Thank you so much for video. I find new menthod by looking this. No need to remove any parts & fix all missing print head. Send 1 print from computer. As soon as it start unplug power cable. Take papper towen & do couple of fold. Soak with after shave or alchohol + few drops of water. Keep soaked papper on printer as in video. Rub printhead as in video. Leave print head few minutes. Repate process couple of times. I did 10 times with new papper tower. Fold three or four towel & repeat process as in video. I bring back my printer :) 100 % work.
important information. to clean the printer head you don't have to remove ANY of the parts shown in the video. Just lift the scanner and then press X-button on the printer for a few seconds.
Sorry, but what is the "x-button"? Do you mean the on-off button at the front, the on-off switch at the left side or the #-button? Thx for your answere.
Yeah but that just gets it out of the carriage lock. How the heck do you clean the printer head? I've been trying alcohol-soaked paper towel and then rubbing the head on it. Have no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing LOL
How to remove the panel where the TFT is. It stopped working and it's blank. Are the contacts dirty? Or do I need to change the entire TFT panel? Any suggestion. Thank you very good your video.
Did this clean get you proper printouts again? I've unclogged my printhead and got "perfect" cleaning testreports, but when printing in color like documents and so, its still partly faded.. I'm going to try and clean it again, both more properly like you did in this video, but also with flushing the tubes and nozzles - carefully of course :) I've bought some cleaning fluid from octopus concept and that surely unclogged the nozzles that was more or less completely clogged.. but I'm still struggling with the faded prints... wondering if I perhaps should flush the lines and nozzles with actual ink.. as it might be cleaning fluid still in the lines.. I got ciss system for my printer, brother mfc-j6520dw, so ink is no problem.. but I don't want to clean it like last time, having a kitchen paper under the print head, because that got messy quite quick and its quite a lot of fluids to handle.. Anyhow.. giant blob of comment there.. but any ideas? Great video otherwise, giving me back the strength to perhaps tackle this problem yet again :)
@@sgtbilkothe3rd I have "everything" to try it out, but haven't got around to actually try it yet. I would really love to do it, but I don't know when.
@@ChrisFredriksson I found two videos for complete disassembly of my unit on UA-cam. One from Australia, one from India I believe. My problem seems to be either air in the yellow ink line, or a blockage somewhere in the yellow ink line. Unfortunately flushing the yellow line with cleaner fluid from printheadhospital has not cleared the problem. I will need to disassemble the unit to get a clear view of the entire ink line to try to diagnose where the clog or air bubbles are. I will be trying this today. I will post links to the videos relative to my situation below.
i have an issu with mi printer 6530 after a few prits its start to print with blanc stripes so i have to use the menu to purge the printhead again and print again , this happens every 10 to 15 prints.... what could it be?
Or try purging from the service menu. Hold the house symbol for about. 5 secs. Ascreen will appear. With horizontal boxes. Press the bottom blank box. Then enter *2864. Then purge code 76 then 4 which is purge all

@@the_squirrel Ok, thank you. My printer stands in my office in a dark desk. Never saw that there is a red X!?! But - of course - there it is!

@@77Avadon77 I placed at first wet and then dry papertowels under the printer head and moved ist sideways.
Worked perfect for me.
How do get the thingy to move
How did you remove the right hinge of the scanner assembly?
i think you need only unbolt left side and then you can lift the scanner up
there are two screws at the back of the printer
