Niwot 1st Place Boys 5K Sweepstakes at Desert Twilight Festival

Niwot High of Colorado became the first program in Desert Twilight Festival history to win back-to-back boys 5-kilometer sweepstakes titles by placing five scorers in the top 25 to prevail with 69 points at Toka Sticks Golf Course in Mesa, Ariz. Rocco Culpepper placed second in 14:44.3, Quinn Sullivan was 11th in 15:09.4, Ryder Keeton finished 15th in 15:12.9, Hunter Robbie achieved 20th in 15:17.2 and Keegan Geldean captured 23rd in 15:23.3 for the Cougars, who also had Gabriel Marshall grab 34th in 15:36.4, Cole Mazurana take 49th in 15:52.1 and Gavin Engtrakul secure 78th in 16:12.4. Niwot also triumphed in the 2021 boys sweepstakes at Desert Twilight as well.
