@@makeitmakesense1504 Nursing, need to pass my Math TSI. Algebraic and quantative reasoning have been holding me back (by only a few points). I scored a 946 but need a 950 before I can enroll in microbilogy. Ill have 4 prereqs done by August but need a 950 to take my other classes and to get accepted into the LVN program this August.

Happy to let everyone know this guide helped me after 2 failed attempts I earned a 965 today. Take your time like she says I stayed for 1 hr 13 min and 4 seconds. Just take deep breathes and work through these problems!

Not me using my whole vacation week spending hours rewatching, writing and practicing everything in all of your vids everyday and finding out today I don’t need to take the Math TSI because I took it in 2011 😑

@@makeitmakesense1504 failed by 9 points, BUT that’s a major win for me because my score went up 20 points and I almost passed by next time I’ll pass but I did pass the reading and essay! I just did bad on the algebraic reasoning but did pretty good on the rest.

@@makeitmakesense1504 Miss Amy I tried my very best literally took my time reread the questions but i failed by 5 measly points 🥹 I have rescheduled my retest date for 2 weeks from now. All the material you review on your page almost reflects similar questions on the test which was great however a few questions tripped me up and was unsure of the answers!

How does someone know on the TSI test that P equals a positive number? I would’ve thought it meant Population

In question number 18 I understood everything but I dont understand how you multiplied the 2(1/2x^2 + 1/2x -21)*2
And then you got (x^2 + 1x - 42) how did you get the x^2 and the 1x
2 times 1/2 doesn't cancel out....
2 times 1/2 makes 1
Please explain how this supposedly "cancels out"

Hello! THANKK YOU !!This review has been very helpful! I am only confused on question 19. You mentioned that a real number is any# that is positive or negative etc. Why is a negative number in this question considered not a real #?
Good question!! A positive or negative number IS a real number: -3, -2, -1 or 1, 2, 3. But a negative number in a square root is NOT a real number because you can't technically find the square root of a negative number.
For example: -4 is a real number. The Square root of -4 is equal to 2i. That is an imaginary number because it has an i in it. I may make a video explaining this!

How do I know when to turn something into a binomial? This is about question 18 btw. I'm a bit worried I'll have to learn factoring again.

Y = -9, so so the y intercept is -9. But you circled the answer D. 9, not answer A. -9. Get someone to proof read before posting.

How many questions are on the tsi math part
There are 20 questions to begin, if you are able to get them all right, then you will be finished, if there are questions you get wrong the test will generate more questions for you to take. So it depends.
