All or nothing. I went to a gig he was doing in suburban Melbourne in 1995 that he did two songs and bailed, granted he wasn't well. I was sad . Still love him though.
@@gusdrivinginaustralia6168 Sorry to hear. I'm sure he must have been ill. Even with his book signing, he stayed for over 2 hours speaking to people one on one, taking a photo and being the last to leave.
This is solo Jimmy Barnes. The guitarist on Barnsies right is his brother in law Johnny Diesel (Mark Lizotte). Born in the USA IN 1966. Moved to Australia when he was five.
Saw Jimmy and Diesel back in the day with my boyfriend at the time. Perched at stage front right next to a speaker double my size. That man and I have been together now over 30 wonderful years. Simply awesome.
Every now and again you come across an artist a little left of center who you thank a spiritual god for bringing them into your life and they fast become a top 10 and in some way you actually don't want to share as you want that enjoyment to yourself.... that to me is JB, amazing artist with many strings to his bow, been doing it a very long time....
The very best I have ever heard is Home Free. Austin is the lead singer and it is the best ! This is ok, he has a good voice. So good you bring us music with a smile!!
Thanks Texas! I’d never seen Jimmy do this song and he didn’t disappoint. 😃 I think he’s up to 10 minutes per day on his exercise bike now and he walked 1 kilometre yesterday. His beautiful wife, Jane has him on an eating lean, massage, and exercise regime.
@@Texas_Love the last time i saw him in 2022 jane was on the stage playing guitar. If you know her background, she was way too petrified to do anything in front of a crowd. He must have encouraged her no end for decades!
If you ever get the chance to watch the documentary Working Class boy, it's Jimmy's story of growing up and well worth the watch, not sure where you would be able to watch it though
Another awesome reaction Mr Texas...one of my faves from Mr Barnes...wondering if you have reacted to " Id die to be with you tonight" or "When your love has Gone" with his then young daughter. Would love to see you check them out. Really loving your content my man.👌💕👍💖
Fairly certain it's Diesel on guitar. Pretty certain it's Diesel on guitar. Absolutely bloody certain it's Diesel on guitar. They share a family bond. Quick note: when Jim did all these soul covers it was as a solo artist - quite a few albums there.
I think somebody said he got the hoodoo gurus to fill in on rhe concerts he missed. Have you heard them, if not try, like Wow, Wipeout. They are touring the US about now.
Hi Texas Love , can you Please react to an Aussie band called Spiderbait the song is Black Betty , some might even say Spiderbait do it better than the original band Ramjam. So Texas Love do yourself a favour and chick it out PLEASE you know I don't disappoint.
Who the heck is Jimmy Barnes?!?!? No, nope, uh uh…..as I said in my comment to the Michael Bolton reaction……YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE HOME FREE COVER OF THIS SONG. Of the three, this is the absolute worst ( in my I opinion)…. he’s not singing, he’s screaming. 😖🙉 No thanks!
Personally, I think our Australian music scene is the best in the world..... the world just doesn't hear it.... but we get to enjoy it.... our modern bands and artists are just as good.... listen to Triple J, Unearthed, Like A Version or Tram Sessions.... I might be in my 50s but I keep up with our talent.... and they are brilliant.... keeping the spirit alive... no autotune.... pub rock or live sounds.... none of the US 'twee' shit.... that is all cameras, autotune and BS....
Johnny Diesel on guitar & singing alongside Jimmy 👏👏
having been to numerous Chisel and Barnesy concerts, you NEVER get a half-arsed concert. Jimmy ALWAYS gives everything he has got to the audience.
I believe it!😄

Thank you for the info! We need to check out Johnny Diesal more!
@@Texas_Love my recommendation would be Tip of My Tongue live at 1992 ARIA Awards.
Great song. Love how you start smiling as soon as Jimmy opens his mouth.
😁Jimmy always brings the smiles, I can't hold it in!
Best cover of that song that's ever been ... and he's also my favorite male vocalist
Luvd ur reaction to our great Aussie legend JIMMY BARNES.... much love from Perth Western Australia ❤❤
Saw Jimmy and Diesel back in the day with my boyfriend at the time. Perched at stage front right next to a speaker double my size. That man and I have been together now over 30 wonderful years. Simply awesome.
Awesome! Loving the same great music is an incredible bond!
That was so fecking good.
Agreed!!
Now you need to do Home Free covering this song. It's incredible
As always thanks thanks thanks. Wish I could live even one day with such passion.
I think the Home Free version needs to be next. It will blow you away.
I believe it!
Great 🎉looks like chisel

Fantastic, first time hearing this.

