hi there,
why sometimes we do 6 times the numbers in the (). like 6 times 0 and so forth.

Good question! It is called distributive property, meaning you multiply the number outside the parenthesis by everything inside it.
For example 3(x + 2) is the same as saying 3 times x plus 3 x 2 = 3x + 6
