Brava! Out of many "super professional" restorers showing off their skills and costy tools, you do restore the way everyone can do using tools we all have in the shed and the result is really cool. 🙂
As soon as I saw it, before any restoration, I loved it!! Such character and really sweet on the eye. Thanks for saving the old lady!!! I don't though, envy you having to scrape and burn and and sand and pick all that wretched white paint off. A pure labour of love.
I usually don't like watching people that paint furniture because most wood is beautiful when done properly. I have to say I love your creativity for this piece. The color contrast and choice of hardware look very nice. This is the first video I have seen of yours, and I'm impressed. So I'm a new subscriber, and I'm looking forward to watching much more of your talented work. Great job!
I have been watching a lot of these videos. People just don’t take care of their things. I can’t believe they had these pieces in their homes. I can only imagine the cleanliness of their homes.
Amazing transformation on this furniture back to life now. It Is not possible to find a so beautiful furniture nowadays in a store so that it increases its value. Great idea to restore it as a consequence. 😉🤓
One suggestion, perhaps let your viewers know what product you are using, whether wood putty, or what number sandpaper you used. It would help those new to furniture restoration.
There are 2 UA-cam channels called rescue & restore . I had to find you by putting in all the words to the one video that popped up on my feed . The other channel restores old machines and appliances . It simply would not pull up your channel . Just thought you’d be interested . I was also trying to google it to see where you are from . Love your videos !
Put a 5 gallon bucket full of water on the warped door. Lay the door a flat surface hump side up and set the bucket full of water on it for a couple of days.
You make a very good job of that it is hard work! I enjoy to see women who can work with their hands it is a quality that seems to get harder to find. My mother is also talented in that way and she encouraged me to become a woodworker. So here is to you and your talents thank you for sharing! 🙂🇺🇦
Question - how did you heat ( steam ) the warped door before you clamped it down. I have a piece of furniture wich also has a warped door and would love you know in more detail what you did to fix. Thank you.
Very nice work! The right mixture of solid color and natural wood to highlight the strengths and hide the weaknesses. Wise decisions. What did you dip your heated hinges into, used oil?
Unless you are restoring this for yourself, you have to consider all the hours of labor and what your selling price is. Usually that amount of labor is better put into a piece that you can sell for a higher price❤❤
You Did A Great Job On This.... But I Was Truly Hoping That You'd Start Talking To Us About What You Were Doing.....It Was Like Watching An Old "Silent Movie" .....
I've tried to get a bow out of a board many times by clamping it to a flat surface and leaving it alone. I've even soaked the wood for several days prior to clamping. It never worked. What's your secret?
A lot of hard work to bring this piece back to life, but you did it. One teeny thing. Ditch the glamour shot of you with your bare torso. We aren't here looking for glamour - we're looking for how to refurbish furniture.
When you have to put that much wood putty on a piece, especially when it's in conspicuous areas, it doesn't look nice. Painting it is your only option. It's not a "female thing" it's an aesthetic thing. Paint is prettier then putty.

Thanks for the nice comment! I try for you!
You did an awesome job with few tools but your brain and hard work! ❤🎉
Marvelous restoration........ GOD BLESS.........🏴 🇨🇦.......💕
I'm not going to lie, but I was skeptical you could make anything from that. But you nailed it! Great job. 😎
I agree! She brought it back from the dead!! And had still managed to expose some of the natural wood on top of that!!❤
Absolutely STUNNING
Congratulations! It's a beautiful and new piece!🌷🌷

Watching you work reminded of watching my grandfather, who was a master craftsman, restore furniture. Beautiful!

...... It Also Helps To Wet The Warped Piece Before Adding The Weight....😉😎
Nice!❤🇩🇪

Throughly enjoy this.
This would make a great coffee stand or microwave cart.

If I saw a photo, it would be easier to answer))
I'm the 1000th Sub....Congrats!
Thank you🎉🎉🎉
Was really hoping for a power wash montage!😅
Thanks for the comment!
Nice job.
Looks like a different piece of furniture. What was the fire on the hinges for?
This is called metal bluing - first you heat it, then lower it into oil. This creates a protective black layer on the metal.
What exactly was the process with the hinges using the torch and dip in the jar?
And to think that it was on its way to the dump!
Very nice work! The right mixture of solid color and natural wood to highlight the strengths and hide the weaknesses. Wise decisions. What did you dip your heated hinges into, used oil?
Disodium salt

Found your work and video skills great, I subscribed!! What do you think the cabinet was originally made for?
I think this cabinet has a long history that we will never know about.
A lovely piece of furniture and well-worth saving. Was it being kept in a pig sty before? You did a great job and I like it very much! Subscribed. 👍🏻
🤗
What was that process with the hardware?
It has great bones, it's just cosmetic, and TLC it needed.
Use baking soda in boiling water to remove paint from hardware. It comes right off in about five minutes!
Okay I will try))
Incrível🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Obrigado por todos os seus comentários!
I've tried to get a bow out of a board many times by clamping it to a flat surface and leaving it alone. I've even soaked the wood for several days prior to clamping. It never worked. What's your secret?
How are you getting that shine on your wood?
Furniture wax

Beautiful dedication!
@@billgould7957 thank you
I don't think they will enjoy life in the vacuum cleaner 🤣
Did you check for lead paint?
No, why?
@@KaterinaBeloded because scraping off lead paint can get in your lungs and cause illness.
I wonder what this piece would have been used for...
She was in the kitchen
It was used as a rat nest before by the looks of it. Yuck! Great job
Thank you! Now there is no trace left of the roof))
Ну зачем вы покрасили прекрасную вещь,тем более так хорошо очистили и привели в первозданный вид.Очень жаль.

It must be a female thing to paint furniture. That would look pretty good on that drawer. I would think the whole thing would’ve looked pretty nice.
When you have to put that much wood putty on a piece, especially when it's in conspicuous areas, it doesn't look nice. Painting it is your only option. It's not a "female thing" it's an aesthetic thing. Paint is prettier then putty.
At the beginning, it looked like a bio hazard. I wouldn’t want to touch it without gloves. Yuk.
Now she looks better))
Thumbnail made me think that somebody turned a lady into a dresser
🤗
I'm a bit surprised you're still uninjured
