as a movie, but fun as a night out. I'll take it.

Yes, if James Bond and Jason Bourne , the man from UNCLE and Mission Impossible hadn't existed then this would not be a fun movie now. No Guy is completely wrong. Let him make a WW2 war movie or something

I'm really surprised more people are excited over a Boxing 🥊 movie then a new Guy Richie movie in my opinion Guy Richie is up there with Tarantino and Scorsese when it comes to Crime movies 😁👍

Apart from the gore the new Mortal Kombat was terrible, the original film captured the feel of the games alot more. Kano was better and Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Jax

I don't think she ruined the movie. There just wasn't much there. I mean. The jokes were pretty lame. Remember the one where Jason Statham asks for a bottle of 2004 Haut Brion on the private jet and Cary Elwes makes a face and says "Aaah." Then Statham says "I'll help myself to a beer." Oh yeah. Hilarious. I get it. His boss is a cheapskate. Then the meeting on the air strip when they land. Aubrey Plaza's character bows and says to Jason Statham "Your Highness." and he says "Apparently, you're the new John." Then she says "Not meaning a toilet or a prostitute's client, I take it. Please don't pee on me. I don't do that anymore." Who writes this crap?
I think it was postponed cuz of the Ukraine Russia situation.

@@ZachPopeReviews the movie felt more like a He-man movie than a King Arthur film. No Merlin and we don’t know if the lady in the film is Morgan Le Fey or Gwen. The movie is CRAP!!
What a boring film . Just waited for the laughs and GR guile . One too many I feel . Maybe it's done with GR films from now on for me
