For a nuzlocke if you have a 2DS or 3DS then X and Y is probably a good bet, since those are considered some of the easiest Pokemon games, on the Switch we really just haven Sword and Shield and Scarlet and Violet, I would do Sword and Shield
And I think the difference between Japan and Florida weather is probably just the humidity. From what I heard Florida is much more Dry. While like Jaiden explained Japan tends to be more humid during the hot seasons
Ugh, humidity is the WORST. You feel warm and sticky, but you cannot depend on sweat evaporating to cool you off because there’s too much water in the air :(

Me personally, I would NEVER do a nuzlock run because I really don't need that much stress or depression in my life, that said I definitely have the utmost respect for anyone who does a nuzlock run and manages to come out on the other side at least MOSTLY alright.👍

if you aren't familiar with pokemon or nuzlockes, I would recommend Fire Red or Leaf Green for your first one...fairly easy games to get into it with and pretty forgiving for the most part

The later games tend to be a bit easier to nuzlocke. Gen 4&5 (so the DS games) are brutal. So maybe start with a later game, or do a regular run through of a DS game. You’ll probably get whooped if you go into a platinum or Unova nuzlocke blindly or with little to no nuzlocke experience.

Sword/Shield is probably easier because it shows the opponent's weakness if you've seen it once before whereas X/Y doesn't have that system.
My first nuzlocke that I actually finished was X, it was very enjoyable as a nuzlocke

Florida is definetly NOT DRY. It is extremely humid.
