The gamecube controller is my all time favorite controller, so I got the hall sensor version. Although it's a pretty cool controller, it feels light and cheap. The analog stick isn't as comfortable as the original but the d-pad is a huge step up. After playing with it for a while, I forget about the cheap feeling, but something about them doesn't entirely reach my comfort level. They are more of a novelty to me now than they are a default option. Maybe someday, someone will be able to create a joycon that completely captures the solid magic of the original Gamecube controller.
Partially correct. Those larger JoyCons, yep, all one factory, different labels. Their GameCube JoyCons, however, are entirely separate. See my teardowns for proof on that. Nyxi's face buttons are... not good. Doyoky's are good. Doyoky has a C stick that's very similar to GameCube's. Nyxi does... not. Nyxi's back paddle is... flush, but error-prone. Doyoky's bulges out and is annoying.
just ordered the back ones. I had the Nitro Deck from before, but was frustrated to slide out my tab every time I want to transfer files or even change the sd card. I hope these will be a good replacement
I tried this with my BINBOK joycons and I found out that if you have a controller that can be mapped in the Switch menu then you can use the SL and SR buttons for whatever you want. then just map those to the bottom button and walla the bottom button is A or X etc.
if you remap L3 to R3 (and vice versa) in the Switch settings and then remap R3 to the right joycon back button, will you get the the L3 function on the right joycon. is that a work around to cross mapping?
@@CarrotsNotCake I don't know what you're talking about that they can work on any controller You need the IR sensor to aim your throw of the Pikmin. Good luck trying to do that on a regular controller it'd be like playing Yoshi's Island without motion controls and trying to throw the eggs You just have to hope you time your button press correctly for it to go where you want. They really should use dual stick controls for Yoshi's Island.
@@SpaceCopper mmm actually didn't buy them. I ended up using my switch docked now. The joycons aren't terrible for me. If they hurt your hands though. These are perfect. I had a pair of the hall effect ones before they were hall effect. And loved it

They've just released a HALL sensor revision with a matching colour centre rail too, unsure if the button height was improved.
Is this confirmed?
BINBOK, DOYOKY, NYXI, IINE all seem to be manufactured by the same OEM, small variations but all really good in my opinion

I used sl and sr cuz when do you use those in game? (not all controllers allow remapping sadly)
GameCube layout is absolutely perfect for Pikmin. Almost like Pikmin was originally designed for the GameCube controller.
as someone who has only ever played pikmin 3 for the wii u idk how you would play it without wiimote and nunchuck
@@bland9876 The controls are very simple, so they kind of work on any controller.

@@CarrotsNotCake ok now you're trolling me.
Does it work with a wireless adapter on the GameCube console? Or do they have a wireless adapter?
It might work if you had a Bluetooth adapter for the GameCube but the lag would be pretty bad in that scenario
Now you're thinking with Cubes.
Gonna buy this , and the Hall effect ones
How do you like them?

Great review, I’m going to buy one. I just wish the video was about 36 seconds longer
Me too
Juat ordered the black ones, they get here on friday, i cant wait!
How did they work out for you?
Now I wish I didn’t buy these before I knew about code Jake because I spent so much on these
I got an ad on Gmail for these controllers.
Nothin beats the Nintendo Switch Pro controller 🤘🏾
Its true.
That doesn't attach to the Switch, though.
Huh?
I dont respect that opinion 😊
@@adambawaaneh4333 i agree with u
Now if only it had NFC, for amiibos.
I didn’t even think about that
The retro flag is a great controller in my opinion
They sent me one and it didn’t work at all😅
@@JakeSimmons did you turn pro wired communication on?
It is my favourite in handheld, even better than Hori Splitpad Pro for the motion control
Yo pedí mis controles y no me llegaron !! Los de Doyoky ya no contestan mis correos !! Me robaron 👎🏿 no compren con ellos es un fraude !
This convinced me to buy this over the Wizard
Gonna buy one to fortnite
Doyoky, or the weird small one?
why your wrong
hey you told me to tell you why your wrong so I did
