Ridden a few of those roads myself, great when they are quiet , which isn't often unfortunately... great vid once again and the what 3 words info is really handy.. Looking forward to ep3 👍👍👍
Hi Matthew, Thanks for your comment, it is handy with the what3words, I know when I watch other peoples vids, I sometimes get frustrated not knowing the locations. Cheers Steve
Ooh you were so close. Mortimer road is one of the best around there. It was resurfaced a few years ago to accommodate the tour de France although it is getting a bit shabby now.
@@Adventure4LifeTV Holmfirth is a good destination after Mortimer Road. Compo's chippy is another good tip followed by the road back to Glossop via Holmes Moss.
The tower that you saw in the field is called Boots tower.A wealthy gent called Boot had it built so he could see the grave of his wife in the church graveyard on the other side of the valley.If you head that way again as I hope you do instead of turning left and back to the A57, turn right and head through the Strines valley it's a stunning road with some technical tight bends, excellent views and fantastic tarmac and you will get abetter view of Boots tower and you can make a loop back round to Castleton round the back of the Longendale reservoirs, another good little road.Best wishes fella {A local }
Hi Nigel, Thanks do much for taking the time to let me know what the tower was. What a lovely thing it was that boot did. I want to go back now and have another look. next time i'm up there, I'll go check it out again and also check out the roads you mentioned. Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, I’m just waiting for my new R1250GS triple black to be got ready (pick it up Tuesday) and one of the first places I’m going is the Peak District so may see you there 👌👍🏍
Yes I see what you meant when you said “it’ll gets busier in the next episode”. It does spoil it a bit when there’s so many cars, walkers etc Not ventured over Ughill way, generally go along Mortimer Road as others has said, so that was a first for me - thanks
Lots of traffic out on this day but still a great ride. I know it’s a big country but maybe one day you can collaborate on a project with the other Steve at Planet GSA 👍😎
Hi, I have been watching your interesting videos from the province of Quebec Canada. I have two suggestions: Is it possible to install your camera above your screen, also, please give us more time when you show us a wonderful view of your landscape. Keep up the good work! 😉
Hi Marc, Thanks for commenting and watching. :) I am 5ft 6, so its really hard to get the camera up so high. I have got the screen down as low as it will go. I also like you point about the landscapes! your right, I'll defo spend more time focused on a beautiful scene next ride out.! Cheers Steve
I was out in Castleton myself that day (i recognised the group of motocross lads) , did winnats pass for the first time. Roadrunnerpics was taking photo on winnats so have a check he may have got you.
Those lads show up in the new episode. Maybe you will spot yourself on it.. let me know :) Roadrunner pics were there the day before me. I did have a look after you said. Cheers Steve
Looks a bit like Elan valley around those reservoirs but busier, so don't tell anyone 🤣 must get mine off optimate life support and get out on it before the gritters return to spoil things again.
I managed to get out both Monday and Friday to do a couple of hours to get some miles under my belt as I've not ridden since last October. Feel a trip to Elan Valley is on the cards next time I have enough time.
I think there's been a landslide Steve on Snake pass
Nice one Steve. As usual you randomly pick some fantastic roads and scenery and there are plenty in the Peak District. Take care 👍🏍🏁
Hi John,
Thanks for watching..
This weekend i'm heading to the Brecons so lets see what randomness I can find there.. :)
Steve
Oooooooh, very very nice sir. Thank u for this. Absolutely stunning !!!

@@Adventure4LifeTV I absolutely love it. I can't wait for it to warm up here and i can ride too :-)

Cheers Andy :)
Snake Pass was closed due to the recent storms, I'm sure there was a landslide or something similar 😳
fully agree, we need to be often on the bikes nowadays. The world is mad indeed
I’ve been round that area a few times, but need to go back as there is so much more to do and see 👌 the roads less travelled and all of that jazz 👍🏍
Hi Michael,
Thanks for watching.. i go back there all the time. I always manage to find new places every time..
Cheers

Incredible off piste journeys yet again, just wondered if you keep your GoPro plugged in at all times whilst riding?
Hi Josh, yes, the gopro is rolling all day. Then when i get back, I go through it all and cut it down to little bits.
Cheers