I understand that feeling! I feel lucky to have learned about him here on this channel!
You can never go wrong with Jimmy and Diesel, who also happens to be his brother in law, playing guitar along side with him.
The very best I have ever heard is Home Free. Austin is the lead singer and it is the best ! This is ok, he has a good voice. So good you bring us music with a smile!!
And guess what??? Your new favorite group Home Free also does this song!!! Check it out!!
Ooooooops!! After reading the comments down below, I didn't realize that almost everyone told you to check out Home Free's version of this song!!!
Awesome version. You really should check out Home Frees version.
We will see it here!😄
You should know by now Texas, that Jimmy keeps the family close. That is his brother in law Diesel playing lead guitar.
Love this, but we all love Jimmy down here down under 👍👍
Love Percy Sledge's version. Love Jimmy's version. He sure belts it out!!! Thanks Mr. Texas Love 💖💖💖
We need to see Percy sing it live! Maybe we can do Percy and Home Free's version back to back🙂. Thank you!
Love it! Jimmy rocked it out! Can we do Home Free's version of this song too?
Indeed! We will see it here for sure!
Smashed it bro!!
Agreed!😄
Dang. wish the instruments hadn't been so loud. great vocals! Check out Home Free's version. it's amazing!

Thank you for the update on Jimmy! Jane will get our guy stage ready in no time!

Barnestorming was Jimmy's third solo album, recorded live.
Long haired guitarist is Dave Amato, who is now in REO speedwagon
the legendary TOnN BROCK on drums,
If you ever get the chance to watch the documentary Working Class boy, it's Jimmy's story of growing up and well worth the watch, not sure where you would be able to watch it though
I do want to see it and read his books! Hopefully, it's on youtube!
Love your reactions. Home Free also does a cover of this song. You'll have to check it out and see what you think. Have a great day.
The guitar 🎸 player singer is his brother inlaw Johnny Diesel. Also check out Home Free version
Thank you! We will see it here😄
You should have a listen to Jimmy singing You’ll Never Walk Alone with his son David Campbell 😍
This was on the barnestorming album if I’m not mistaken
Yup. Saw Barnstorming on the screen there 🤣🤣

Thank you! We have not seen those yet, but I would love to!!😄
Love your work mate
Looks like Diesel (Jimmys brother in law ) on the left
sorry on the right
BTW...looks like Johnny Diesel on lead guitar.
His new band, Barnstormers, after hope operation, rockabilly

Johnny Diesel on lead guitar - Jimmy's brother-in-law (they married two sisters).
Diesel and Dave Amato on guitars..
Love Jimmy's version amd also like Michael Bolton version of this song
Jimmy solo. Diesel is on his right.
Just his hip surgery.Straight from the lady Sue.From Australia. 👍👍🥰🥃
🍟 This is nice, but I prefer Home Free's version - less raucous - more heartfelt. It is afterall a LOVE SONG.
Give it a try too, it's only fair. 💖🍟
Coming soon!
@@Texas_Love
Atta boy! 😉
It's such a pity that the instruments are too loud and you can't hear Jimmy properly.
Yeah, it's still really awesome, but I wish his vocals were a little more isolated, he's so good!!!
@@Texas_Love I agree.

Ramjam was a cover as well
Great call.
Thank you, Leigh! We will check it out!

Aussie Rock is for sure top-tier talent! We have so much to cover!
OK, I love Jimmy... but Percy Sledge is a legend as well x
