with the reduced staffing of the IRS you can technically do a bunch of sketchy stuff. and you won't get audited because they don't have the staff. Trump for instance did all sorts of sketchy business things and they only got around to auditing him now.
Normally if you have an accountant the accountant has insurance and if you can convince the accountant to go for it, its fine.
in this case their travel expenses were paid by Pokemon (Nintendo?) so they can't write them off. the souveniers if they stream and use them to decorate their streaming set, I would say they could be justified.
the suitcases themselves? I'd have to read the tax laws, but probably no.

So the thing about the mantyke card is theres only 4 and 2 of them dropped AFTER jaidens visit to japan. She went summer of 2023 and they dropped fall of 2023. So while innacurate at the time of the video was accurate at the time or the trip this is retelling. Just to clarify for thebpart where Nux points out the other mantyke cards.
Im high key hoping the new mantyke cards are a direct result of that visit. And thats why it even got a full art.
Pokémon listened and literally made two additional cards because there was only two.

I don't get why Nuxanor finds the concept of umbrellas on a hot day so absurd that it's funny. If you live in Singapore, you always take an umbrella or a pocket fan with you when it gets too hot. Which is literally everyday, early afternoon.
I can understand why despite being from Arizona the heat would be much for her in Japan. There are different types of heat, and Arizona has more of a dry desert type, while Japan being an island...esp in areas near the ocean the heat would be humid. Closer to what you'd get in a greenhouse.
Absolutely. I've been to Japan once and I've never felt that kind of heat before - insta-sweat. Like the SECOND you step out the door, no movement, just stand there and sweat buckets

Im going to Japan for my birthday this November and I genuinely could not be more hype for it. I've also made peace with the fact im gonna have to buy a jumbo suitcase while I'm there to bring back all the souvenirs/food for me and my loved ones
I've flown a few times. Best advice that can be given is buy the tickets WAY ahead of time. It cost me right at $2000 for a two way flight, in first class, to Germany and back to the US (with a week between arrival and departure). If I waited even a day longer to book it would've been triple the price.

As someone living in the states, from my perspective, it's kinda awkward, because nearly all the I.P.s I grew up enjoying were Canadian or Japanese, aside from Gene Roddenberry's stuff, and BBC Sci-Fi or Fantasy series. Even the Transformers shows I grew up with were English dubs of the Japanese Transformers shows if it wasn't Beast Wars/Machines, which lots of people forget was made in Vancouver. I think the only fully American I.P.s I grew up with were Land Before Time, Animated Disney stuff, Dreamworks, Pixar, Jurassic Park, Small Soldiers, and G.I. Joe. >.>

Nux: they don't name the roads, they number the intersections of roads (I think sometimes names are used) but it's the intersections that get identified.

3 weeks in Japan, that was the best spent money in my life, great food ( most of what we tried) amazing views, many weird things also like the amount of maids/m² in Akihabara... Saving up was worth it

I wish I can go Japan to do all the nerdy anime stuff, the food, check out their art stores and to see the beauty nature there. I was sad to see how corrupt pokemon is becoming, pokemon was my childhood. my video game orchestra i would want to go see in Japan is kingdom hearts. That music is my jam. I would go with a parasol umbrella, sun hat and use my cooling towels to keep me cool. I learned from my experience going to disney world in Florida.

Afaik the shiny hoppip was played on a "modded" rom, i think the rates is 1/500 i think. I know alpha mentioned it was modified to have increased rates.

theres a one piece world? she probably didnt know about that. guess thats another amusement park to add to her japan redemption list.. and that thing about the 2 disneys reminds me of the fact that mcdonalds and big mac's (the convenience store, not the burger) are just a furniture store apart from each other. you probably want the fries from mcdonalds, even tho theres fries at big mac's, probably cause mcdonalds has such a nostalgic taste, but big mac's has a lot of different flavors of soft serve where as mcdonalds doesnt even have chocolate soft serve anymore, so you go to big mac's for blueberry soft serve, or something. or you order onion rings and ice cream from big mac's, but the wind knocks your ice cream on it's side and you have to go to mcdonalds to replace the ice cream with a little bottle of milk
Can confirm, trains in Japan are very easy. The maps are in both Japanese AND English, and the signs on and inside the trains flip between the two languages are you're travelling. I had a blast when I went there.
They are also not just color coded, they have apps that help guide you.
