Awe man did you seriously have to call flat earthers stupid!? I have so much respect for you I love listening to you. That bugs me. I do believe in biblical cosmology and the same science that tells you that you come from monkeys and evolution is the same science that tells you the earth is billions of years old and that its an ever expanding universe. The Bible is a biblical cosmology book. I honestly and sincerely ask that you don’t mock. You might want to watch a doc called “The Principal” done by the top scientist claiming how wrong science has been and that they Believe In geo-centricity not heliocentricity. The saddest sound byte from this video is when Jocelyn said "I wanted to believe in God, but they destroyed that in me." Fellow Christians, do you see the ensuing tragedy when we, as ambassadors of Christ, representative of Him, attack the person rather than their sin? They take it as Christ rejecting them, not rejecting their sin. Pastor Jeff entreated this soul, showing compassion, patience and heartfelt care. He defined what God has named as sin, yet praised Jocelyn for the qualities Jocelyn retained that were a result of him being made in God's image. Thank you, pastor Jeff Durbin. You are a shining example of how to speak the truth in love. I will continue to study your methods so that I may walk as you walk...the way Jesus walked. You really do represent Christ.

The Church has failed misrably, I was fortunate enough to get saved in a Church back when I was 18 where everyone was so loving and gentle and where I was not judged, the love of Christ was so tangible, that made me fall in love with Christianity and I wanted to be like those Christians, live holy and righteous and obedient to God, only genuine love can do that.
Its not the failing of the church when someone has a misunderstanding of what hate means.
One of the ministries of the holyspirit is conviction to sin. We believers must soak ourselves in the holyspirit before preaching.

Now what you said was that that's not what this portion of the scripture meant, you gave it a more of a secular mushy worldly sensitive false love flavour, you even went as far as saying that the tax collectors and such unconditionally loved each other, you put the virtue of Christ aka unconditional love on people who were lost blind reprobate minded sinners like tax collectors and such, even though the Bible shows us how corrupt and heartless and vicious they were, you instead made Christians true Bible believing Christians look like we are the tax collectors and the torturers of people instead !

But despite of that, all thanks, praise and glory be to Jesus Christ that He gave a kind of heart to true Bible believing Christians that they preach the true Gospel to people, why ? To be "self righteous" ? To be "holier than thou" ? Or to love a person through the overflowing love of Jesus Christ through us Christians so much, that we are concerned about where these people will end up for eternity ?
What is being loving to another person ? A person who supports me in every self harming things I do and never confronts me about it instead "unconditionally loves" me and supports me in doing self harm ? A person who doesn't cares if I end up in hell for eternity or not ? That's loving ? So the vice versa is being hateful and being "self righteous" and being "holier than thou" ?
Do you know why people hate Christianity ? Simple because the Gospel shows the people their wretched sinful nature and THAT OFFENDS THE PEOPLE when the Gospel smashes down the idol of their egotistical "I'm a good person" self image into tiny bits and pieces !
Why do the people hate Christianity ? Because the Gospel shows the people their hopeless sinful nature and the rightful eternal condemnation and suffering awaiting them because of it in hell forever ! And the only hope for them is the Gospel, faith in the actual Jesus Christ of the Bible, the Gospel tells them to REPENT !
THAT'S WHY PEOPLE HATE Christianity ! People don't want to change their own ways !
That's why people hate Christians who preach the real Gospel because the actual Gospel shows the people what they need to be saved from and who is the Savior ! That's what people HATE !

You can preach to some till your blue in the face, and the cows come home, and they will never believe, so their heart has been revealed. There is a time where you walk. You give them the gospel, and the burden is on them. They don't believe because they choose not to, and they use any excuse under the sun, to justify their own unbelief, and rebellion. That's why the "argument" becomes circular.

If anyone could ever feel any justification for mistreating you for any reason, that person does not worship the Biblical God. I send you much love and grace sweetheart. As a fellow saint, there are several things wrong with your statements.
1. you mention "compassion". Even the athiest can exhibit compassion, empathy, grace, etc. Even the Hindu, the Muslim can exhibit this. Does that mean they are right with God? NOPE!
2. God doesn't have to look upon the heart. He doesn't have to go further than the satanic shirt he is wearing. Jocelyn's heart is stone cold towards the Gospel, and for that the wrath of God abides on him unless he repents and believe the Gospel.
3. To apologize for "church hurt" helps to spread negativity towards the church. Most LGBT people claim church hate simply because the church does not accept that lifestyle, especially in the congregation, where children are present. If a person continues in unrepentant sin, the church has the right to put that person out. (1 Cor. 5:2, 5, 9-13)
We must stop letting "Love" become an idol. Too many in the church are worshiping "Love" and not following what Jesus tells us to do. Stand on his word, even when they speak ill of you ("church hurt"). they hated Jesus, and they will hate you too.

When he started talking about the real real reason he left the church, I almost started crying. I felt his pain in my soul. I hope he realizes that those people that hurt him have free will to do good and bad and they chose to do him wrong. But Jesus love is pure. I hope one day he can see that.

The thing with homosexuality and transgenders is that they’ve been told that they must change before they come to Christ , THIS IS NOT TRUE, the Bible says to come as you are, meditate on the Lord all your days and he will make straight your path, it’s not about cleaning up your life before hand, that would be like taking a bath before you take a shower.
